History

The year 4E 23 was, for the most part, an extremely critical point in future clan founder Isaough Ashd's life: first of all, his life as a zu'aan came to an end when his family died of a sudden illness, forcing him to relocate to another region; then, as a result of his misfortune, he was spotted by a kin'toni and tried to escape its clutches in vain as he was turned into a kin'toni himself. For a few years in his life it seemed as though his misfortunes would come to an end, but that changed when an plage hit the Dhiordan Kin'toni Clan's region, thus causing him to relocate again, thus deciding to settle in a tropical region.

That was not far from the Dhoirdan clan's place of residence. In this tropical region he thrived ever much so, going as far as to declare himself the leader of his own clan, which he would name the Eladlye clan. He wasn't worried about having to leave his former clan's region, for he knew that he was in a good place in the present region, so he dedicated each of his nights to turning zu'aan to build his army of kin'toni and one day have his dream of maintaining a fairly large army fulfilled. Although he never actually got his wish during the span of his life he managed to turn more than five hundred zu'aan.

This was with the help of the rest of the clan. This was within a span of thirty years, although about ten per cent of his turnings resulted in death. After discovering that he was good at turning zu'aan (but not necessarily the best at his craft) he eventually decided to lessen his role in his new clan, thus calling for an open campaign to turn as many zu'aan as possible, a campaign in which only about ten per cent of the clan agreed to participate in. This didn't discourage him to make amends with his old clan, however, late in his life in the year 4E 104 he travelled to the Dhiordan region to meet with their new, leaders.

And in doing so they instantly recognized him, not as a traitor, but as a man who simply needed to cut his losses in a time where so few survived. Thus, after a candid conversation filled with ups and many downs, after which he tragically suffered a heart attack and died. After his death, the whole Eladlye Clan worked together to name a successor to the Eladlye clan's throne, at which point they were able to find one after a whole century of looking and searching. Since then things have not turned as well as Ashd originally intended, for after his death the Eladlye clan suddenly contracted an illness.

In time, it burned out, however, by that time the clan had been depleted to more than six hundred kin'toni in total clan population. The lack of zu'aan sightings have not helped the clan, either, and with an Ice Age looming things could quickly turn south.

Psychology

Most typical Eladlye kin'toni in general are not as cheerful as they seem to appear. Some of the kin'toni often develop certain mood swings when not around others, with most experiences changing from happiness to depression as a result of their experiencing flashbacks of all of their past failures. Some of the kin'toni in the clan even have daymares in their sleep, with most dreaming of their forgotten but bitter upbringings and some crying in their sleep to combat these aforementioned dreams. Despite not suffering from any kind of illness, these Eladlye kin'toni have a dark past.

That they would otherwise not be so willing to share with other kin'toni, much less those from their own clan. It also comes as not entirely a big shock to many who have studied the Eladlye kin'toni in the past that they are also very hyperactive in terms of activity, going as far as to let impatience and being in a constant rush to get things done get the best of them. With most of the Eladlye kin'toni in the clan having some sort of a backdraft from all of their sudden activity it also comes as no surprise that the typical Eladlye kin'toni worries way too much about things that one cannot control on one's own.

And as a result, some have suffered stress attacks as a result of their slight disconcertion. For that very reason, some don't interact with the outside world very often, if at all, but when they do it is only to feed on certain large animals within their region. Members of the Eladlye kin'toni clan have a tendency to stay up most of the day, and it also might explain why most Eladlye kin'toni aren't all that able to sleep during the day for an extended period of time because of the given circumstances of their region and how warm a typical night is. In retrospect, only about seventy per cent of the Eladlye kin'toni population are able to sleep for an extended period of time during daytime hours.

Strangely enough, most Eladlye kin'toni is not as patient as they claim to be, with some going as far as to let off some steam every once in a while when they can't come up with any other way to release stress when the pressure gets to them. Because of this, Eladlye kin'toni seems to have a short fuse when working under pressure, but when there is no deadline set for the near future or the deadline to get something done is farther away in time they appear focused and determined, with not much of anything getting in their way to getting something completed, not even stress.

Biology

The Eladlye are adapted to the hot, wet, and dense Vxrek Tropics. They are lanky, flexible, and relatively low-mass of build, adapted for fast movement and agility. The downside of this is being less able to withstand powerful kinetic impacts. Their skin is dappled in shades of green and brown for camouflage. This skin is thin, heavily vascularized, and coated in a waxy, fungal-resistant biofilm. The skin is adapted for rapid heat exchange. This skin lacks the typical toughness of kin'toni skin, and is susceptible to lacerations from thorns and sharp foliage.

They lack hair on their heads, in replacement having water-shedding patches of coarse, dark fur on the major joints and the back of the neck. This fur aids their thermal regulation and camouflage in the deep shade. Their ears are large, cupped and mobile, adapted for isolating the minute sounds of movement in the dense jungle. This can lead to them being overwhelmed and directionally confused by cacophonous noises. The eyes are bright green in color, and are adapted for the low-light conditions beneath the dark canopy of the tropics.

