The Peullton are adapted to the foggy, scrubby, dry E'zok Heathland. They are moderately sized, lean, and highly flexible of build, and adapted for crawling quickly through dense, prickly low vegetation. The downside of that is they lack raw striking power or vertical agility. The skin is dull grey green in color, and very dry with a fine, waxy coating for resistance to abrasive scratch injuries and acidic soil. The skin's waxy coating also aids in lowering fluid loss. The hair is stiff, short and sparse, covering both limbs and head.

These act as an highly sensitive tactile sensors for detecting ground vibrations through the low-growing scrub. This hair does not protect from the cold. Some of the hair near the temples are specialized sensory hairs for detecting minute differences in air density and moisture saturation. This allows them to navigate perfectly in thick fog or mist. The sense can be overwhelmed in strong winds. The eyes are amber in color, and have an highly evolved tapetum lucidum (reflective layer).

This allows them exceptional vision in dim twilight and heavy fog conditions. The downside of this is being prone to flash blindness. The ears are short and backwards pointing. These ears can can filter out high-frequency wind noise. This means they can focus on the movement of their prey, even though wind noise. The nostrils are small and low-set on the face. They have possessing fine-tuned chemoreceptors to allow them to track even faint scent trails on open, windy ground. They have an sense of smell adapted for rapidly assimilating and discardding scent data.

This allows them to identify and discard false or old trails over a wide area. The teeth are very fine and long, adapted for silent, deep penetration of small-to-medium sized prey. These fangs are easy to break if they are used on hard bone or exoskeletons. The claws are small, sharp and crescent shaped. These claws are for gripping roots and stems of scrub plants for grip, but are bad for climbing. These claws have sheaths of hardened cartilage that can be used to cover the claws to allow for them to put down their claws without noise.

The pelvis and shoulder joints are exceptionally flexible. This allows them to flatten their bodies to the ground for silent crawling, hidden by even low vegetation. They also have nerve endings in the hands and feet that are sensitive to subtle changes in ground temperature. These are used to find burrows, resting spots and track prey. They also have foot muscles that allow their toes to splay wide to allow them to purchase on exposed root systems and tangled ground cover. These feet are not adapted for sandy or soft surfaces.

The muscles are changed to be good at long, quiet periods of pursuit or stalking. They have exceptional endurance for low-impact movement, but these muscles do not have much explosive burst strength. They have an internal filtering system that is adapted to be resilient against the mild acids and secondary compounds such as those found in the local plants. This allows them to feed on local lifeforms without problems.
