Geography

The beach meadows of the Ryvergar are found on the east coast of the continent and are commonly referred to as the bliss beaches, for their beauty and the life of the kin'toni that live here. After the kin'toni had gained the possession of the regions surrounding the bliss beaches. They decided to allocate the beaches as a pleasure of recreation and relaxation for the kin'toni that seemed to gave grown wary of the continuous war against the zu'aan.

Prior to the allocation of the bliss beaches as a vacation destination, it was a thriving port in the Xerea empire, in which ships as large as mountains moved around the continent hauling materials and people to an imporrsible degree. The current establishment of the kin’toni do believe that it should be possible to achieve the same feat but for the lack of being able to generate the power needed to move the giant ships. In the present day, the Rvergar beach meadows are a working port but the sailing vessels that visit the bliss beaches bring do not carry the blood stock/

But rather carry only goods of luxury and convenience as well as troops for war. The beaches are supplied with the required stocks through land, although it is a vacation home, the beaches are also a staging area for the armies of the kin'toni, when it is time for a kin'toni to begin the duration of their military service, they must first report to one of the one hundred staging areas allocated for the purpose around the continent. Although not the largest of the staging camps it is considered by many as the most popular.

The martial aspect of the bliss beaches is certainly evident but overpowered by the infrastructure built by the enterprising kin’toni seeking to cater to the needs of the partygoers. The beaches are described by many as a culinary wonder, here the most amazing innovations are being done with blood stock, and par hog’s blood here is found in nearly room of the beaches. Recently many places have begun experimenting with adding some zu'aan spices into their blood preparations, although this matter has been a topic of hot discussion across all of Terael .

The purists all seem to believe that adding anything that alters the taste of blood is a line of development that is markedly un kin'toni. On the other hand, many kin'toni that visit the city argue that the flavoured blood preparations are a sign of maturing of the kin'toni civilisation and way of life and movement away from it. The most popular of the preparations found in the bliss beaches is now famously called the kin'toni’s kiss, which is a combination of equal parts of Par Hog’s blood as well as coffee.

A substance from the time of the zu'aan that was known to induce alertness and wakefulness. The resulting substance has been remarked by many to be a complete change in perspective without causing ay of the kin'toni to loose control. The ocean has a moderating effect on the bliss beaches, allowing for a small temperature range that remains in place throughout the year. The effect is called the sea breeze effect, and has to be with the fact that the sea and land absorb heat differently, the land is much quicker to heat up and just as quick to loose the same.

But the water on the other hand is quite interesting, the high specific heat capacity of water is so high that it takes nearly triple o even quadruple, depending on the density of the water to be heated to the same temperature as the land and therefore when loosing heat it does so ever so slowly. As a result the land is warmer than the ocean during the day, which causes a cooling breeze to come in from the sea during the day towards the land, on the other hand during the night, a land breeze is generated, as the ocean is warmer than the land.

This back and forth wind system means that the temperatures in the region are well within toleration, and although it is sunny most days, the rainy season in particular sees a very dense cloud cover, allowing some kin'toni to even venture out during the day and see the daytime world that they rarely see. The bliss beaches are certainly full of beaches both pebble and sand, there are over 40 suitable beaches in the region, and most are perfect visions of white sands and azure waters. Many communities of the kin’toni have built permanent structures very close to the beaches themselves.

While most of the community prefer to construct their homes in the safety of the surrounding forest cover in order to ensure an extra layer of protection from the storms that sometimes rock the bliss beaches. These storms are rare in every season, but given the presence of the representatives of the central kin’toni authority, there is almost always a contingent of active serving members of the flying kin'toni, and as the histories have shown, it is possible to predict the storms, as such during the beginning of the summer seasons/

The flying kin'toni conduct almost daily sorties in order to ensure no storm systems are approaching the bliss beaches. These systems are commonly referred to as typhoons, and although not always very destructive in nature, it has proven to maintain a constant eye on their formation. The merchant guilds are especially grateful for this arrangement for the platforms that form one of the chief attractions of the region are particularly vulnerable to the typhoons, and with a little warning, they are able to vacate their platforms and bolt down their arrangements.

The experience of the first decade of the formation of the platform markets was horrendous, although there was little loss of life, commercial losses had been significant. The market guilds now aim to make life for themselves easier by ensuring that they cater especially well to the posted flying continent.

Plants

The plant life in the region is very robust, given the presence of plenty of moisture, sunlight and fertile soil, the plants of the region have little they feel that they require, growth of plants in quite robust and allows for small fields of millet crops to be grown in the region, these are used only for the purpose of feeding the small holdings of blood cows that are kept in the region, by no means are these the best stocks of the region, but due to incredibly large presence of the kin'toni in the region coupled with the fact that the army has a standing troop in the area.

