History

“Words command swords” was the mantra behind Ild’ome kin'toni clan’s astronomical rise. They needed a strong ally to believe them, and who could play that role better than someone who is smart but bullied by the eldest and the most powerful pseudo-sibling. Ild’ome kin'toni was Estard kin'toni’s favourite follower, as the former helped the latter in articulating his messages for the masses and the counsel. But when it came to representing the Great Estard kin'toni, Ild’ome would not stand a chance against the likes of Iasul, Estangaugh, Ivoro or Enachia from the kin'toni clan.

What started as a gossip between two broken beings, became one of the most iconic partnerships in the history of the Estard kin'toni clan. Ight’turu kin'toni needed someone who could mentor him, help with what needs to be said when. He was smart enough to calculate the outcomes and ramifications of the right move but was creatively daft to think of the right solution, at least instinctively. And that is what Ild’ome kin'toni capitalised on. Ild’ome kin'toni was a master wordsmith.

He made sure that Ight’turu kin'toni knew the best move for the latter from an elaborate scheme but would always leave enough confusion and mysticism for there to not be any afterthought or retrospection of the actions taken. Ild’ome kin'toni introduced the concept of triangular faith to Ight’turu Kintoni. Ild’ome would have rigorous philosophical discussions with his mentee and would challenge the perception of faith and supernatural. He could plug in all kinds of references from the Estard kin'toni kingdom to put together an unjust and unfair picture behind the façade of harmony and prosperity.

Ild’ome kin'toni could also fictionalise the vices and vestiges dictating Estard kin'toni’s vicious hunger for power and would also validate it. Ild’ome kin'toni was a part-time preacher in the Estard kin'toni kingdom. He was supposed to worship key elements like fire, earth, water, air and ether for the balance of energy and harmony of the kingdom, but he did not believe in such a regressive and primitive approach. He would secretly discard the awestricken outlook people had towards religions and gods.

In what everyone says is mysticism of the unknown, Ild’ome kin'toni saw a tool to achieve and retain unfathomable powers. “The age of exile” was designed and facilitated by Ild’ome kin'toni, rather meticulously. He knew that it could easily take layers and layers of betrayals and doubts before a powerful kingdom like Estard kin'toni were to be broken down. And Ild’ome kin'toni was a patient and diligent being. He introduced the concept of cultivating more followers and grooming them to be equals to the initial 7 followers of Estard kin'toni.

The primary followers apart from Eld’ome were Iasul, Ight’turu, Estangaugh, Ivoro, Enachia and Elak kin'toni. The premise of this argument was that if the Estard kin'toni clan was to grow and prosper further, they would need more clans groomed if their surroundings were to deteriorate. He called it a need for diversification for the seven. In Estard’s kin'toni’s court all seven followers were asked to vote and this idea was passed with six in favour and one in against. Iasul kin'toni felt that the idea was not well thought through, as if this idea was really to mitigate adversity, why was it necessary to increase more stakeholders.

The rest of the followers, including the great Estard kin'toni, were hopeful about the future, and accepted the beautiful picture that Ild’ome painted over the apprehensions that Iasul kin'toni had for the proposition. Estard kin'toni, in his historic speech announced: “We understand that there are signs that resources are depleting and, perhaps, not everything is going to be all hunky-dory as things stand, but we can’t be reclusive and pessimistic in our approach. Life needs hope as a medicine to survive all odds and adversities that are naturally surrounding it.

We need to expand, as there might never be another chance to, if things were to deteriorate as one expects them to due to entropy. And entrepreneurial adventurism is the only antidote against entropy. We are diversifying, thanks to Ild’ome." This was the last move in a series of preparations that Ild’ome kin'toni had done with Ight’turu kin'toni who had been hoarding resources for this occasion. Ild’ome kin'toni lobbied to get Ight’turu to be treasurer, as he did not have experience in the battlefield.