The nose is large, and adapted for identifying minute changes in humidity and air pressure, as to predict approaching rain or storms. The downside of this is being able to be overcome easily by strong smells. Their teeth are long, thin and serrated, for piercing and draining rapidly the low-nutrient blood of small, tropical prey. These teeth are fragile, and prone to breaking. The enhanced, flexible larynx allows them to perfectly imitate sounds, for communication and startling prey.

Their claws are long, curved and retractable, adapted for wet, slippery bark and gripping mossy stone surfaces for climbing. The feet are long and flexible, with an backward-facing, opposable toe that aids gripping branches but makes movement on open ground hard. Their major joints are hyper-flexible, able to move in ways zu'aan joints cannot. These joints are adapted for climbing, not for movement on flat, open ground. The joints are prone to dislocation due to significantly reduced stability. The circulatory system has specialized shunt valves.

This is for rapidly redirecting their blood flow to the extremities for quick cooling. They also have recycling glands optimized for non mammalian blood. By being optimized to quickly process the low-lipid, high-water content blood, they can feed quickly off native lifeforms. The downside of this is an less efficient system needing them to drink more non mammalian blood same nutritional value. The Eladlye have an high tolerance for ambient humidity and heat. This allows them to remain active without heat exhaustion, even in the hottest nights.

The downside of this is being highly vulnerable to rapid hypothermia, such as if they are soaked or exposed to cold environments. They are also highly prone to frostbite in cold environments, due to a mix of their loss mass build, their thin skin and the fact their fur tends to trap water.

Culture

Generally speaking, most Eladlye kin'toni has a unique culture about them that makes them stand out somewhat above most other kin'toni clans. For starters a typical Eladlye kin'toni can speak up to three different languages, they also have their own official language which is spoken in a tongue that is only spoken in their region and other regions like it, as well as a secret language which is a combination and crossover between sign language and facial expressions. The language of their clan has a written script with thirty-six letter symbols and uses a base eight counting system. The script is made up of jagged lines.

Eladlye kin'toni were never good at painting things, but they are still very useful architects, often scribing different architectural designs on pieces of stone to construct future plans and projects for their clan's region of residence. Because of this, many of the kin'toni in this clans have a strange way of communicating their plans with one another, often keeping their plans hidden in a special cave known as the Gwraiwaz (translation: Cavern of Constructional Design), where it is has been suggested that the best-laid plans of the Eladlye kin'toni clan have often been kept for future storage and reference.

Even so, their best-laid plans normally don't go astray. Strangely, Eladlye kin'toni is also very good swimmers, however, they can only go a certain depth before the water pressure proves overwhelming. Nonetheless, most Eladlye kin'toni likes to swim around their part of the region from time to time, and that is one of their special hobbies that prove to be quite useful. In addition to that, they typically bathe in the sea next to the tropical edge of the land part of their region and they will generally dunk themselves into the water several times to get themselves clean; however, they only do this one or twice a week.

The Eladlye kin'toni (or most of them, for that matter) have a very striking fascination with their clan founder Isaough Ashd, with some even going as far as to drive themselves to become more like him. Given that, there is a special cave dedicated to the clan founder, who supposedly made the earliest archives of the clan's chronology throughout his life, and this cave, which has an entranceway that is almost always blocked with a heavy boulder, can only be ventured into if one knows a secret passcode. This cave's only entrance is guarded by a group of four Eladlye kin'toni, who generally are on the lookout.

This is for those who either plan to intrude upon the cave's contents or just go inside to view the clan founder Isaough Ashd's archives.

Government

The Eladlye kin'toni clan's government commonly referred to within the clan as the Ygvred'za, is a primarily neutral governmental entity that is run by three military leaders, three religious leaders, and several clan leaders which both have equal responsibilities. The two clan leaders that are responsible for presiding over the activities and meetings of the Ygvred'za are also the ones that typically have the final say in determining the fate of certain legislations, be it executive or judicial, and as a result, these decisions are often decided in an arm-wrestling match between the two clan leaders.

At which point the winner will have an opportunity to decide the fate of the proposed legislation singlehandedly. The Ygvred'za also has the power to decide upon various different military strategies for the Eladlye clan, but in these cases in particular these decisions are decided upon by the military leader with the most power, namely the Fuzaxga, or Commanding General. The Fuzaxga has the power to have the final say in determining what military actions must be taken in the event that the other two Zuraozas, or Vice Commanding Generals, don't agree on a possible solution for said military proposals or other military-related legislation.

Given that, it also comes as no surprise that the three military leaders are also the leaders of the clan's military, but the two clan leaders often ask them to appoint three alternate military authoritarians to be designated by the military leaders themselves when they are involved in military activities. Vacancies within the Ygvred'za are often quite rare and have only transpired a select number of times since clan founder Isaough Ashd founded the Ygvred'za in the year 4E 6540; therefore, in the event of a vacancy, a special arm-wrestling tournament is held in the Eladlye clan's region to determine who will be responsible for filling the vacancy and becoming a new addition to the Ygvred'za.

