The known history of Pztiakyztmo Brumal Forest dates back to the Medieval Era, during the reign of a very powerful king who believed in the power of self and felt all troubles his villagers had and that of the other neighbouring villages had to go through his cabinet before a solution was proven true. The area in which he ruled was inhabited by five different clans namely, Ky’azak, Kuboni, Kizenki, Ky’at and Kaos. These tribes had a deep reverence for King Is’akar who had ruled over the villages, and the forest which was believed to be the home of many powerful spirits and mystical creatures. The villagers often held sacred ceremonies and rituals within the forest's boundaries for fear of what would happen to whomever ventures within its confines.
In the medieval period, the forest was known for its abundance of rare plants and animals, which made it a popular destination for hunters and gatherers. These hunters were chosen specially and given the tools and training, including taught how to kill the creatures by King Is’akar himself. It was often rumored that the King was a descendant of from the gods. These practices were held for many years until the invasion of the villagers by the Krel. These Krel zu'aan first came in trickles of three persons until they had taken over the most part of the village. As Krel settlements expanded, the forest came under threat from deforestation and over-harvesting.
The local rulers eventually realizing the importance of the forest, declared it a protected area to ensure its preservation for future generations. This caused a war to breakout between the villagers and the humans. At the end of this war, most of the original dwellers had to flee into the mountain side having lost the wars and houses to the invaders.
Geography
Pztiakyztmo Brumal Forest is located forty miles to the south of Meircad Deciduous Forest and twenty eight miles west to the coast in the land of Taerel. The village covers an area of over 100,000 square kilometers with a beautiful landscape. The forest is known for its diverse terrain, including rolling hills, deep valleys, and steep cliffs. The forest is also home to several rivers and streams that provide a lifeline to its inhabitants. At the south side of the forest is a big waterfall which spans up to two kilometers all round with the most breath-taking scenes the eyes can see at once, and a height of three thousand feet in height such that the water feels as though its pouring from the sky in a thunderous clap. This water from the waterfall creates a stream at the base. The brook boasts the clearest water in the area such that the depth of the water is visible to the naked eyes. Whats more interesting about this stream is the fabled healing capacity which the water has.
On one side of the stream, it is chilled and the other side is warm even though the water from the waterfall has just one temperature. The legends among the clans living in the village say that whomever drinks of the water attains the powers of the gods including immortality just like King Is’akar. Many hunters who have gone into the forest have never been seen or heard from again for it is rumored that many who had ventured up to the location of the mystical stream were devoured by the wildly weird looking creatures inhabiting stream and most were killed by wild animals. Only a few hunters however survived.