Iasul kin'toni was not comfortable with this decision, as he was always a bit sceptical about the closeness that Ight’turu and Ild’ome shared, but they sought internal discussions to decide a course of action. As part of his roadmap, Ild’ome divided the forces in two teams with Elak and Enachia were deployed to scout northern and western sides of the kingdom and Ivoro and Estangaugh on the eastern and southern areas. Iasul kin'toni was kept out of scouting as they had not demonstrated the required intent.

Elak and Enachia kin'toni were the laziest of the seven pupils and were content with taking suggestions from Ight’turu on how to go about their expeditions. North-western area was the richest in terms of resources, so it helped Ight’turu gradually take control of those territories. Ivoro and Estangaugh kin'toni were earnest and hardworking and would see goodness and kindness in everyone. They were honourable and believed everyone was like them, at large. They were happy to work with limited resources of the south-eastern area of the Estard kin'toni Kingdom and believed that they could turn things around anytime.

Ild’ome kin'toni tried to groom them into believing his triangular ideology, but they quickly expanded and diversified, making the most of their trades with Ight’turu and capitalising on the scribblings of Ieni kin'toni Clan, to set up Ineper, Em’ess and Isskel kin'toni clans to complete the pentagonal structure of the five original elements. Elak and Enachia relied on Ight’turu for their growth and Ild’ome for the guidance, and never truly believed in themselves, and eventually got themselves and their expansions – Engocha and Elamyn – consumed by the vicious Ight’turu, Ild’ome and Ina’suli clans.

Biology

Their eyes have light green irises with black sclerae and a horizontal rectangular pupil. They had blue-green scales with red scales on chest and over arms and yellow scales on neck on their skin. On their heads was two curled back, brown horns. They were physically one of the weakest of all the clans, but just like ight’turu kin'toni clan, they were very smart. Ild'ome kin'toni clan was not capable to fight or confront anyone with anger and hence took a more neutral outlook for their survival. Their mental prowess was an outcome of their insecurity and inhibition.

It was as if they had to do something to compensate for their weak physiology, and this made them desperate. They felt insecure of their power and position due to the charismatic personalities of Iasul and Estangaugh kin'toni but could hide their despicable intentions with wit and humor, during the rule of Estard kin'toni. However, it was impossible for anyone to fathom how insecure they felt, and how progressively evil and vindictive those traumas made them.

One could empathise with their physiology and past, but their end was in a lot of ways, scripted by them, with the same passion that fuel their hatred for other clans. Their hatred was much deeper for the “zagarmatanis” as they could not understand how stillness could be blissful. They could not comprehend how a being could be free from desires and fears. And they did not believe that being peaceful can make someone powerful. The problem was with their insecurity with diversity, and at the same time their determination to make diversification a tool to counter and control everyone.

Culture

As a culture, Ild’ome kin'toni clan had a positive orientation, just like the Ight’turu kin'toni clan. They were welcoming of new ideas and refining the old ones. The only problem was perhaps their lack of faith in abundance, something that Estangaugh and Ivoro kin'toni clans were the best at. Conspiracy theories were encouraged and propagated till the assumptions they are based on are not thrashed down, and the potential goals that can be achieved through them do not have a proper roadmap.

There was no way to mitigate the genesis of doubt, but it could be negotiated with using the power of articulation, Ild’ome kin'toni clan believed. In order to understand anything, an event or experience, for the entire Ild’ome kin'toni clan, it is important to know what a situation/condition is not, within the relevant contexts available, and building on assumptions with clarity and distinctions between possible harms and benefits. An underlying sense of pragmatism, intricately overlayed with perennial cynicism, ruled over the cognitive faculties of the Ild’ome kin'toni’s clan.

This is irrespective of their age and experience. This kind of mindset helps them exercise restraint and measure the impact of their conversations within and outside their tribe. They had the smallest tribe from all kin'toni clan and were the only ones with a negative growth rate. They did not believe in procreation but in maximizing pleasure for a life form that is there, rather mistakenly.

