Geography

Located in a bay, the Soskel Black Beach is surrounded by mountains and woods, being a descent into the ocean level. While on the beach, it is possible to find, amidst the obsidian sand, pumice stone natural pools, being a beautiful work of nature where the aquatic wildlife thrives. When the ocean rises to the point of covering said pools, it leaves behind a variety of creatures. When the tides rise, the crashing waves tend to close a lot of entrances to the cave systems, but the main entrance used by the Awltan Kin'toni Clan can be found in a place where the water doesn't invade.

Although to find this entrance it is necessary to know the place, as it is well hidden and only used by the Kin'toni Clan members. To enter the beach it's necessary to cross a very hard and dangerous path through the hills, arriving at first at a rock formation called "flowing waters" this rock formation has two openings, working for the beach as a portal of some sort. Once the "flowing waters" is crossed, this includes walking a long time inside this part of the cave system, it is possible to reach the first part of the beach.

This first part can be explained by the calming waters, smooth sand and a mangrove. With a marvellous view of several rock formations. Which, one of those is called "fallew", meaning descent, in the Awltan Kin'toni Clan language. The fallew is, finally, the rock formation with the opening for the cave system used by the clan. At first, this opening may seem dangerous and dark, which is, if the adventurer is not kin'toni. By entering the cave, it is possible to find several confusing paths, almost like a maze, this was made by the clan members to confuse invaders and protect their castle.

Carved into the stone inside the caves, their castle is a complex architectural project that is always expanding. Using woods from the nearby forest as beautiful decorations, the clan thrives inside the castle. The first level of the castle is used as a commonplace for social life, where the members can share stories and make good use of their culture and politics. As is common with the Awltan Kin'toni Tribe, they tend to have several meetings, their government is based on democracy, freedom, therefore it's very important for them this aspect of their castle, an open space, where everyone can sit around and be heard by the others.

The second level of the castle is used for housing, as Kin'toni, the tribe tends to avoid the sun. They do enjoy leaving the cave system and the beach, so during the day, they spend time in their houses. Each house is unique, as the clan believed in the creativity of working with their own hands using the materials given to them by nature.

Plants

Located on the Soskel Black Beach it is possible to find several types of vegetation, this includes aquatic and terrestrial. Commonly found in the cave systems, there are plants like the wikeri, known to be a glowing type of berry, normally not eaten by the clan, but used as a light source sometimes. The mutoti, a type of algae that can be found only inside natural pools in the cave system, this plant is used by the clan members as a source of fibres to produce fabric, the same with the presto, but this one grows outside natural pools and can be found everywhere in the beach.

The Awltan Kin'toni Clan actually has a system for the harvest of the presto plant, considering it's very important for their day to day life, they tend to be careful when harvesting it so the plant doesn't go extinct. The clan even created a new type of crop making, so it would be possible to plant and harvest the presto in their own time, planting the algae in what they call an "algae farm" inside the caves. The biodiversity of the Soskel Black Beach tends to thrive in the mangrove of the beach and in the coral reef.

In the mangrove, it is common to find a type of tree called idymel. The idymel tends to grow over fifty meters, with exposed roots and being the home for several creatures living in the mangrove.

Commonly found in the coral reef are colourful algae like the plasil, with red colouring. The hucion and the lysito, both with a shade of black, it is believed the colouring of both these algae is given the volcanic activity near the beach. Also filled with stony coral, the Soskel Black Beach Coral Reef used to be called by zu'aan tribes "The black islands", given their dark colour. Other plants found on the beach are;

Facrav, known to be a bush type of plant, produces green berries that can be used as a food source, it normally grows in the woods and hills around the beach, but with time the facrav started to grow and adapt to the sandy grounds of Soskel. Fizolo, a type of palm tree found on the beach, it is believed this tree was there when Soskel was a marsh. This palm tree tends to be used by the clan members as a source of wood. Another source of wood by the clan members is the joonyn tree, although it may be seen as if this tree does not belong in the biome, it thrives with a white coloured wood, commonly used by the clan members for its beautiful colouring and strong malleable wood.

Animals

As the native animals from the beach came back to their rightful place after the zu'aan abandoned the place and the Awltan Kin'toni Clan tends to not unbalance the natural life, the wild creatures in the Soskel Black Beach are present in huge amounts. Starting by the beach itself, it is possible to find several crustaceans, like the udorbi and the hooplo, both huge creatures with claws for paws, they are both terrestrial and aquatic, feeding on fish and algae. Other creatures like the gagina, a type of frog known to be used in saltwater, are commonly found in the rock formations on the beach.

Or the dozone, similar to the gagina, this creature can be found in rock formations, with a body similar to a snake with claws, this slimy creature tends to weigh around 40kg and feeds on crustaceans. The willen creature, weighing around 500kg, tends to live solely underwater. What happens to this creature after its death is commonly called "willen fall". This event has been analysed for millennia. Once a willen dies, its body becomes lighter and it tends to be pushed to the shores of the beach. The body will attract several other wildlife, this includes even small insects and even smaller bacteria.

The body tends to last for several years, almost decades, working as a live biome. At first, it will attract birds and crustaceans to do the bigger work on the meats, almost leaving solely the bones of the animal. Later on, it is possible to notice smaller crustaceans feeding on the marrow of the willen. As it's obvious the other animals living in this specific creature's body, they will leave behind excretions, including bacteria who will keep their work in the body. This includes the bacteria that were already living in the willen body of course.

With time the willen body will completely disappear and the event will end. This is one of the most curious natural events to be seen, it is believed this happens because of the size of the willen, being one of the biggest creatures in the world. There are several tales about the willen around the world, as Soskel Black Beach used to be a point of tourism for zu'aan before the kin'toni outbreaks, stories about the willen have been shared and heard all around the world. Some creatures attracted by the willen body are like the padera.

A curious aquatic and terrestrial creature commonly found in the shores of the beach normally, but it is one of the first creatures to use the willen body. With the padera it is possible to find birds like the etnese, known to fly in small groups, the etnese are the biggest responsible for the fas disappearance of the meat parts of the willen. The etnese are not exactly native from Soskel Black Beack, but it is believed the birds are native from a biome very close, as they always can be found on the beach near willen bodies, but solely in this case.
