History

The first inhabitants of the Japer White Flowers Grove were a group of researchers and botanists, who had been sent by king Yefin Stepanov of Enta Rolling Hills to do more analysis of the area’s most notable feature – the Japer White Flowers. These flowers were very well-known and rare due to the fact that they could only be found in that region, and since the Stepanov royal family were quite avaricious they made an attempt to seal off the Japer White Flowers Grove from other nations. However, their focus on doing this was ultimately shifted when the royal family faced conflicts within the Ustves Golden Fall Grove.

Which would soon be home to the D'nyseng Tribal Zu'aan; this event resulted in the Japer White Flowers Grove being freed from the greedy grasp of the wealthy, and instead of becoming an excellent location for botanists and florists to come together. Additionally, those who were pleased could go to the Japer White Flowers Grove and be able to relax there, enjoying its tranquil, peaceful ambience and pleasant vibes; simply the smell of the flowers was enough to leave people entranced and in awe of such beauty.

As more and more people moved into the Japer White Flowers Grove, a small society was formed that went by the name of the Daold people, who chose to further study the nature of the plants within the Japer White Flowers Grove. For instance, they found out that the chemical composition of the Japer White Flowers meant that many processes could be done to it to make it into forms that would have different properties, ranging from being able to use its scent as perfume or even using certain parts of the plant it comes from in medicine when combined with other substances, such as by making patients feel numb (close enough to anaesthetics) or even serving as sedatives.

Upon finding this out, many doctors and scientists became interested and journeyed to the region simply just to aid in the research. On the other hand, there were also those who felt that there was something spiritual about the flowers, so those who were pious – especially pilgrims – would journey to the region in hopes of getting blessed by the plants. Overall, there was something about the Japer White Flowers Grove that brought people together and meant that they would come together in such a way that there was peace and harmony, and a lack of conflict.

To this day, the region is now a hub of people who reside there for many reasons, ranging from the purpose of the original inhabitants which was to do more research within it, to students that have an interest in expanding their knowledge about the nature of the resources found in the region, and also many pilgrims who pass the Japer White Flowers Grove in hopes of collecting a flower, which they would perceive to have holy properties. Either way, everyone is welcomed by the Daold people to the region as long as they do not cause harm or discord.

Psychology

Due to having a job to do, the first inhabitants of the Japer White Flowers Grove were people – particularly botanists and researchers – who would be determined to do well in their careers in hopes of getting a promotion; after all, there were not many who would desire to do a job relating to plants, so it was not that hard to reach a high level in the career. However, it can also be noted how not many would pay attention to this profession, for some even saw it ridiculous that some people would have such an interest in plants. Yet, some botanists were motivated by this rather than disheartened, and desired to prove these people wrong.

In fact, this group of people – called the Daold people – were successful in achieving this, for they displayed resilience against the armed forces of the Stepanov royal family and made attempts to show that everyone deserved access to the region. Whilst this could be argued to be the reason why the troops moved out of the Japer White Flowers Grove, the likely cause was the fact that there were conflicts occurring in other places like Ustves Golden Fall Grove; even then, this act of defiance may have been shocking yet impressive for many people.

The Daold people continued to inspire people through displaying how competent they were, such as by making it so that life was sustainable for them within the area as well as displaying how even people such as botanists could do such amazing things and form their own proper society – one that could compete with other nations. Additionally, the Daold people were able to show their inquisitive nature as many scientists started to show an interest in the Japer White Flowers and hence migrated into the region so that they could easily get samples and study the environment, looking for possible justifications for the plants’ peculiar, interesting properties.

Furthermore, the properties that the Japer White Flowers were another way that the botanists of the region could prove their importance since they were able to show how their career could be necessary in studying nature and how this knowledge could benefit people – for example, the fact that the flowers could have medicinal properties ranging from sedatives to anaesthetics depending on what processes were done to it. Overall, the Daold people are full of well-educated, knowledgeable individuals who likely come from science backgrounds, curious to learn more about the Japer White Flowers and truly understand how it could benefit the inhabitants of Taerel.

Resilience and fortitude are other traits that could be found in the Daold people since they have faced a few conflicts throughout their past. For instance, the botanists have had the struggle of proving their importance and had to remain very patient and resilient in order to allow themselves to reach the stage they are at now, where people find them very useful due to the work they do alongside scientists. Additionally, there have been a few occasions where wealthy individuals have tried to claim the Japer White Flowers Grove, so the Daold people have had to be resolute in their decision to keep the land to themselves and protect it from any invaders or greedy grasps.