Within the tribe:

An outsider would perceive Ild’ome kin'toni’s clan to be insensitive and inconsiderate with each other, from how far a member could go to pursue their arguments, which in most clans would be looked as crossing a proverbial line. They would get personal and violent with how they expressed their opinions and arguments, but what triggered them was never an evidence or a counter argument, it would be when the other party was losing attention or accepting that they were wrong all along the way.

And yet there not even a single member of the tribe had any kind of hesitance when the opportunity of expressing what was on their minds presented itself.

Without the tribe:

When alone, almost all members of Ild’ome kin'toni’s clan had a zen like personality. They would speak less and smile more in situations where a conflict was obvious, and metaphors made up for most of their speech. Splendidly, no one could shrug them off as pushovers, or as someone who is not bringing anything to the table. Their calmness sent chills down the spines of those who knew better, and this is what assured them to keep up with such a peculiar appearance.

Government

There were two kinds of power circles in the Ild’ome kin'toni clan. One was the core team of thinkers and preachers, and the others was that of the communicators or clan relation experts, who would act like messengers. They believed a messenger should be extremely credible and must never compromise their integrity. However, they could have ambitions, which are intricately linked to the person drafting messages for them. The preachers and thinkers spent most of their time worshipping, relaxing and musing with the wealth accumulated in the temples of triangular worldview in the Ight’turu kin'toni clan.

They would be carrying out the experiments on bloodroots and animals to manufacture life forms for ight’turu kin'toni clan and would also be creating newer models to predict future and take charge of more and more power. They were not particularly fond of “zagarmatanis” and termed them as hoaxes or frauds, and worst – pure savages. This meant the Ild'ome kin'toni clan was always looking for ways to sabotage them, and other Iasul and Estangaugh kin’toni clan members.

According to them, it was much easier to manipulate Iasul kin’toni clan as they had a strong sense of pride and could be agitated to make a wrong move. The Estangaugh kin'toni clan would just not react, as it was impossible to provoke them to do anything that could hamper the harmony of their surroundings. They would send numerous false messengers to Estangaugh kin'toni clan to create a rift between them, and ivoro or Iasul kin'toni clans, but somehow Estangaugh kin'toni clan would never pay much heed to any of those conversations or gossips, as they were always busy doing something productive.

Military

Philosophy:

To Ild’ome kin'toni clan, violence was a sign of weakness, and those who believed in exercising their strengths can be easily manipulated. According to them, the one who needs to fight can be killed by another person who thinks like that. So, they never cultivated an army of their own. But they did have complete control over the armies of Ight’turu kin'toni clan, and in time, commanded Elak, Enachia, Elamyn and Engocha kin'toni clans as well.

Absolute strength:

Zero. None. Zilch. In terms of absolute numbers from their own clan, there was no military. But since they were expert wordsmiths and storytellers, they could use information to destroy other clans.

Style:

One of the prime examples of their fighting style was how they created unrest between Elak and Enachia kin'toni clans, by claiming that due to limited resources and non-performance of the other, they had to cut back on privileges of the one they were addressing. This exact narrative worked against, as those clans were too lazy to even confirm and communicate with one another and had reached a point where they had to take everything that Ight’turu or Ild’dome kin’toni clans would tell them, on face value.

There would be some heated debates between Ight’turu and Ild’ome kin'toni clans regarding the number of solo hitters to be sacrificed in battles, the number of resources to be hoarded versus spent from their loots, and even name of the clandroids they were to cultivate to counter the rising popularity of Ieni kin'toni and his “zagarmatanis”. However, in the end, they would arrive at a reasonable number, negotiating their way through.

War strategies, and tactics:

One of the most stupendous examples of the war tactics deployed by Ild’ome Kintoni clan was when they almost uninhibitedly took charge of Ight’turu kin'toni clan’s group plunderers, commanded them to attack Enachia kin’toni clan disguised as members of Elak kin'toni clan. At the same time, they unleased a few solo hitters in the territories of Estangaugh kin'toni clan disguised as “zagarmatanis” of the newly created Ieni kin'toni clan. The first plan succeeded like a charm, and the Estangaugh kin'toni charged towards the Ieni kin'toni clan.

