Swaynis highlands is a blissful region, with a history as deep and profound as those of the Jau Jungle Hills where the power of the Ashat nation resides. The highlands are ruled by the noble clan of the Fa'aka Kin'toni Clan warriors, the kin'toni of these lands are some of the most beautiful creatures in all of the Taerel. Their tall stature sets them apart even among the most well built kin'toni, characterised by their light green irises the Fa'aka kin'toni warriors are natural born commanders, they spend all their lives studying all the different disciplines associated with the successful condition of war.

They are warriors true but not the kind that weird the sword in the field, but the commanders that command thousands of warriors from a vantage point several miles away, theirs is the waging of war on Maos, and supply dumps. All kin'toni of the Fa'aka clan are carefully selected and passed through a rigorous set of tests before they are allowed to begin training and living with the Fa'aka clan. The Swaynis Highlands are not merely another region but the location of the prestigious military school of the Fa'aka clan.

Here those initiates that are found to be worthy of joining the Fa'aka order are sent to learn the many things that are needed to lead an army of the kin'toni. The Fa’aka academy was instituted when it became apparent that kin'toni wars was a necessity of the new world order and the effective waging of kin'toni wars was a complex subject and could not not be trusted to those who are uninitiated to the subject. Not all members of Fa'aka clan are those that were directly converted by the Fa'aka themselves but maybe kin'toni from other clans that decided they wished to aspire for something greater.

But wishing or aspiring towards a higher goal does not guarantee its achievement, that is true too for joining the ranks of the Fa'aka clan. The kin'toni that are turned directly by the Fa'aka clan are carefully selected and given the gift of the Fa'aka’s blood for conversion. As for those that are converted by other kin'toni but are able to pass the trials for selection and survey the whole decade of training, these kin'toni are given the privilege of calling themselves members of the Fa'aka clan.

This is not the case for the kin'toni that are turned directly by the blood of the Fa'aka’s blood, their lot is a lot harder, for they are not allowed to fail and those that refuse to succeed are put to the death, for such kin'toni there is no life out of the clan and no life that does not agree with the objectives of the whole clan. The make up the top leadership of the clan, ranks to which those not covered with Fa'aka blood can never rise to, these members spend five times the duration other kin'toni do learning at the academy.

Their fifty years of instruction are more arduous than fifty years of battle, for not only are the kin'toni made to fight every single day but are expected to learn and perfect the all the principles that guide the course of a kin'toni war.

Geography

The Swaynis highlands are olush pieces of land that are located far away from any body of water and tucked into the heartlands of the Taerel, they are surrounded by all kinds of terrain from all sides are bordered by all the important kin'toni nations of the Taerel. This distance from the bodies of water means that the regulating effect that water has on land in not present here in the Highlands, so the summers are boiling hot and the winters are cold, it rains all year round.

And although the range of temperature throughout the year is significant the weather is said to be the best weather or rather the weather most suitable with habitation of kin'toni kind. In addition to being pleasant the weather is also ideal for the growth of all kinds of agricultural corps, the area during the time of the zu'aan was able to have two distinct cropping seasons wherein crops suited to a particular were grown all across the land and these were then replaced by the crops that thrived in the winter.

The pleasant weather is characterised by the fact that the weather of the night is gentle and does not cause discomfort to the kin'toni year round, the lush vegetation of the region allows for the presence of several different prey bases in the region. The warrior kin'toni located in the region are expected to focus solely on learning the intricacies of the practice of war and forget about the outside world. Since the alignment of the Fa'aka kin'toni clan with the Adon Kingdom or rather being the central force driving the formation of the kingdom.

This political isolation no longer a possibility. As such the qualities listed above which made the Swaynis Highlands an ideal place for the congregation of kin'toni to learn war without worry, makes the academy and easy to invade territory with defence holes that are impossible to fill. As such since the founding of the Adon Kingdom, the Fa'aka have braved many invasions and raids from all directions, a development that th Fa'aka had certainly predicted.

The Adon warriors have used the geography of the region to their advantage, being led with the expert commanders of the Fa'aka clan, they have set up choke points across all borders by felling and causing landslides. These chokepoints have discouraged many an army commanders for they clearly demonstrate that their formation is not something theorised haphazardly but rather the product of centuries of deliberate planning and execution. Those trained at the Fa'aka academy are taught precepts of war,

The first of those that even a foot soldier in the kin'toni armies can recite is ‘Beware a prepared Fa'aka’. The existence of these checkpoints hints that the formation of the Adon Kingdom may be motivated by reasons of self-preservation by the warrior kin'toni clans against large kin'toni nations, but for the Fa'aka this may be the beginning of conquering the Taerel to claim the command of a united kin'toni host, something all kin'toni know that the academy aspires to achieve.

