Dahinbel Tribal Zu'aan
History
The people within the Belurnad Pillar Valley were a group who dedicated their lives to mining and were sent there to extract the many resources within it that would benefit other societies. One of the most interesting aspects of the region is the structure of its mountainous, hilly terrain since many of the formations would have a pillar-like shape to them, protruding out of the ground as if they were spikes on the back of a hedgehog. Within these structures, many beneficial metals were found, so many neighbouring nations chose to send their mining groups to explore them and extract these materials.
The first of these groups did not have much motivation other than getting their job done and then leaving, completing their shifts, and then waiting for their next task. As a result of this, civilisation took many years to form within the Belurnad Pillar Valley, and it began with one mining group who came and ended up meeting with a bunch of other mining groups, and since all of them had the same aim in mind they came together and collaborated, enjoying each other’s company since the region was so barren and empty, lacking much liveliness or vivacity.
After completing their work, they soon came to the conclusion that they all had great ideas, but due to the restrictions of their work they were unable to pursue them; hence, they came up with a solution – forming their own community. Whilst this caused the leaders of the mining groups to be fearful as well as supervisors (since it was their job to make sure that the miners did not overthrow the ruler of their region or commit strikes), these miners managed to come together and successfully make themselves the Dahinbel Mining Society, which was a composition of many miners and other more skilled people who wanted to start a new civilisation within the Belurnad Pillar Valley.
This was initially met with plenty of controversy and issues, and even conflicts due to many nations becoming very fearful of losing their access to the Belurnad Pillar Valley and hence working with allies to send troops to invade and try and claim back the region, but the Dahinbel Mining Society had prepared themselves with their own armed forces who had managed to get all their supplies sourced both from the resources found in the Belurnad Pillar Valley and the importation of goods by other nations, who had made agreements which meant that the Dahinbel Mining Society would give the nation an allowance of resources and in return receive beneficial goods.
Many skilled traders and merchants worked for the community so it was easy to do such trading. Eventually, the Dahinbel Mining Society became the Dahinbel Zu’aan Tribe due to its expansions, and eventually, it grew a very strong influence and noticeable presence in the subcontinent it was situated in Taerel. Establishing its own government, the Dahinbel people were able to negotiate with foreign states, and to this day it still remains powerful and mighty, as well as tactical by trading its raw materials cleverly.
Psychology
There was a sense of dreariness to the Belurnad Pillar Valley for most miners at first, since the beauty of the formations of the rocks was only temporary and after a few days of residing in the region they would become dull and almost repetitive due to the nature of them being scattered across the landscape, often consisting of gloomy shades of grey from the rocks of the mountains, with the occasional green from foliage and trees as well as grass.
To combat this, these miners would often share stories with each other or play games during their breaks or during the evenings, but in most cases, there was a monotonous, dreary silence since there was a mutual understanding that everyone just wanted to finish their expedition and then return home as soon as possible. However, there were also some interactions where mining groups from one nation could meet with a group from another, allowing for cultures to be shared and in some cases a more lively, less lacklustre atmosphere being created.
This collaboration was what led to the inspiration of the Dahinbel Mining Society, for many soon realised that there was potential for the Belurnad Pillar Valley if people came together to establish a civilisation. As a result of this, there was now motivation for many miners, who also felt that they could quit their jobs as miners for a nation and instead join the group and work with them to make the necessary advancements that would allow the region to expand and become its own nation. With people that were very determined, this goal was ultimately able to be achieved as an improved infrastructure was made within the Belurnad Pillar Valley.
However, despite such innovations many were against the idea and the group were opposed by many nations who chose to fight against this by sending their troops, which resulted in a few deaths of troops that the Dahinbel Mining Society had managed to obtain to fight threats, although there was plenty of mourning for these losses since many realise that without them the Dahinbel Zu’aan Tribe may not even exist. Despite all of this occurring, the Dahinbel Zu’aan Tribe now have an established government that can help to run the region and make sure that it is going in the right direction, which has caused the Dahinbel people to be more hopeful for their future.
Furthermore, the negotiations that the government has made with foreign nations means there is a sense of globalisation and interconnectedness, which ultimately means that the residents of the Belurnad Pillar Valley have to be more hospitable due to the fact that miners from many different lands in Taerel migrate to the region to aid the extraction efforts, benefitting all nations involved in the process.
Additionally, the region is livelier than it was before with more hustle and bustle, and the standard of living has severely improved with the Dahinbel people being extremely joyful and content, for they live great lives in comparison to the lacklustre, dull, gloomy lives of the first miners to extract resources in the Belurnad Pillar Valley.