Unfortunately, for Ild’ome kin’toni, Ineper kin'toni clan was trading scribblings from Ieni kin'toni clan and could sense that the solo hitters who attacked the Estangaugh kin'toni clan were nothing like the Ieni kin'toni clan members.

Religion

Ild’ome kin'toni clan were the only ones who did not follow religions but created them for fun. During the Estard kin'toni clan’s reign Ild’ome would interpret, or rather misinterpret, the nuances of the pentagonal worldview according to their convenience and conspiracies. They convinced ight’turu kin'toni in believing the concept of triangular worldview and even created an entirely fictitious clan, Ina’suli kin'toni to cover their tracks and take new strides to establish the third coordinate of their triangular worldview.

Why twist and turn religions for fun? For power? Out of pure evil? Obscurity of spirituality?

None.

Ild’ome kin'toni believed that in order to make the world free from lunacy of religion, there needs to be newer ones, until there is a time when there is no need for one, as people would slowly lose their faith and attention in what the other person believe in and would focus exclusively on what they had to offer. One could argue that they had a noble end, but their means were vicious and deceitful. They did believe in the triangular worldview and even participated in rituals like identifying what could be common between two vastly different entities.

These exercises were helpful in making sure that there is enough attention and value allocated to the two people in question. The only problem was that the one picking the commonalities could rig the outcomes based on their biases and shortcomings. Also, Ild’ome kin'toni clan did not believe in active meditation like “zagarmatanis”. They argued, “What is not an act of mediation, what is, is entirely up to the person who is participating in this ridiculous ritual?”

As much as Ild’ome kin'toni clan were reasonably cogent in their argument, they did not consider that “Zagarmatanis” did believe in the exact same philosophy, all Ild’ome were doing was applying reductio-ad-absurdum to an argument, after agreeing to its premise. But the most fascinating bit about them was that “Zagarmatanis” respected Ild’ome kin'toni clan for their great words and wisdom, which left the latter unfathomably perplexed and enraged.

Miscellany

After splitting the Estard kin’toni clan into two parts and feeding contempt and hatred in the minds and hearts of Ight’turu, Elak and Enachia kin'toni clans successfully, Ild’ome kin'toni clan did believe that they have arrived at a brilliant model to rule over all these separated clans as a common voice. To neutralise the threat from Iasul kin'toni clan and their “zagarmatanis” they had cultivated Ina’suli kin'toni clan, and lobbied Estangaugh, Ivoro and their scouted clans to believe them as the clan for the future.

They could gauge that the scribblings from Ieni kin'toni could have strong ramifications against their propaganda, so they sullied solo hitters from Ight’turu’s military, on Estangaugh kin'toni territory, as “zagarmatanis” from Ieni kin'toni clan, who were there to take back the scribblings. It all seemed to go as per their plan, except their own idea came back to haunt them. Ineper kin'toni clan became the fastest moving traders with the rise of scribblings, as they believed in the principles of “zagarmatani” from their parent clan.

The Estangaugh kin'toni clan, and promoted that inventory for high profits between the central land of Iasul kin'toni, Isskel kin'toni in the south, and Elm’ess in the east. In this process, they had a more refined map of how the information was being exchanged between all clans, and who was manipulating them all, since the time of Estard kin'toni’s great kingdom. Ineper kin'toni Clan learned the art of lobbying from Ild’ome Kintoni clan and used it against them, by getting Iasul and Ieni with Estangaugh, Ivoro, Elm’ess and Esskel kin'toni clan.

They used Ieni kin'toni’s vision and “zagarmatani” strength to initiate the “non-violent war of awakening”, which left Ild’ome and Ight’turu kin’toni with an unprecedented zugzwang.