Plants

The plants found in the region are much like other plants found in the rest of the Taerel, but the biodiversity seen in the highlands is the greatest except that which is found in the rainforests of the Iturn dead swamp. While the rainforest in the swamp boasts of an impossibly rich biodiversity because of the presence of an abundance of water, sunlight and dead matter, that of the highlands is of a very different reason. The rich biodiversity found in the highlands is a consequence of a unique phenomenon called the edge effect, and is found only on the highlands in all of the Taerel.

The edge effect happens here because the highlands are the region where several dozen ecosystems meet and fragment, and this means that the animals and plants of all those regions are able to cross over to the highlands with relative ease, and since the highlands themselves are very fertile and have an abundance of both space and rain, these animals and plants are able to live and reproduce with ease. The edge effect is particularly prominent for the plants species rather than that of the animal species.

Over time the species that transfer from their separate ecosystem into the highlands they adapt and specialise and this gives rise to new species. So in terms of sheer number, the number of species in the highlands is more than the species present in any one ecosystem or region. This biodiversity is wealth, that the Fa'aka clan have found a way to work to their advantage, the kin'toni that live in the academy are fed the widest variety of blood stock.

And the academy claims that having a wide prey base is one of the reasons the commanders trained at the academy are cognitively more accomplished than the kin'toni that lived most of their lies relying on a singular kind of blood stock. The wider prey base is accompanied with regular feeding of the urkoth flower, that only the imitates are fed during the years of their training, while Fa'aka from other clans are not able to digest the urkoth flower and begin experiencing toxic effects of the plant within the first decade.

Wgich is the primary reason they are not housed at the academy for any longer than a decade. On the other hand the Fa'aka covered by blood to the clan are specially adapted to consume the urkoth flower but even for the Fa'aka themselves, this tolerance does not extend beyond half a century. The urkoth flower is a special plant that is found only in the highlands, although its ancestors have been trained to the rainforest of the Iturn dead swamp. The urkoth flower increases the ability of the kin'toni to store memories and allows them to relate well with their natural environment,

This lends them a sixth sense that has proven to be particularly effective in the command of wars. This sixth sense has been given a lot of different names by the people that have seen it in action, those that have seen the commanders work miraculous victories out of thin air have called it ‘god’s hand’ but among the initiates of the Fa’aka it is referred to as ‘nature’s warning’.

Animals

There are several animals that call the highlands their homes, they are widely hunted to satisfy the needs of the Kin’toni clan initiates at the martial academy of the Fa’aka who are asked to refrain from hunting themselves for that role has been ascribed to the offshoot Fa'aka clans that squire the Fa'aka kin'toni. The most interesting animal that is found here is the mral-kora, this large predator has a deep red fur the colour of blood and amber eyes that seem far too intelligent for any animal.

It is among the most formidable predators of the Taerel. Larger than the ice wolves found in the coniferous forest, it lives in a deep patriarchal social structure. Wherein a singular male leads a group of female mral-kora, the male is solely responsible for the feeding of his family and hunts near ceaselessly. Watching the animal hunt throughout the day is a favourite pass time for the students at the academy, and this is an activity that is encouraged by the master at the school who believe that the mral-kora shares a lot with kin'toni kind.

The ferocity of the animal in the hunt and the cunning it applies to ensure an amazing rate of success for its hunts is worthy of emulation, but due to the disastrous effect it has on the populations of the other animals in the wild, its numbers are strictly limited by the kin'toni that care for the academy and its region. The students are weekly given the blood of the mral-kora for consumption which as rich in iron as the blood of the kin'toni themselves, although not particularly palatable.

The students all drink eagerly for they understand that the consumption of the essence of an animal such as the macangus is a privilege not many kin'toni are allowed. There are other kinds of mral-kora found in other parts of the Taerel but the one found in the highlands is unique not only for its size and colouring but also by behavioural distinctions. The mral-kora in the other regions share the burden of the hunt equally and are polyamorous unlike those found in the Highlands.

The deep red colour of blood that hide is tinged with, marks a graduate of the academy of the Fa'aka kin'toni clan, it is bestowed on the graduate on the final day of instruction and is meant to mark the kin'toni out as a predator even among other predators. The hide is a sacred mark to most kin'toni warriors, and as a warrior bearing the hide traverses the fields, the men under his command are swollen with pride for they recognise that they are led by a commander that has earned his post and understands the struggles they face as soldiers of war.

The academy coat of arms are also composed of the symbol of the mral-kora head, a privilege not bestowed only other creature prior to the framing of the coat of arms of the academy, however once the academy adopted it, other nations and clans hoping to inspire the same awe followed suit.
