Geography

The Rothorm Rockland formation goes wild for several kilometres until finding its end on a marshy beach, which is believed to be similar to what Rothorm used to be. While surrounding the Rockland is a forest with trees similar to the ones found in Rothorm. By crossing this forest, it is possible to notice when the grounds start to change from soft muddy grass to harder pumice stone covered by moss. Once entering the place, it is possible to find an easy path to a clearing, made long ago, by the Saytai Kin'toni Clan, to attract wandering zu'aan.

After this clearing the Kin'toni city was built, with a large bridge crossing a natural, nowadays dry, pumice stone lake. This bridge leads to the first plaza in the Saytai city, being this one the famed place where the war-chief Kru'ff tends to pike heads and serve them for public presentations. This plaza normally leads to two other sections of the Saytai Kin'toni Clan, one used for housing and social life, and the military section used also for politics and worshipping.

The place for worshipping doesn't have a simple name, while the religion of the Saytai can be understandable by looking at their pantheon of gods, their religion is focused on power and victory, therefore sharing a place with their military field. They do tend to offer sacrifices to said gods, so it is possible to find an altar nearby the military field where the rituals happen. There is also, behind the housing, a place for slaves, as in their culture they tend to capture buy and sell members of other clans and tribes who lost battles for them.

While talking about hosing, it is common to find people of higher ranks living in better places, with recently constructed houses beautifully adorned. Their military field is composed of two main structures, one for practising and the second one for living, as many younger and newer members of the clan tend to stay there until they get married and find their own homes, while this doesn't happen, they tend to live amongst themselves in this compound. After the military field and the worshipping altar, it's possible to find several dried pumice stone pools, which can be used by the tribe as material.

These pools were once the home for several creatures and it is believed many settlers used said pools as their home, but nowadays the pools are abandoned by the kin'toni clan, although it is believed the pools can be used by the war chief as a death pit, which attracts a variety of animals.

Plants

While the flora of Rothorm used to be filled with a variety of plants, trees and the most curious greens, nowadays it's not the same. While it is possible to find trees and some plants, this includes aquatic species near the beach, they are rare and not very useful to the environment.

Some of those aquatic plants are;

Honte, a type of seaweed that grows within the pumice stones, it is believed this weed used to cover most part of the Rocklands, but retreated to near the beach once the swamp dried out.

Fistag, not as rare as the honte, this plant still covers several kilometres of pumice stones. It is believed this plant evolved from some ancient plant that adapted to be in the marsh, and then adapted to thrive in the Rockland. Commonly used by the clan members to be turned into fabric, this type of aquatic weed is very versatile and can even be used as food by zu'aan.

Ahible, actually a type of moss, this plant differentiates from the other weeds as it works as a soft blank atop the pumice stones, while it is common to find it growing within the fistag, it can be used by the clan members as some sort of decor.

Ocapi, known to be a poisonous plant, even for kin'toni, it is common for the members of the tribe to use this plant during battles, spreading it over their weapons. So, when the enemy is not badly wounded by the weapon, they will soon perish by the poison.

Unlamb, this type of seaweed grows near the beach as well, and it is commonly used by the tribe during their rituals, turned into a crown of weeds.

While talking about the types of trees commonly found in the region, it is believed several species used to be in Rothorm, but nowadays it is only possible to find knube and dionis.

Knube, a white, thin and tall tree, with strong wood, is used by the clan members in buildings, weaponry, and every basic need. As this type of tree grows fast and adapted itself to survive very well in the Rockland.

While the dionis tree provides a weaker type of wood, the tree is actually used by the clan for its leaves, as they tend to be enormous and the fibre can be used to produce fabric, for clothing, traps and more.

Tation, a type of bush commonly found in the really dry areas of Rothorm, near the limits of the land, this bush produces a type of big round berry, known to exist almost everywhere in the world, which attracts a lot of wandering zu'aan, for the promise of food.

Animals

The animals in Rothorm Rockland nowadays are scarce, if not, they are lizards, insects and other small creatures. While the place was an ocean, it was possible to find amazing aquatic biodiversity, this used to include creatures like the cubaso, a shark type of animal located at the top of the food chain of the area, or the cuvino, another type of fish, that used to migrate to other colder regions during summer, it is believed this fish was not extinct, instead, migrating to another region to survive. Also, the foveric, an aquatic mammal, was known to be used as food for several zu'aan tribes back in the days.

When the Rockland became a swamp, it was possible to find creatures like the konous, a huge reptile living inside and outside the waters, being in the food chain only under the ejund, huge a bird of prey, that can still be found in the biome sometimes, it feeds on huge creatures like the neston, another reptile, but this one can still be found near the beach in Rothorm Rockland, and even zu'aan or kin'toni. Talking about smaller creatures, like the anuati, this lizard-type of animal still can be found in the biome, living inside pools of pumice stone and crawling in holes.

It is believed the creature got the habit of the feeding of zu'aan and kin'toni, given the death pits made by the war-chief Kru'ff. Other creatures that can still be found in the biome are like the ourgen, a crab-like creature, commonly found by the beach that tends to go on land to feed on worms and insects. Like the gifeak, a small mosquito commonly found near the said death pits and the tumenan, the latter being a flying creature with huge wings that live in trees and feeds on trees' sap. The nerseti is another small creature, it can be confused by pebbles, as it tends to crawl around itself for protection.

Some birds that can be found in the region during some months of the year are; The afleci, a huge bird, known to fly alone and migrate to arid regions for nesting, while the nastin is smaller and can only be found in groups, the creature flies to Rothorm Rockland in order to mate and procriate. Used by the Saytai Kin'toni Tribe in several rituals is a bull type of animal, called obnod, this creature was actually brought by the clan when they first settled in the land, acting as a cattle situation, where the clan breeds the animal solely for sacrifices, considered to be sacred by the Saytai.

They often do sacrifice other animals they can find, as the forest around Rothorm is home to more differentiated wildlife, this includes creatures like the oxapli, a huge furry four-footed mammal and the amycif, a small, two-footed and very fast creature.