Culture

During the beginning of its inhabitancy, the Japer White Flowers Grove was lacking in culture due to the fact that the botanists were only bringing in the traditions that they had followed in their lifetime, for they were the first formal residents of the area. Most of these people tended to be highly intellectual as well as hardworking – which in some cases could be a form of workaholism when taken to the extreme – so would have read a lot of books, particularly relating to biology and other sectors of it like botany, ecology and even medicine.

Additionally, their love of reading would also allow some of them to be very interested in literature, reading many stories and tales, as well as inspiring themselves with fiction. Due to the nature of their work meaning they would have to travel a lot, there was always plenty of time to pick up a book and have a good read, and since the Japer White Flowers Grove was such a soothing, peaceful place it was almost a heavenly location to relax and read for these people. Hence, it can be seen to this day how books are very important to the Daold people, who have also proven themselves to be talented authors.

In relation to their housing, the first settlers chose to live in tents since they were used to that style of living and also were not initially expecting to stay for long. Due to the nature of these tents being given to them by a monarch so that they could be used for expeditions, these tents would tend to be of good quality and withstand the elements very well, such as the occasional strong winds in the Japer White Flowers Grove. However, upon realising that they would likely stay in the region for much longer, they came to the conclusion that it would be best to make slightly better housing, which led to the highly improved shacks being constructed out of the wood within the region.

The researchers were very careful when they did this, trying to make sure that they would not cause severe impacts to the environment that may affect the results of their study. In order to provide food for themselves, the Daold people were forced to live off the flora and fauna of the Japer White Flowers Grove since they no longer had access to the resources that the monarch who had sent them would have provided. Due to this, it became common that these people who were scientists would need to adapt and therefore take on many other roles, such as hunters and cooks.

The skills that these required were quite vital for survival, and many invested their time into training themselves in stealth, dexterity and snare making so that they would be fit to hunt for food: some animals that could commonly be found and then cooked included hares, rabbits, deer, and a myriad of birds. Since there were plenty of birds in the region, eggs were consumed often as a source of protein and could be cooked in many different ways; the importance of eggs can be seen in the many dishes that the Daold people consume.

Government

The first inhabitants of the Japer White Flowers Grove were all botanists and researchers who were ruled by king Yefin Stepanov of Enta, so had to follow his orders and whatever he desired. Therefore, they did not have much say in how the region should be run and did not even plan to start the Daold people in the first place; originally, they simply desired to look at the most noticeable feature of the region and become more educated about it – the Japer White Flowers. Then king Yefin Stepanov of Enta faced conflicts within the Ustves Golden Fall Grove, which would soon be home to the D’nyseng clan.

And therefore the Japer White Flowers Grove was almost an empty place, but due to its beauty and interesting nature many botanists and florists felt that it would be best to stay within the area and do more work there, especially since people were starting to become more aware of the flowers’ properties; this led to the formation of the Daold people. The person who was arguably responsible for this was a man called Lashur Angarr, who came up with the idea that in order for the region to be able to be fully researched then there must be some form of leadership who would be present so that other monarchs or powerful, influential people could claim the area and prevent others from using it.

Whilst this likely would have caused a huge uproar for a large portion of those who were wealthy, ultimately all the botanists were in agreement and loved the idea since it would mean that they could finally form a large community of people who had the same skills and mindset as them. Additionally, Lashur Angarr managed to work out a way to reduce the possibility of a conflict forming by making it so that there were certain areas where those who pleased could get their allowance of Japer White Flowers, although these places were under heavy control by the Daold government to make sure that there was sustainability in the Japer White Flowers Grove.

To this day, this system has still been followed and has worked well, with the region also slowly becoming more open to the public and foreign nations since the Daold people had managed to grow more of its valuable plants at such a large scale that it would be unlikely that they could go extinct unless they were completely abandoned. Occasionally, there have been times when invaders have tried to claim more than their allowance out of greed, although none of them has ever been successful and has had to face the punishment of never being allowed into the Japer White Flowers Grove again unless reparations are paid.

Additionally, more money and resources have been invested in botanists across Taerel since their work in this region has shown their importance, particularly in the preservation of rare species of flowers such as the Japer White Flowers. Overall, the Japer White Flowers Grove is a region that is relatively self-centred in terms of governance, rarely making deals with foreign nations due to the fact that the Daold clan are self-sufficient since they do not have high demands and only require the basic necessities.

