==Geography==

Many structures exist in Wlaic Old Taiga due to the massively long history it has had. The natural geography is quite stunning, but it pales in comparison to the geographical landmarks that have been created by the people that have lived there for ages. In the Wlaic Old Taiga, a plethora of trees exist. These trees appear to have a mind of their own. They give off such a tranquil vibe to the land. They tower overhead and are the sole creators of the peaceful atmosphere that exists in Wlaic. The trees that make up Wlaic Old Taiga draw people in, and the people and culture keep them.

Besides the grand trees that are the entirety of Wlaic Old Taiga, the other major geographical feature that is tree-related in Wlaic is the tree borders that separate Wlaic Old Taiga from the neighboring nations. These tree borders are distinct to prevent any confusion. The area of the border is a little empty to really show the tree border and distinguish the various areas. They ensure that there is no confusion between the borders. In addition to that, the trees that make up the border are a larger species of tree to really drive the point of the borders home.

Another tree-related geographical feature that is a part of the intricate culture of Wlaic is wood carvings. Carving the many different types of wood in that can be found in the forest is a long-standing tradition for the Umjita people. Some carvings can be found carved into trees that still grow, as a form of beautification. Not that the forest needs it. When trees die and fall, or extra tree is leftover after building homes for the Umjita people, they are utilized for tree carvings. Some carvings are small and others are large statues. The tree carvings are a pinnacle in Umjita culture.

A geographical feature that is also manmade is the roads that connect all the regions together. The roads are advanced for the time as they are large and well established. They are wide and in most areas are just dirt roads. In areas closer to the more populated areas of Wlaic, the roads are paved with stone. The Umjita people have had plenty of time to well-establish these roads as they have lived in the region for a long time. Other geographical features that can be found in Wlaic Old Taiga are the animal habitats. Animals are a big part of the culture, despite not being people.

They are a part of the conservation that goes on in Wlaic. Some habitats exist in the trees, others can be found in various caves that litter the land all over. Animals dominate the land because the Umjita people do not want to ever destroy their home and the land they live in to be hurt. Wlaic Old Taiga is an old forest that is beautiful and peaceful, and protecting it will always be the number one priority.

==Plants==

Wlaic Old Taiga is a forest that is home to many different species of trees. There are kola, iura, and ivik trees that are scattered all throughout the region. Despite the area not getting to too cold o temperatures a lot of the flora and fauna is coniferous. The kola and ivik trees are conifers that will always be adorned with green needles up and down their trunks. The iura tree is a deciduous conifer; what this means is that it is a needle-leaved tree that turns gold and loses its needles in the fall. Other trees like the birch and poplar are some that are seen in smaller minorities throughout the Wlaic forest.

Both of these trees are deciduous. However, the poplar tree flowers in the spring meanwhile the birch does not. Flowers are a common sight in Wlaic; as common as the trees in fact. The nayuki is the area’s national flower. Its long neck and odd petal shape stand out to an incredible degree in the Wlaic forest. The most color the trees see are white flowers when the poplar starts blooming. The nayuki can be seen growing in a few colors, but the most common color the petals are is pink with white veins growing up the petal. The climate seems to be perfect to grow nayukis in, and they are normally found growing in the sunnier sections of the forest.

Another flower that is commonly seen all throughout Wlaic is the avloroor. avloroors are small five-petaled flowers that grow on curving stems. The petals are normally white or pink, but the rare yellow avloroor does grow on occasion. The surface of the avloroor is covered in flexible plant hairs that produce a sticky substance. This substance is there to entrap insects and other small prey. There is an interesting similarity between the Wlaic Old Taiga and the Vesia Dense Forest; they both have a type of carnivorous plant. Wlaic is home to the avloroor and Vesia has the ostrea.

Many berry bushes can be found in Wlaic. The area is abundant with both regular and poisonous berries. The Umjita clan is not affected by the bushes since they are blood-drinking kin’toni, but they make a point to know all the plant life in their home. So, the berry bushes are well known and protected by the common practice of conservation in Wlaic. The majority of berry bushes are non-toxic and have been rumored to be quite delectable. Some folks travel from all over Taerel to get a taste of the famous Wlaic berry bushes. A big part of Vesia plantlike as well as in Wlaic are the mushrooms.

These fungi that grow from the forest floor have made quite a name for themselves in the forest. So many mushrooms grow, that they are the only plant life that can be destroyed for no good reason. Some travelers take them for food and cooking, meanwhile, others don’t seem to care about fungal presence.

==Animals==
There are many animals that call Wlaic Old Taiga home. The forest has a consistency about it that not many other places have. Because of that, the animals in Wlaic have all existed there for a long time. Some have migrated to Vesia for various reasons: a greater population of food sources, for one. The Wlaic yaertin is one of the creatures that has migrated to Vesia, for the most part. The Wlaic yaertin was named long before the splitting of Vesia from Wlaic. Despite the majority of the Wlaic yaertin population living in Vesia, the name remains unchanged.

Another creature that sticks to the Vesia region is the murkion. Murkion are birds that can occasionally be seen flying over Wlaic. In terms of birds in the Wlaic region, however, they are a rare sight. The skies above Wlaic are abundant in birds. So many different species call the Wlaic skies and treetops home. Wlaic birds all seem to have one trait in common. They are incredibly noisy creatures. A common sound in Wlaic is the various bird songs that all the species of birds sing. Some birds sing at night, others midday, and some in the early hours. The only constant is that there is always a birdsong to be heard in Wlaic.

It is simply a part of the ambiance of the region. Wlaic Old Taiga has a bit of a reputation that goes beyond being home to one of the earliest civilizations in Taerel and having a rich and deep culture. One thing that is almost always mentioned when a traveler is heading for Wlaic is not to be wary of the kin’toni clan that rules over the land, but to be aware that the forest is not a quiet and restful place. While it is a peaceful and gorgeous forest, it is not a place where one goes to simply experience quiet relaxation. The Wlaic Old Taiga is a noisy place, and that is entirely due to the animal populations that live there.

For some reason, almost all the animals that call Wlaic home are incredibly noisy. Whether they howl, chirp or a neigh, a creature in the forest is always making a sound. It is reassuring, however, knowing that the forest is full of so much life. The animals are well taken care of, and because of that, some will even get close to migrants or travelers and interact with them occasionally. The animal life being something so dense is a fact that should be applauded in Wlaic. Animals are the most local of life to exist and having them be so prevalent is reassuring.

While in some locations of Taerel the animal life has been driven to extinction, one of the oldest locations and civilizations has always worked to take care of the plants and animals that were the first to call the Wlaic Old Taiga home. Animal life there is present and content and they show it with their many different songs.