Culture
Due to the Dahinbel Zu’aan Tribe being one that relates heavily to mining, it is not a common sight to find many places where the extraction of valuable metals found in the Belurnad Pillar Valley occurs: some of these metals include silver, iron, aluminium, gold and much more. Since they have access to such resources, trading is very common with many nations desiring to exchange goods if they could get an allowance of these precious materials, which is why the Dahinbel people have tried educating themselves in finance and economics to make the most profit.
In relation to education, the formation of the Dahinbel Mining Society which later expanded and became the Dahinbel Zu’aan Tribe placed a heavy emphasis on making sure that the miners were literate, and also offering many valuable opportunities which could enable those who thought they were destined to live a life of mining to be able to pursue other careers. For instance, many members of the population are geologists or geoscientists since there is so much to study about the topic within the Belurnad Pillar Valley, and those who are more artistic are able to display their talents through stone carving.
They could make impressive, stunning statues and objects out of stone – one of the most noticeable pieces of art is the giant statue of Adminos the Creator. Furthermore, the Dahinbel people are able to be quite wealthy and have plenty of gorgeous, luxurious jewellery due to their access to many gems and crystals, such as stunning sapphires, glowing topaz, shining aquamarine, beautiful quartz, amazing emeralds and much more. Combined with gold and silver, the creations produced are fascinating, and the clothing worn by the wealthier members are very expensive and costly, sometimes including pricy furs from foreign nations.
The architecture of the Dahinbel people is also noticeable and contrasts heavily with the settlements of the people of the past. Originally, the miners sent to the region for their shifts would often make campsites which served as temporary shelter within the Belurnad Pillar Valley – this would mostly consist of cheap tents that provided substantial protection against the elements, with other supplies that were necessary for survival such as food, drink, clothing and much more. Once done with their shift, these could be easily taken down and then room could be made for future miners that may come from other nations to have a place to set up their camps. This continued on for many years even when the Dahinbel Mining Society was formed, thought the creation of this community was what led to the progression that meant proper housing would be built as well as roads which made transport much easier and also made life much better and more convenient for inhabitants. Alongside these, many more buildings like shops, temples, museums and even statues and monuments were made out of the different kinds of stone in the Belurnad Pillar Valley, which could come in many shades such as the lighter tone of diorite to the darker shades of andesite and granite. Overall, the Dahinbel people have progressed heavily now and live much better lives than the miners who would temporarily reside in the region.
Government
At first, those who were within the Belurnad Pillar Valley would be groups of miners sent from foreign nations to do their shift and then leave, so there was not a formal government established in the region for a very long time. However, politics has always been a key part as shown by how many leaders would form alliances and work together due to the miners coming together and having an interest in each other’s cultures, which enabled a greater sense of interconnectedness and globalisation to occur. Therefore, whilst there was no formal government in the Belurnad Pillar Valley, the region still acted as a hub for people to come together.
The first form of leadership in the Belurnad Pillar Valley can be seen in the Dahinbel Mining Society, where the founders worked together to create the foundations of a new civilisation within the region alongside many miners and people of other professions who could be very beneficial. As a result of this, many rules and regulations were made which were supposed to be for the benefit of society, and those who did not follow them would be punished or banished from the Dahinbel Mining Society; this meant that they had managed to construct an organised, structured system which people could follow in order for progression to occur.
Additionally, the Dahinbel Mining Society started to grow in popularity, with many miners leaving their jobs and flocking to the Belurnad Pillar Valley in hopes of getting a new career and seeing some progression in their field of work since some of the miners were also interested in doing professions such as being geologists or geoscientists. By making many incentives for education, the government managed to make a lot of the population smarter and therefore capable of doing jobs that required more skills and qualifications – this would have been quite surprising to many neighbouring nations.
But for all of this to form and for the Dahinbel Zu’aan Tribe to be created in all its glory, many struggles were faced which leaders had to deal with, such as the fact many power-hungry, greedy nations did not want to let the tribe be identified as a formal tribe due to fears of losing access to the resources within the Belurnad Pillar Valley. In some cases, military forces were sent to invade which was a reason why the government were forced to push for more people to join the armed forces, especially since at one point in time the military was composed mostly of foreign troops sent in to help in the best interests of the nations they came from.
At the same time, however, the government were also cautious since they needed to make sure that had enough labourers to extract valuable resources for the nation’s use and trading. Despite going through all these struggles, the Dahinbel Zu’aan Tribe is one that is successful and thriving, coping with the circumstances it faces and slowly expanding as well as becoming known in not just the subcontinent the Belurnad Pillar Valley is found in but also in Taerel as a whole.
