Geography

Places in this region include the caves of Vaur Mane. These cave was where the Ayd clan lived. It its in the southern part of the region.It is made up of passages that join downstream as tributaries. It was formed near a sinkhole where groundwater recharge occurs. Each passage or branch is fed by a separate recharge source and converges into other higher order branches downstream. It still has the bone decorations and crude cave paintings that the Ayd clan put there long ago, The caves have only animals and a few rouge kin'toni living inside. The rouge kin'toni are exiles from the Meullton kin'toni Clan.

Another place is the caves of Aaud Baaul in the east part of the region. It formed from intersecting fissures of carbonate rock that have had fractures widened by chemical erosion. These fractures form high, narrow, straight passages that persist in widespread closed loops. It still has the crude blasphemous idols that where put there long ago by the Ayna clan, now toppled, defaced and cracked. There are crude paintings on the walls, said to be of the Elder Gods that the Ayna clan worshiped. There are still a few kin'toni cultists that live in this cave, they come from many clans.

Most of the Meullton Clan live in the caves of Batda Vensak. It is near the south-east of the region, in one of the more wet parts of the region. This is a large sinkhole that is around three hundred feet deep and one hundred feet in diameter. Meullton Clan kin'toni live in small dwellings carved out of the rock face with crude wooden walkways and tunnels within the rock linking them. At the bottom of the sinkhole, the clan has a place where they gather at night for meetings and religious meetings. This sinkhole is the main living place for Meullton Clan kin'toni and is where the clan is lead from.

Another place of note is mountain range that separates the Favar Chaparral from the regions that are east of it. This mountain range is called the Fanda Mountains and it was formed when two landmasses collided millions of years ago. The Fanda Mountains are around two thousand miles long and divide many regions. It is known that the mountain range has many caves that are home to many small zu'aan tribes and exiles from the Xerea Empire. The fertile and forested regions east of the Fanda Mountains are controlled by the Xerea Empire of Vatram. This is an group of around thirty zu'aan Cities.

Plants

The plants in this region are the adhas vatdre (fire flower). This plant grows up to 4 feet tall. It has deep green, sticky leaves that are an inch long and up to a centimeter broad and flowering stems that grow vertically. The flowers are tubular at the base and are long with five broad lobes; they occur in a variety of shades from white to red, the most common color being a light orange. It grows in many climates and will thrive in many types of soil, wet, dry, sandy, or rocky. It is used to make face paints by the Meullton kin'toni Clan, but are bitter and therefor not eaten.

Another plant is the cabren vada (broad tree). This plant grows around three feet tall, but has branches that grow to around nine feet long. The roots spead to around ten feed around and fifteen feet downwards into the ground. It has leaves that are dark red in color that are round in shape and broad. Its bark is dark grey-red in color and its wood is a dark shade of reddish brown. This plant has flowers that are dark red in color and have many small petals.It grows rather slowly. The plant's wood is used to build things like furnishings and walkways by the Meullton kin'toni Clan.

Another plant is called the gadh, this plant grows underground as large tubers that around around a foot in diameter. The plant's stalk grows to around a feet high and its roots grow to around three feet underground. The tuber is a deep purple, the stalk is light blue, the leaves are light green and the flowers aare very small and have deep blue large petals. It spreads by growing from roots underground. It takes around four weeks to grow a new plant from the roots and one plant can live up to five years. It grows in the more open parts of the Favar Chaparral. It is eaten as food by many animals, including kin'toni.

Another plant is called the bady haia (red berry). This plant grows as small bushes that grow up to five feet tall in places. It has light blue-grey leaves that are split at the tip and its trunks have rough grey bark. The bush has roots that go deep into the ground. The plant spreads its seeds inside the large, deep red berries that are sweet, those are eaten by animals and spreads that way. The seeds take around a week to germinate and around five years to grow to full size, The plant is able to live at lest ten years. The berries are eaten by as food by many animals, including kin'toni.

Animals

Animals of this region include the nada, an animal that has four limbs and skin that is leathery, strong and light green to green brown in color. It is around half a foot long and can weigh up to three pounds. It is noted to have large flat teeth and a very strong bite. It feeds on the tubers of the gadh plant and the berries of the bady haia plant. Males and females live in small groups of around five to ten. It lies between six and twelve eggs that take around 8 weeks to hatch. It takes around four years to reach sexual maturity. It is prey for larger animals such as the baidk and kin'toni.

The baidk is an animal that is around three feet tall and six feet long. It has thick fur that is light green in color, four limbs that are strong and allow it to run swiftly and a long tail for balancing. It has four eyes, two set to the sides of the head and two in front of the head. It has two eyes for catching prey and two for avoiding predators. The eyes on the front are larger then the ones on the sides. It has around six to nine young at a time by live birth and the young take a year to be able to care for themselves and three years to grow to full size. It is thought to be am ambush hunter.

The uydba is an animal that is around four feet tall and six feet long. It weighs around fifty pounds. It has fur that is light brown to greenish brown in color. Its limbs are long and strongly muscled. It has long, but blunt claws on its five toed feet. It is a flexible hunter, able to hunt alone for small prey or to hunt in small packs for larger prey. It has around three to six young at a time by live birth and the young take three years to be able to care for themselves and six years to grow to full size. It can live for up to nine years. It is hunted for its furs and its meat by kin'toni. Some kin'toni keep them as pets.

Another animal is the varu. This animal is around a foot tall with a three foot wing span. It is covered with brown dappled feathers, has three toed feet that are taloned and has a moth full of sharp pointed teeth. It is only awake during the daytime. It eats invertebrates, nada and berries. It lays eggs around three to six eggs that are around three inches tall and dappled brown in color. The eggs take around four weeks to hatch. The young take around four weeks to grow feathers, twelve weeks to be able to fly and sixteen weeks to be able to care for themselves. Its feathers is used as decorations by kin'toni.
