Geography

These tubes are generally made of igneous rocks extending to an enormous length of several miles. The longest tube is Jakyla harta tube which is 5 miles long with countless extensions seeping into various parts of the tube system. The tubes are generally a system of caves with openings as large as 5 meters and the tube region extends for 0.5 miles at the opening. The opening is shrouded with a 10-mile long mountain range which separates it from the great plains of Terael .

The tubes pass under the great volcanic mountain Kiriza, which is known to have exploded 4 million years ago. The explosion shaped flora and fauna in and around the tubes. Kiriza's top has a mile-long crater covered with 20 meters thick igneous rock layer formed by cooling magma. This crater supports no life but is sometimes used by brave kin'toni warriors to train their new recruits. The top cap of the crater has thousands of holes that flush out violent gushes of gases at regular intervals.

These gases are known to be toxic and kill anyone within minutes that breathes in these gases. The tubes in the middle region are lined with strange green crystals that illuminate during the night. This region is used by the inhabitant kin'toni to perform their ceremonial rituals and considered sacred by many. The kin'toni of the Rhousk Kin'toni Clan feel a weird attraction to these rocks and would give up on even their hunt when these stones are present nearby. These are used by the brave zu'aan to defend them in the worst situations.

These stones are usually supplied to the Terael by the brave zu'aan clan that resides in these tubes. This clan is called the Tereik Tribe. The tubes are mostly charcoal black from inside but sometimes are known to glow in the presence of strong radioactive substances. The rocks that line these tubes are porous allow the fresh air from outside to seep in. There are 4 tubes inside Jakyla that are filled with water and 7 tubes that are lined with magma. There are several water pools inside which allow the creatures inside to hydrate themselves.

The roofs generally have spikey rocks that fall during minor earthquakes and kill the unsuspecting victims under. The extremities of these tubes are open from both sides and lined with ice to at least a quarter of a mile. The insides are warm and hospitable to the creatures inside. There are a total of three thousand different tubes inside Jakyla and each tube has a special characteristic to it. kin'toni living here are ferocious hunters and their numbers inside have been gradually increasing due to the favorable climate inside.

The temperature inside gets as warm as 20 degrees contradictory to the -30 degrees outside. It is known that the greedy zu'aan Emperor Erolan Tara mined these tubes for the precious green crystals that once covered the entirety of the tubes. These crystals were used in the strange lab equipment of zu'aan laboratories which were known to have caused the virus outbreak.

Plants

There are virtually no plants in these tubes but the moist and warm climate of Jakyla tubes has harbored a variety of mushrooms that provide food to a number of small tube animals. The shrooms that grow here are listed below.

Kalls: These are yellow mushrooms that grow on the lower walls of Jakyla. These are nonpoisonous and mainly used by the kin'toni as a coloring agent to write or paint the walls of the tubes. These are rich bright yellow in color and are frequently used by the kin'toni. These shrooms are the most prominent fungi found inside the tubes.

Jorken: Jorkens are a variety of slightly toxic shrooms that grow on the upper walls of the tubes and are generally used as a food source for Batlike creatures known as koryts hanging down the wall of the tubes. They also serve medicinal values for kin'toni as they contain a certain enzyme that heals the cells of kin'toni these enzymes were used in the labs by the scientists of zu'aan in their virology study.

Krusters: These are brown shrooms that grow on the roof of the tubes which are rich in copper. These tubes are lined with copper which forms an alloy with tin. This material is used by kin'toni to make hunting weapons. Krusters usually serve as a catalyst in the alloy production.

Pytillia: It is kind of shrub found near the mouth of the tubes. Slightly green and slightly yellow in color these don't serve much purpose. These are basically weeds that grow at numerous places on Terael .

lispor Is a kind of mold that is found at some locations inside the tube where moisture is dominant. This mold feeds on the ores inside the walls of the tubes of Jakyla and secretes a peculiar substance believed to be antiseptic by the zu'aan.

Overall it can be said the Jakyla tubes do not support much flora or fauna but they serve their purpose well as a hiding place or safehouse for kin'toni clans. Since plants here are mostly shrooms the level of breathable air inside is low. Hence the zu'aan can not stay for long inside the tubes. kin'toni on the other hand are indifferently comforted by the enclosure of these caves.

Animals

The Jakyla lava tubes are home to the most peculiar animals in this area of Terael . Roaches, rodents, creepers, fliers, runners, and screamers. There are countless kinds of life forms that these mysterious tubes support out of which only a few are known. The rest hide inside the dark and complex mazes of the Jakyla Lava tubes. The various life forms of Jakyla tubes are given below.

Koryts: These are the most prominent creatures of the Jakyla tubes that like hanging on the roofs of the charcoal black tubes. They generally feed on Jorken and like to stay indoors during the day. They fly out in the freezing night to hunt for other nocturnal animals that dare step out in the deadly nights of the doomed planet known as Terael .

Pikas: Pikas are rodents of the tubes that mostly feed on the scraps of food left by the residing kin'toni warriors. They have four feet and a raccoon-like tail that keeps their balance while they parkour on the walls of Jakyla tubes. Pikas make a screeching noise at the sight of the danger to alert others. They usually hide into small burrows in the walls of the caves and rely on water fountains inside for hydration. They have bright yellow fur all over their bodies lined with purple stripes running in the center of their bodies all through their belly and nose.

Kal'toras: these are the kind of deadliest snakes that live in the hearts of Jakyla tubes. Their body is lined with brown bristles running backward and filled with poison. They do not have fangs but instead wrap their bodies around their prey to poke them with the poisonous bristles and kill them instantly. A sticky substance continuously oozes out as they creep on the walls of Jakyla and sets a trap for the helpless Pikas that end up stepping on the sticky glue. Their attempts to escape send down vibrations along with the glue and alerts Kal'toras who move back swiftly along their own track. Once they reach their prey, they release the poison through their bristles and then gulp them entirely like snakes.

Gikals: Gikals are known to be equipped with the best camouflage in the region and usually behave as parasites on the bodies of Kal'toras. They are leech-like creatures that are almost invisible due to the charcoal black color of their skin which can freely change color based on the color of the surface they are sticking to. They usually keep lying dormant on the surface hibernating until an unfortunate Kal'tora passes over them. On the sensation of a Kal'tora passing over them, they latch out small tentacles from their surface, sticking to the soft exposed belly of Kal'tora.

Once stuck they stick a needle lined with a tranquilizing substance inside their prey's body and keep draining their nutritious blood until the creature finally becomes too weak to feed and dies of starvation. kin'toni like to collect them and keep them close as they tend to control the Kal'toras which otherwise becomes very problematic for them.

Life in Jakylla tubes is definitely not as bright as the life outside but it does have its moments of awe every now and then.