Military
The initial military presence within the Belurnad Pillar Valley is one that stemmed from some nations sending in personnel with their mining groups to make sure that they were doing their work and also preventing the possibility of strikes or uprisings since rebels could not hide amongst these groups with ease if there were troops present. These soldiers came from many nations but tended to mingle well with the armed forces of foreign lands due to a mutual understanding of life in the services, and on some occasions, many alliances could be formed as a result of such comradeship and camaraderie.
It was only when the Dahinbel Mining Society was formed when the region got its own proper native armed forces, for the founders had come to the realisation that it was only through having some troops that there would be a sense of security. At first, the group had to get on their feet so negotiated with other nations of Taerel to have their military aid if the workers within the Belurnad Pillar Valley traded some of the valuable, precious resources within the region. Whilst some were sceptical, this was a relatively popular idea which attracted many nations, and soon the region became a very safe and protected location.
Despite a few invasions, there were not many fears for the people since they were aware of the protection they had, and most of these attacks were easily defeated due to the immense strength of the troops and their large numbers.
However, there was then the time when the Dahinbel Mining Society desired to have its own troops, for some members of the government were cautious and fearful of the nature of the region’s armed forces – the forces depended on the armies of other foreign nations, who could potentially be weakened if other conflicts occurred within them.
As a result of this, there were many Dahinbel people who were trained in combat, particularly by the members of other nations. Whilst this was beneficial, an issue soon arose with the fact that many of the armed forces of different nations had different tactics and techniques, which was what led the later established government of the Dahinbel Zu’aan Tribe to make many reforms. For example, one of the most noticeable reforms was that the army was divided into different units, each of which was suitable for combat in certain biomes and terrain.
This in turn led to many uniforms being produced that would be reflective of the type of region a soldier was ideal for, and camouflage was made for all these different types of fighters. Yet, most of them have the same training for the basics and have equal access to the armouries but have different needs – the supplies that the Dahinbel people have are quite rich and substantial since they managed to trade for them as well as form alliances with other nations. To this day, the inhabitants of the Belurnad Pillar Valley remain well protected and dominant within Taerel with a strong military force.
Though they do face occasional conflicts, which can be common since a lot of military members are actually a part of the armed forces of other nations, so when these nations get into their own wars and battles the military of the Dahinbel people can suffer; despite these reduced numbers, the Dahinbel forces have shown their capabilities.
Religion
Since there was so much free time in the Belurnad Pillar Valley for the miners to spend, many would dedicate their lives to religion in hopes of progressing in life and finding better opportunities, as well as passing the long hours where there would be nothing to do during their shift; in many cases, faith was a coping mechanism for the miners to handle the tedious nature of their labour. Furthermore, prayer allowed the miners to have deep thoughts, and due to the occasional quiet nature of the Belurnad Pillar Valley when there was not the loud toiling and mining taking place, the region would be an ideal place to meditate and relax.
As well as contemplate topics that may have been floating around the mind. Due to this, these miners also managed to spread their faiths to other nations, since the miners of other foreign nations would meet them and then inevitably reach the discussion about beliefs; in some cases, priests would even be sent as well as preachers and pilgrims to help invite people who could become potential worshippers and believers. One of the most commonly worshipped deities were gods and goddesses who were believed to give good fortunes, such as Thulbris the Deliverer of Miracles, Dreara, Goddess of Luck, Dutune, Goddess of Oracles, and much more.
It was said that those who were pious would be able to reach such a state where they could communicate with these deities and then be able to request blessings, such as a better life or career rather than having to be a miner doing such strenuous work. On the other hand, there were those who believed that through offerings they would be able to achieve improvements in their lives, and hence it can be seen how many shrines were built where gifts could be left by the people in hopes of gaining a reward. For both of these types of believers, many temples were constructed out of the stone that could be found in the Belurnad Pillar Valley.
(in most cases remainders from the mining of useful metals) where the worshippers could congregate and celebrate festivals, as well as pray together – travellers could also use it as a prayer space if they needed to. Now the Dahinbel Zu’aan Tribe has a composition of many different faiths and communities, but the most widely accepted is one that worships a deity called Adminos the Creator, who they believe was the one that made Taerel and worked alongside other gods and goddesses to fill it with life and animals and plants and flora and fauna.
The reason for this is because of the fact that He had created a region such as the Belurnad Pillar Valley which is full of beneficial resources to use for the needs of the inhabitants of not just the region but many other parts of Taerel, and hence there is the belief that He should be commemorated and recognised for giving such blessings. As a result of this, there is a massive statue depicting Him within the Belurnad Pillar Valley which had been carved out and then adorned with valuable metals and beautiful, stunning, sparkly gems – it is also a pilgrimage site for many worshippers of Adminos the Creator.