The kin'toni responsible for winning this special arm-wrestling tournament will also have a special advantage in the Ygvred'za, but this special advantage must be used sparingly and not very often, The event that leads to a rare and otherwise unexpected vacancy within the Ygvred'za has sometimes been known to be either a death within the Eladlye government, a sudden resignation from someone from within the government, or a firing within the government as a result of the accused's supposed wrongdoings against the government and clan. In some cases vacancies have occurred within the Ygvred'za as a result of someone within the Eladlye government developing a terminal illness.

Military

The Eladlye kin'toni have their own special group that acts as the clan's military; this group, referred to as the Ygezaozsa'da, is comprised of more than seventy percent of the total population of the Eladlye clan and represents the clan's strongest and most loyal servant kin'toni. The Ygezaoza'da is run by three of the members that make up the Eladlye clan's governmental entity, all of which serve as one Fuzaxga and two Zuraoxas. The military leader with the most power serves as the primary leader, while the other two serves as the clan's associate military leaders.

Anyone that has been fully transformed during the turning process is eligible to join the Ygezaozsa'da at any time, and all ages are eligible to join as long as they are fully transformed. Once the applicant applies to be a soldier in the Ygezaozsa'da, they are given a three-week waiting period to train for the basic training course that lies in front of them, and once the three weeks have passed they are immediately initiated into the Ygezaozsa'da and will then undergo a physical examination, at which point their mentality and strength will both be tested to determine just where if anywhere, they fit in this sponsored military.

Ninety per cent of the Eladlye clan apply to become soldiers for their clan's military, but only roughly seventy per cent of those that apply ever make it through basic training. Every night you are relentlessly tested beyond yourself to become the very best that you can be, and when given an opportunity to learn something one must be prepared to learn it in every different way imaginable. kin'toni in this military will be taught how to climb their region's mountains, which are located on the outskirts of the region, and they are also taught things relating to how one hunts efficiently and effectively.

Which comes at a given price over time if one is willing to pay attention and learn. Given that, roughly sixty percent of the kin'toni in the clan are active in the Ygezaozsa'da and they are on the constant activity as they are supervised by one or even both of the Zuraoxas that preside over them and watch their every move. With a simple heartfelt bit of motivation and drive one can achieve one's own full potential in the Ygezaozsa'da, with the unique abilities given to them and attained over time in order to rise up the ranks in the clan. The clan's weapons are short swords of bone and knives of stone. Their armour is made of leather.

Religion

Spiritually speaking, the Eladlye kin'toni have a religion that is generally ruled by the three religious figures that rule the clan's primary government, and these religious figures include the Mivzaua (or, Priest), as well as the Zoqinmivzaua (or, High Priest) and the religious leader with the most power, which is known among the clan as the Yrziaxala (or, Chief Priest). At least one of these three religious leaders are present during every religious service, including the Zoqizaua, who generally presides over each of the normal religious services, which are referred to as the Turydins.

Whereas the Yrziaxala is present in special religious masses, which are often referred to as Pzraci. Each of the three religious leaders considers the ancient archives and scriptures of clan founder Isaough Ashd to be sacred and holy, and these particular scriptures, which are hidden in a cave whose entranceway is almost always blocked by a large boulder, are available to anyone in the clan who is willing to venture into this cave to view the archives as long as they can muster up enough strength to push the boulder out of the path of the entranceway. Thus, they say that one is often guided by an ancient spirit.

While venturing into this cave, and that spirit, supposedly that of clan founder Isaough Ashd, is said to dwell within the confines of the cave and allows itself to give the venturing kin'toni(s) a sense of spiritual and even divine self-worth. According to many within the religious sectors of the Eladlye kin'toni population, it is against Rtycrarylian standards (Rtycrarylia being the clan's religion of choice) for a kin'toni in the clan or outside of the clan's region to steal from the cave that contains Ashd's archives. Any such attempt to do so is often believed to be treasonous and those that are caught.

Will more than likely be put to trial in front of their peers. Anyone that is convicted of such a crime could see their lives go up in smoke as the most common punishment for such a treasonous act is decapitation followed by the body being burned with the severed head on a stake. Generally, when it all comes down to it, the Eladlye kin'toni are very religious and believe that the spirit of their clan founder can only be found in a cave whose entranceway is blocked by a boulder to prevent the spirit from escaping. This cave, which has supposed to serve as the spirit's home for the better half of 150 years.

Is often considered to be the holy grail of the Eladlye clan's existence, and for one to vandalize or steal from such property is like signing one's own death warrant. So, given this, it comes as no surprise that the second-largest cave in the Eladlye region, known as the Ynaosa (or, Chamber of Worship), is often home to all of the clan's religious services,
