Geography

As for before the flooding, the Xisic people already lived in the trees, but after becoming kin'toni the clan actually built better buildings. Nowadays their suspended villa can even be called a village. There are no possible ways to enter or exit the village, but for jumping out of it and drowning. The best way to explain the structure of their housing is by levels. The first one being the closest to the waters. The first level is solely used by the fisherman, and it is forbidden for everyone else to try and enter it. The second level is where the reoruv is kept, the third level is for social gatherings from the clan, and the last level is for housing.

Before becoming kin'toni, the clan's biggest concern while building their houses was rain, but as it is the sun nowadays, as they need to hide from it, the clan was able to create a way to completely secure their ceilings and walls. The first level is filled with what could be called docks, with stairs almost touching the waters. These levels have conections with other docks in other trees, as the clan needed to walk above the waters to release their fishing nets. For the second level, there are some pathways for the people to reach the first one, while most of it is compose by buildings, similar to coops, filled with the reovur creature.

To reach these levels, it is necessary to reach one specific room in the third level and get down with ladders. Since the people needed to move food from the first and second level to the others, the Xisic people created a very unique pulley system, working with the weight of the load they had to take up. The second level was shared with working stations and social areas, almost like a plaza with a market on it. As the Xisic people had to work with small spaces in their tree houses, their village became a complex structure, where the second and first level had levels within them, that could be reached using stairs.

The second level is divided in three parts. The third one being closest to the water and the first one to their housing. The third part was solely for working stations and tradings with these specific areas, not for the people to buy, but for sellers to specifically exchange their products, for example, a wood-worker selling carved rods for a fisherman. The second part was used as a general market, where people could buy foods, appliances and more from these workers. The first part was solely for social gatherings, even including a structure where the people could light up a firepit.

As for the geography of the Swira Flooded Forest, before being flooded it was possible to find a small river dividing the land. The size of the river was given by the damns built by the clan. This river actually came from the ocean nearby the region, coming from inside a mountain that holds the ocean back.

Plants

As the environment of the Swira Forest completely changed by being flooded, the fauna and flora also changed. It was no a drastic change, as the location of the forest, near the ocean, made the underground waters feeding the plants already similar to the water now covering the grounds of the forest. The most common tree to be found in the region is the ceonon, used by the Xisic Kin'toni Clan, and of course, by the zu'aan Xisic before the kin'toni, for the structure of their houses and village. The trees are tall, sometimes reaching over twenty meters, with a strong and thick body and branches.

The Xisic people used to cut the trees down for their wood, but nowadays it is basically impossible, they focus on using only branches if needed. As the ceonon is used for their houses and the branches work as naturally made ceilings protecting them from sunlight, they rather make usage of the poence wood. The poence is another tall tree located in the region, but while the ceonon was used for housing, the poence was solely used for cutting down in case of need and to build their dams. Nowadays, as the poence grows together with the ceonon, the clan needs to cut out the branches of the tree, which they also utilize for their needs.

For life before the flooding, the Xisic people used to plant a lot of crops native to the region, like the marques and the zambre, both root vegetables with green thick leaves. The vegetables were used as food by the Xisic people, normally the zambre was eaten raw and the marques boiled into a soft consistency or roasted over a firepit. One of their traditions included the nihylo plant, known to grow near the roots of trees, this plant had long green blades that were used for threads and fabrics, used in the construction of their houses.

Hansef; Known to be a type of parasite flower, growing on the trunks of the ceonon. The hansef looked like a flattened lizard with strong colours, like pink and red. With time after the flooding, the flower slowly died and did not come back.

Gleti; Another type of plant, that was actually heavily missed by the Xisic people when they drowned their lands, as this plant had a huge variety of colours, growing randomly on the ground, they would use it as a fabric dye. Some people even started to grow these flowers, with the sole purpose of turning them into the dye and selling it around the village. They were able to keep some of the plantations, as people kept it in vases, but the plants slowly started to die and disappear, without the real soil to keep them alive.

Another plant to go extinct after the flooding was the wimic. Known to be a large round vegetable, growing on trusses on the ground, the Xisic people were quite fond of this vegetable, considering it grew bigger during winters when food was rare. The people used to ferment chunks of this vegetable in the stomach of some creatures from the region for one week. The drink then, called atriev, was boiled and shared hot among the people.

Animals

Nowadays the fauna of the Swira Flooded Forest is mostly made out of birds, fish and insects. Many of the ground creatures drowned or were able to escape, migrating to another place or failing to do so and dying.

As for the birds' category we have;

The reoruv, known to be the most important creature in the diet of the Xisic people before turning into kin'toni, these birds would nest on the ceonon tree, making it easy for the Xisic people to hunt them down. One important aspect about this bird, after a while, was actually tamed by the Xisic people. They would cut the wings of the creature so it would not be able to fly, and put them into a structure made just for the purpose of breeding the reoruv and harvesting the animals' eggs.

Vizent; A huge bird of prey, normally weighing around 150 kilos and growing as tall as two and a half meters, the creature was used by the Xisic people for its meat and the stomach, used to brew and ferment a drink common with them, called atriev.

Raudio. A smaller bird, commonly ignored by the clan in the past, but highly used by them nowadays. As the thick feathers of the creature tend to fall a lot, mostly in their village, the clan uses it as accessories for clothing.

As for the many sea creatures who now dwell in the flooded grounds of the Swira Flooded Forest. Bediur; The biggest fish to be found in this region, with an elongated reddish body, the bediur tends to grow as long as twenty meters, being called a beast by the Xisic Kin'toni Clan. They always try to kill the creature with spears when they see it, as the animal is able to jump from the water. Which has happened before, with the animal jumping and biting a platform, completely ripping it apart and destroying the part of their village.

Mizat; This smaller fish is the number one choice for blood for the Xisic Kin'toni Clan. They are able to catch the mizat in groups using fishing nets. The clan avoids contact with the water, but normally they will climb down two separated trees, tie the nets between said trees, reach into the water, and leave it for some days. For getting the nest back, two members have to enter the water and tie the net together in some sort of a bag, so the fish can't escape.

Surfor; A yellow small fish, which appears in the region only during the warmer months of the year. This creature is commonly caught in nets as well with the mizat, it is heavily appreciated, as the clan says it tastes better than the mizat.
