Geography
The Rysas Emerald Cliffs are a set of several cliffs connected by natural and man-made bridges. They all find their end on the ground floor of the Rysas, where a river runs, nowadays the river is thin during most of the seasons, but at the start of the year when it is possible to find some bigger levels of water. Many years ago, when the Fyroom Empire was still standing strong, the river would fill most of the grounds of the Rysas, but climate changes and the passing of years made the spring dry.
This made the several emerald deposits on the cliffs easier to mine, resulting in the construction of emerald mines. It is also possible to find these mine systems running all over the underground of the cliffs, almost like ant-hills. For the emerald castle of the Fyromm Empire, it can be located on one of the smaller cliffs of the biome. The villa is built to be a circular formation, with the main plaza located in the heart of it, open streets filled with, now destroyed, queued houses and places for social life.
As the Kimetdar Kin'toni Clan made their home in the Rysas Emeral Cliffs, they changed and renovated a lot of the aspects of the villa, using materials from the biome alongside with constructions following the mine systems. For the undergrounds of the region, it is possible to understand by looking directly at the walls of the cliffs, showing a perfect cut of the earth. The first layer of the cliffs is smooth dirty, good for crops and for the flora of the region, followed by a stronger and more stern type of dirty, where several plants have their roots.
It is in this layer where it is possible to find the first emerald deposits, as the ones with more veins are located deeper in the underground. It is believed the river running at the bottom of the cliffs was once underground water, and somehow when the land was shattered and the cliffs created, the water survived, becoming a river open to the skies. To be able to enter the Fyromm Villa, it is necessary to locate it on the land. The Rysas Emerald Cliffs are hidden behind tall mountains. After crossing these mountains it is possible to find a valley, where the villa is located, but after this valley is the real cliffs, a tear on the ground, completely separating one land in two.
These tears reach two hundred meters wide, making so the "mouth" of the cliffs, as it is possible to see the land on the other side. In reality, the Rysas is only this part of the land, not counting the other side, as the other part is believed to be an unclaimed land filled with wild forests.
Plants
Most of the plants located in the Rysas Emerald Cliffs have been used by the Fyromm Empire for one or other reason and have been catalogued in history. Some of them are even used nowadays by the Kimetdar Kin'toni Clan.
Bovita; A creeping plant, known to be easily found all around the world in mild climates, it can be overlooked as a simple type of grass, but for the Fyromm Empire, this plant had a very important role to play. The bovita was used as food for the creatures they kept as cattle, but most importantly, the creatures fed with the bovita were considered to be the better creatures, as for example, the meat of an animal created with the bovita was expensive and something to be eaten only during special occasions.
Feader; One of the several types of trees to be found around the region, but with one special aspect to it. The feader tree grows not on the ground of the biome, but clinging onto the walls of the cliff. It is believed his plant used to be some sort of underground bush, but with time it mutated to be stronger. The wood of the feader is used nowadays by the kin'toni clan in weaponry making, as it is small but produces a strong wood.
Cirdan; This plant was one of the most common items eaten by the Fyromm Empire people back in the day. The vegetable could be smartly used, as the leaves were used for clothing, the stalk and the roots for eating, and the flowers, if they came to blossom, were used to create a medicine called "cici", used to prevent diseases like allergies.
Eation; Actually avoided by the Fyromm but appreciated by the kin'toni, this poisonous plant has a deep spicy taste, enough to bring an adult man to the verge of tears. As it is catalogued in history, the Fyromm Empire avoided the plant because of the taste. But, as part of the Kimetdar Kin'toni Clan culture, the plant is highly appreciated. No one can be sure if the kin'toni has less sensitivity to the type of spice the plant produces or if it is a simple matter of evolution, but the clan does enjoy boiling the plant in water and drinking it as a hot beverage. It doesn't work as a source of nutrition as blood would, but it is for sure appreciated.
Sifore; Another type of tree found in the region, commonly growing on the ground, differently from the feader, the sifore is a fruit tree, which was highly appreciated by the Fyromm Empire. The fruit is supposed to taste very sweet, as the empire used to harvest the fruit, leave it to dry under the sun, smash it into a powder, mix it with animal blood or milk and leave it to ferment for weeks. Once the fermentation was over, the people would share this gooey-like food around, eating it in bowls with spoons.
The wood of the sifore was used by the Fyromm Empire in construction, the same way it is used nowadays by the Kimetdar Kin'toni Clan.
The last plant to be spoken of in the Rysas Emeral Cliffs is the flasse. This plant has no use for the Kimetdar Kin'toni Clan, but for the Fyromm empire, the flasse was a sign of riches, to use a crown of the leaves of the flasse was to show people the true high members of society.
Animals
Similar to the plants located in the Rysas Emerald Cliffs, the animals located in the region have had several uses for the Fyromm Empire and nowadays have several usages for the Kimetdar Kin'toni Clan. One specific reason as to why the clan found themselves to enjoy the region is the presence of the hackep.
The hackep creature is a 400 kilos four-footed furry mammal, known to be native only to this region. As the clan says, the blood of the animal can be as good, if not even better, than zu'aan blood. Its thick pelt and warm fur can be used for clothing and home improvements. The leather is also used by the clan for weaponry.
Suante; A creature known to be feared by the Fyromm Empire and adored by the Kimetdar Kin'toni Clan. As to why the empire feared them, the suantes are small four-footed animals, covered in feathers and highly violent. They would attack children and destroy crops. Since this is not a problem for the kin'toni, they found themselves to be very fond of the creatures, by creating a game around the suantes, pitching one against the other and betting on the results of the fight.
Adocte; This two-footed hoping mammal weighs around 500 kilos, being as tall as four meters, with a long tail and dark fur. The creature is one of the only animals known to be found at the bottom of the cliffs, as many of the others tend to nest and live at the top.
For the Fyromm Empire, the womati is believed to be sacred. This animal lives in the trees and mine systems, a small flying creature with leathery white skin and tiny sharp claws. A tradition for the empire was to keep them almost as pets, they did not keep them in cages but free around the villa. The people would put food for the animals, name them and live peacefully with the womati.
The kassit is a curious creature normally dwelling at the bottom of the Rysas. This creature from afar looks like a huge lizard, with a scaly body, taking the colour of the biome, in shades of green and earthly brown. In reality, the four-footed creature is a mammal, with horns sticking upon its head. The Fyromm Empire used to eat said creatures, as back in their days, the creature used to dwell not at the bottom, but the top of the cliffs. The horns were used for decoration and sometimes as weapons, something the Kimetdar Kin'toni Clan adhered to themselves.
One legend from the Fyromm Empire revolving around one of the creatures found in the land talks about the uinebu. The uinebu is a flying insect, bigger than most of the mosquitoes located in the region, but smaller than the other creatures. This animal used to be in the shades of green, like the emeralds located in the region. For its marvellous colouring and its flying aspects, the people in the Fyromm Empire started calling them "emerald fairies", creating legends and stories for children about the green fairies coming to realize their wishes. Another aspect of the creature is the fact it shines in the dark, making the view of the uinebu flying against the dark sky look like magic.
