==History==

Long before the outbreak had happened, the Kin-ver clan had been timid and shy zu’aan. Living in Rymit Boreal Lake, they had never had to venture far for anything that they needed. While being zu’aan they had started farms for the food that they needed, and they had managed to start up their own small civilization within their clan. They hadn’t wanted anything but to be left alone, and so they wouldn’t go out for anything that wasn’t deemed entirely necessary. Because of how timid and shy they were, the Kin-ver clan didn’t really have a leader that would advocate for their needs. Instead, they had Giycla.

Giycla was the face of the clan, although she was only there for looks. Having been appointed as the leader of the clan long before the outbreak happened, Giycla was one of the only leaders of a kin’toni clan that was only there to show that the clan had a leader. She didn’t actually have any power, but instead went to show that they had a leader when they needed to. While she was usually at all of the meetings that there were, this was only so that she knew what laws and decisions were made in case she needed to go and meet with other clans. This would always ensure that she knew what she was talking about, so the illusion of her being the leader was there.

This ruse was in place because the Kin-ver clan really did not have a government. They would vote as a clan so that they would all have fair say in the issues, but they decided against having set leaders for any purpose, aside from Giycla. As time passed and they were changed into kin’toni, they had only evolved slightly. They were still quite shy and timid beings, but as they were changed, they learned that they would have to go out and drink zu'aan blood to survive. Rather than going out and hunting on their own, they had facilitated a trade between them and another clan.

Where they would give the clan some wares that they had hand made, in return for some zu'aan blood. They did this because they refused to be the ones that would have to go out and do the hunting. The members of the clan didn’t believe that they would be able to hunt down and kill zu'aan so they could eat. They didn’t like that they needed blood to live, but they were okay with it in the sense that if they had to drink the blood out of bags, then they would.

Since they received their blood in bags, when they would have to drink it, they would add it into cups with lids, so they didn’t have to look at the blood. This made it easier for them to drink enough, as well as continue to get enough nutrients so that they could survive. While they didn’t like it, they also didn’t reject the idea of needing blood to survive.

==Psychology==

As it was stated previously, the Kin-ver clan was very timid and very quiet. They would do everything that they could to keep to themselves as they didn’t like having to talk to anyone that they didn’t know. This was especially true when they would have to interact with other clans, and so they would make a point to be short with their answers in hopes that the other kin’toni wouldn’t want to talk to them. While they didn’t want to be rude, they knew it was the quickest way to make other kin’toni leave them alone, and they would use that to their advantage.

The only kin’toni in their clan that was social in any way was Giycla. While she used to be timid like the other kin’toni in the clan, once she had started to take care of their business dealings, she had grown to be more outgoing and talkative to other kin’toni. She knew that as the “leader” of the Kin-ver clan that she would have to talk to other kin’toni and make deals so that her clan would be left to peace as they wanted to be. Over the course of her dealings with other clans, Giycla had learned how to talk well, and how to manipulate the conversation into her favour so that she could get what she needed.

While she had become outspoken and talkative, there were times when Giycla just wanted to be like the rest of her clan and be able to stay at home in silence. However, she knew that she wouldn’t be able to do that, and she accepted it. That was how her life was going to be until they were able to find a replacement for her. It had been widely known for a long time that the Kin-ver clan didn’t like to fight other clans unless they had to. Because of this, they would go out of their way to avoid each other so they didn’t have to fight, and this worked for them.

There was and agreement around the clan that if they had an argument, or if there was something that they needed to resolve, that they would do so as a clan. They would gather a group of their peers and they would each take a turn describing what happened so the other kin’toni there could come to a fair understanding. The resolution would come easily, and usually would just mean that the two kin’toni that we’re fighting would have to simply leave each other alone so that they could resolve thief issues on their own. This would usually work, and in no time, the kin’toni would go back to being civil with each other as though nothing had happened in the first place.

Since the kin’toni didn’t like to fight, they would go out of their way to endure that they could go back to the way that things had been previously so that they would remain happier.

==Biology==

Since they had decided to be the clan that no one particularly wanted anything to do with, the Kin-ver clan would spend their time doing whatever they wanted to. They did this so that they wouldn’t have to spend too much time with the other members of their clan, and especially any other clans.
Many of them would train to pass the time, and this left them with large muscles that they would really only use to lift and carry things to other places. As well, other kin’toni would be stuck having to deal with listening to these kin’toni talking about having such big muscles and nothing interesting to do with them.

There were other kin’toni that would spend their time knitting and sewing, and as a result they would have an increased eyesight as well as fairly steady hands. Since each of the kin’toni in the Kin-ver clan did whatever they wanted, they all looked as though they were from different clans. Each kin’toni looked different and while this was something that they noticed, it was not something that they would talk about. The only thing that was the same about them was their eyes, as they had orange eyes with yellow flecks around their irises.

Their eyes looked like a small fire was burning there, and as one looked into their eyes for long periods of time, it looked as though their eyes were dancing with flames. This was something that the kin’toni of the Kin-ver clan we’re very proud of, as it was something that they knew made them unique. As well, it was something that they would use to identify members of their clan from far away as it always looked as though their eyes were dancing. Since they lived by a lake, the Kin-ver clan had to deal with animals that would come to the lake to drink or to eat.

