==Geography==

In the era before the Zygo city and Winnash renaissance, the region was empty. All that existed for a very long time was just sandy plains. It was miles upon miles of sand atop flat land that never changed. When the Ghaz zu’aan tribe moved in, the area started being built up. It began with a few small homes and settlements. A town hall, single-family homes, and a building for work. As the Ghaz became more established in the region, more structures began to pop up. More homes were being built as the Ghaz population grew. Farms that contained the one plant that grew in Winnash were established.

The Ghaz zu’aan tribe was making quick work of the land and establishing a quaint village in Winnash. Soon, expansion began. In the grand scheme of things, the initial expansion happened quickly. In the blink of an eye, there were buildings everywhere. The original village of Winnash was declared Old Towne and became a historic site. It was, after all, the beginning of the Winnash community. Buildings for everything now existed. Neighborhoods were drawn out. The market neighborhood was the closest to Old Towne, as that’s how the Ghaz tribe was able to acquire so many resources to build up Zygo, and in turn, Winnash.

The market contains trading stalls and market stalls. Anything one could want can be found in those stands. If one can’t find something there, than that product just hasn’t made its way into Winnash yet. On the opposite side of Old Towne is the actual neighborhood where the homes and apartments of the citizens are located. Not all of the homes are here, as new ones are being built all the time to accommodate the rapidly growing population, but the largest cluster of homes can be found in this neighborhood. On the northern side, right on the outskirts of Zygo, is the Iona neighborhood, or party area of Winnash.

In Iona, clubs, bars, and parties of all kinds are found here. Every building in this section of Zygo functions as a way for the citizens to let loose and have fun. This is where people go to indulge and seek out their darkest desires. On the southern side of Old Towne is where the schools are located. Different educational institutions are all located in this one area. From barely walking children to university students, they all attend school in the same general area; different buildings, though. Finally, in the center of Zygo, in the tallest building, is the Ghaz headquarters.

Since so many walks of life now live in Winnash, the Ghaz had to establish a home base where they could be with the members of their tribe. This is where the government works out of, and where all serious decisions regarding the land or the people in it are made. There is so much more to the ever-expanding Winnash Sandy Plains, that it is hard to keep track of every new neighborhood and establishment.

==Plants==

Since Winnash Sandy Plains is a desert city not a lot of plant life exists. Even when the area was just desert, plant life was not often found. The sand that covers the region is not optimal for sustaining any kind of life, let alone plant life. Only one plant grows naturally in the area: the quan’ii. Quan’ii is a spike-covered plant that is only ever found in sand biomes, like Winnash and Umum. The quan’ii is a green plant that only grows to be a couple of feet tall. It is covered in spikes that work to keep animals away. The spikes protect the very valuable water that is located inside of the quan’ii plant.

The water located inside of it is one of the rare natural resources of water that can be found in a sandy biome, especially in the Winnash region. However, now that Zygo is a built-up city, water is much easier to come by, so the quan’ii plant is not heavily sought after anymore. When Winnash was still a small little village, the quan’ii was actually farmed. Since it was really the only form of water found in the desolate wasteland that was one Winnash, the Ghaz zu'aan tribe people had learned to farm the plant in order to keep their community alive.

Now, the farms are used to mass-produce quan’ii, making it not a rare plant anymore, ensuring that everyone in the city has easy access to the plant and its water to keep the citizens of Winnash alive. The other plants that can be found in Winnash are not local and do not grow in Winnash naturally. Some of the tradespeople have brought in their own crops and plants. They attempt to grow various flora and fauna in Winnash, but it is a fruitless effort. Any plant that can be found and traded in Winnash is more than likely not grown there. The climate is too hot and dry to be able to grow plants from different regions of Taerel.

This, however, makes the non-native plant life that is able to grow in Winnash extremely valuable. Merchants are able to overprice very common plants simply due to the fact that they are able to grow in Winnash. While it is a grand feat being able to grow a crop that primarily grows in colder climates, in Winnash, overpricing it to the extreme is not good business. However, the citizens of the Winnash Sandy Plains city will continue to pay for it, simply because it is something new and interesting. Winnash is home to an abundance of plant life when you look at the city.

However, strictly speaking on the Winnash Sandy Plains, the land is all but barren. It is too hot and dry to grow much else besides the quan’ii. If any plant life besides the quan’ii does exist, it is not to anyone's knowledge and has done a fantastic job of preserving itself in the harsh Winnash sandy landscape.

==Animals==

There are many similarities between the Winnash sands and the Umum sands. One of those similarities is the treacherous urdemsa. The urdemsa is a slimy, limbless creature that spends its days beneath the sand of Winnash. Urdemsa have only ever been recorded living in sandy biomes, so it is safe to assume that hot and dry climates are quite attractive to the urdemsa. These creatures vary in their length; some only grow to be the size of the palm of a hand, meanwhile, others can grow to be the length of a city block. Even though the larger urdemsa could easily decimate the Winnash city in search of food, the loud hustle and bustle of the city keeps them at bay.

The urdemsa have been proven to be easily spooked and only go after prey that is easy to capture. So weary and lost travelers that are quite aways away from the Winnash city center are the optimal kill. The Umum urdemsa have been known to not be so timid, and are frequently recorded as having taken out many large traveling kin’toni parties. It is safe to assume that the large presence of people, not to mention the loud construction of the ever-growing city, has frightened the urdemsa into keeping their distance and to only hunt solo travelers, or those in small groups.

Besides the urdemsa, there is no other record of any other animals that are local to the sandy plains that make up Winnash. The region, prior to the city, had a reputation of being a desolate and barren area. Naturally, that would imply that not a lot of life can exist there. This goes for plants and animals. There is no naturally growing food that the animals can consume. Since the city had been established, however, animals are now a common sight in Winnash. Most common animals now take up residency in Winnash.

This is entirely due to the trading and massive influx of people moving into the Zygo city. Farms are now well established, and a grand variety of cattle can be traded or purchased. The vermin brought into the city have proved to be quite the problem. The wild ukors will go around and steal food from people, and when that proves unsuccessful, they will go after the cattle kept on nearby farms. Some of the wild ukors are very aggressive and have been known to attack people in some instances. The vermin of Winnash are a nuisance. They get into trade products, cause illness, and eat food that is not for them.

It is unclear when the vermin and wild ukors showed up, but it is assumed that they were brought from their native regions when a tradesperson moved to Winnash with hopes of finding wealth in the expanding city. While they might find wealth, they also bring the possibility of disease.