Military

Botanists and florists, as well as researchers, tend to be very peaceful people who could likely never cause a threat unless of course, they are skilled in using chemicals, which was in fact what the first inhabitants of the region were able to do. Whilst they never had a necessary reason to do so, these people were still skilled and could work out how to make poisons from certain plants or alternatively create medicines that could be used for many medical purposes instead, such as in sedatives or pain relief.

The first botanists within the Japer White Flowers Grove were able to realise that the Japer White Flowers could have many properties depending on what processes were done to them and also what part of the plant was used – for instance they were able to work out that it would be a good sedative and hence this could be very useful particularly for the military since those who were injured could easily relieve themselves of a large portion of the pain and agony. However, many of the residents of the Japer White Flowers Grove (who would likely be botanists) managed to go against the stereotype that those who had this type of profession were weak.

For they were able to observe from the military forces of king Yefin Stepanov of Enta the basics in combat, and hence when these troops migrated out of the region the newly formed Daold people were able to train themselves and formed their own small armed forces. These soldiers would often be well-equipped with knowledge on guerrilla warfare since it best suited the environment they were within; this would be one full of tall trees and plenty of leafy foliage, meaning stealth and camouflage would be optimal choices for attacks, as well as ambushes on enemies.

As for weaponry, many sharp tools that the botanists had could already be deadly enough, although the troops knew that this would not be enough and hence decided to trade with foreign nations to get their hands on basic weaponry, which would usually be knives and daggers as they could be concealed and easily carried around within the Japer White Flowers Grove. In relation to their armour, they would wear leather clothing with a very small minority of the soldiers also incorporating wood and sometimes metal plates for extra strength; all of them would be unified by the flower logo, however, which would represent the Japer White Flower.

Throughout its history, the Daold people have faced a few conflicts despite usually being peaceful, which usually stem down to the same reason of powerful figures desiring to claim the Japer White Flowers Grove for themselves. Despite most of these figures having impressive, potent, formidable armies, none of them has ever been successful in claiming the region since the Daold forces are extremely skilled in combat and know the whole region well, so it is easy for them to ambush enemies as well as prevent them from going deep into the land. To this day, the Daold people are still successful in keeping the Japer White Flowers Grove to themselves and protecting and preserving it.

Religion

Originally, the faith that could be found in the Japer White Flowers Grove was the religion followed by many botanists, who were worshippers of a few deities that related to their profession. One of these includes Nera, the Goddess of Nature, who was described as having long green hair the colour of moss and being shrouded in leafy clothing. She was also said to have glowing eyes that stared out across Taerel, making sure that all the flora and fauna was safe, and made sure that those who tried to preserve the beauty and magnificence of nature were rewarded – this included mostly florists and botanists.

There was also Bizma, Goddess of Blossoming, who many perceived to have been born in a lotus and then chose to provide life and prosperity to Taerel, in the same way that the flowers of plants would bloom with the right conditions. She was described as wearing full white clothing – a shade like milk – and also having bright pink hair like a lotus, which would be full of flowers of many vibrant, attractive colours: some of these tones include ablaze red, glowing orange, beaming pink, bright green, shining blue and intense purple, all producing feelings of optimism.

To worship these deities, many shrines would be made where offerings could be given and those who pleased could go and pray for growth and good fortune as well as health, and even ask for anything they desired in hopes of getting it if they were pious enough. The Japer White Flowers Grove was soon a region that became visited heavily by pilgrims however, for a reason that may seem unexpected - this was due to the Japer White Flowers. These blossoms were perceived to have some mystical property and seem like a blessing, for they were said to have healing abilities physically, mentally, and spiritually.

The reason why it could provide physical relief was due to the sedative nature which could also numb out pain within the body, and the mental aspect is the fact that it could free the mind and cause a comforting lightheadedness, particularly useful at combatting stress. However, the justification for the Japer White Flowers providing spiritual relief was due to the fact that they could allow the inhabitants of the region to reach a spiritual state that enabled them to communicate with deities if taken in a special form, which is why many pilgrims would collect samples to take home and use in times of need.

Within the Japer White Flowers Grove, there were specific people who had been given the role of consuming these flowers, and they were said to be the ones who could offer rulings that had been given by gods and goddesses. However, these people would need to be given the best conditions as it required peace of mind, and additionally, there was also a hangover effect which would cause severe drowsiness and exhaustion, especially when higher doses were taken. Overall, their beauty and properties were enough for people to believe that the Japer White Flowers were heavenly or had a godly nature to them.