The authorities prefer to maintain a large enough stock to ensure that any disruption in supply chain does not affect negatively upon the life in the bliss beaches. Besides the growth of crops, the bliss beaches see the presence of large mangrove forests and wooded forests further inland, these forests are an excellent cover in which kin'toni residences can be built in the safety away from the sun. The mangrove forests are incredible and form in the mouth of the Angraal, as the river makes its way through the continent and over the mountains it gathers large amounts of silt.

Which is deposited slowly at the place where the river meets the ocean, at this juncture and around other parts of the coast we see the presence of the mangrove forests although there are several species of the mangrove trees, the most prevalent in the bliss beaches is the Veiled tree whose roots grow up from the bottom to veil the trunk all around it. The mangrove forests of the bliss beaches are a relatively recent occurrence, at the time of the Zu’Aan empire there were but a small region of the copse of the trees, and many records indicate the worry some sections of the society had for the diminishing size of the Zu’Aan trees.

The kin'toni have pointed at this factoid as another example of how the zu'aan were an unfit species for the Terael land, they were in essentiality at odds with the nature of the world. The kin'toni on the other hand have a much closer connection the pulse of the land and their presence in the bliss beaches has meant the expansion of the mangrove forests. The mangrove trees are a remarkable species that do not affect require saline conditions in order to grow but rather grow despite the salinity of their surrounding environment.

They are therefore being taken further upstream and it is said that the Pioneer clans have approved the planting of the mangrove trees all across the river banks in order to create a canopy that would allow kin'toni movement even during the days, the projected costs for such a venture would be massive but it is certain that it would the created canopy would significantly alter how troops and cargo move across the land. As it stands, there aren’t any other significant plant species that differ significantly from the rest of the land vegetation found in other regions.

Animals

The animal populations in the bliss beaches fit the pleasant atmosphere of the region, the complex ecosystem revolves around the confluence of the sea, river and land. The beaches themselves are home to several kinds of crabs, the most popular of which is the varea-eka (robber crab), this species of crab is prevalent all across the land and found in plenty all over the coastline. The name originates from the curious lifestyle of the crustacean which like many other subspecies of the animal does not actually grow its own shell.

Instead it relies on stealing the shells of the animals that are found deported on the beaches, due to its incredible rate of growth, the robber crab changes its shells multiple times during its life, and its final size is largely dependent on the size of its shells. The robber crab is the primary food source of the gigantic tor-anreil (sand lizard) found in the region, comparable to the shere-lak *(crocodile-analog) of the inner rivers and lakes, this social lizard is of remarkable size, it is a docile species and is known to hunt some species of birds as well.

Given its heavy weight though, it tends to hunt only in the underbrush and on the beaches itself. The sand lizards are a good source of blood for those kin’toni that choose to hunt even in the bliss beaches, its blood is far less satisfying than the regionally kept cattle stock but is said to satiate the appetite for the hunt. The kin'toni of the region are encouraged to cull the hordes of the sand lizards regularly, over the millennia that have seen the occupation of the bliss beaches, the sand lizards have demonstrated a good increase in size and as such have become a better prey for the kin'toni.

Except for their caustic bite and saliva, the only challenge in hunting the Sand lizards is their speed, which although significant in comparison to the Zu’Aan but is positively little more than a stroll for the kin'toni. The last species of note in the region must be the malu-reka-arek (blood-drinker bat) species of the region, seen as mascots of the kin’toni themselves, the bats are encouraged and celebrated in the region. The platform markets create special shielded railings beneath their platform where thousands of malu-reka-arek congregate and sleep during the day.

The malu-reka-arek prey on the cattle kept in the region for blood stock, their numbers have increased significantly since the establishment of the ranches and it is a beautiful sight to see hundreds of them lift into the sky and fly in the most intricate of patterns. The flying kin'toni of the bliss beaches can sometimes be seen flying among the malu-reka-arek flocks, cavorting and almost dancing with the kin'toni bats, they seem to feel a special kinship with the animals and many of the more mystical rumours about the malu-reka-arek involve their ability to communicate simple messages with the flying kin'toni.

In recent years though some ranches have lodged complaints that the malu-reka-arek seem to be becoming more vicious in their prey of the cattle, and when in the past they would choose not to bleed the same animal more than once now they do not seem to hold back as such there is a growing consensus that a predator for the malu-reka-arek must be introduced in order to prevent too large a surge of the bats.