And this caused the kin’toni there to have to defend their homes as some of the animals would see the kin’toni as a snack and would try to attack them. Because of this, many of the kin’toni would do what they could to defend themselves, and would end up with scars on their arms and legs.
The animals would end up being so ruthless that some of the kin’toni would end up losing whole limbs in the battles against them, and others would end up passing away from their injuries.

The best defence that they had found against these animals was to keep a stock of meat around so they could throw it to the animals as a way of feeding them, in hopes that they would be able to keep their limbs. After a long time, the clan had developed the medical skills to help with the wounds that the other members would endure, and thus they would be able to keep the kin’toni from losing limbs, and keep infection from setting into their limbs. This was something that they were proud that they had achieved, and they were happy to share it amongst themselves.

==Culture==

Because of the timid nature of the clan, there weren’t many things that the clan would do. They were always happy to go about their time on their own, slowly accomplishing the things that they needed to get done. While they were going about their days, they would take time to catch up with any friends that they had. Since many of them didn’t have many friends, catching up with them would only be a small amount of their day, and as soon as they were done they would go back to doing their small tasks in silence.

There were members of the clan that had figured out how to play music, and they would spend most of their days playing songs and coming up with new ones. They didn’t want to hide their talent, so they would situate themselves in the centre of the village, and they would play their songs as best they could. Many of the other kin’toni would join them to listen to the songs that they played, or they would do their work nearby as they listened. The music would add a soft pace to their work that many of them enjoyed, and so they wouldn’t complain about any of the songs that were played, instead choosing to enjoy the music no matter what was playing.

Sometimes, while the members of the clan were working, they would talk to each other as another way to pass the time, but usually they were silent as speaking would take away from the thoughts that they had. They believed that thinking about everything was a good way to expand their minds, and so they would spend most of their time in silence as they would be thinking. Sometimes they would share their thoughts with another member of the clan, but that was to see if they would be able to get another opinion on it, and usually, they could.

Sometimes they would debate about a topic before they would go back to thinking about it, thinking about it in different ways until they were sure that they had fully figured out the topic they were thinking of.
Other times, they would all sit down together and they would talk about the topics that they had figured out, and while they usually all had the same information about it, sometimes they would find another kin’toni that had different information, and so they would let that kin’toni teach them what they knew so that they could all share in the knowledge.

Since they didn’t socialize with other clans, the Kin-ver clan members considered themselves antisocial. As well, they were rude when they were approached by other kin’toni from other clans. They didn’t want to talk to other kin’toni more than they would have to, and so they would scare them off by being rude to them so no reason. They didn’t see much of an issue with this however, as they considered it a survival tactic

==Government==

As it had been stated, the Kin-ver clan didn’t believe in having a set government. Instead, the believed that they should all be able to sit down and talk about their issues as a group, and be able to come up with a solution that way. They decided that they didn’t want to have any laws with their clan as there wasn’t any point to them in their eyes, and that was how they decided that it was going to stay. The only time they gave in and admitted that they had a “leader” was when Giycla would go to meetings with other clans and facilitate agreements on behalf of the clan.

As well, they would make sure that Giycla knew what she was talking about so they she could come across as a leader, and so the rest of the other clans would leave her alone. Whenever someone else would be suspicious of her, she would talk to them as much as she could in order to relieve the suspicion and allow her to leave without breaking her cover. She always made sure that she was knowledgeable about current events, as well as issues that other clans were having. She would make sure that she was able to speak on most of the issues as a way to remain relevant in the conversation.

And this would ensure that she would eventually sway the conversation in her favour. Swaying the conversation was something that she wouldn’t do too often as she didn’t want the other kin’toni to catch on to what she was doing. Instead, she would wait until they were talking about something similar to what she needed before she would bring the conversation to herself and her clan. This was mainly so that the could secure the alliances and partnerships that she needed to keep her clan safe, but other times she would do it so that she could get them to stop talking about something that she didn’t want to discuss.

Some of the things that she would need to secure for her clan were trades so that they could whet the zu’aan blood that they needed to survive, as well as securing trades so that they could get other supplies that they needed. Since Giycla had such a hard Jon convincing other clans that she was the leader of the Kin-ver clan, when she got back she would be allowed to take as much of a break as she needed to before she would go back out and face the rest of the clan. What she would usually do would be rest for as long as she could, then she would call a meeting while the whole clan so that she could talk about what had happened at the meeting.

She would go over what changes had been made to any trade routes, as well as what goods they were obligated to trade that time. She would go over everything until she was sure that she had talked about everything

==Military==

While there were kin’toni that would spend their time working out and building their muscle, they weren’t part of any set military within the Kin-ver clan.
While there were needs for a military to fulfill, they weren’t anything along the lines of fighting or battling with other kin’toni. Instead, the military was in charge of keeping their borders safe, making sure that any animal attacks were handled, and ensuring that Giycla made it to and from her meetings with ease. All of these tasks only took few kin’toni to complete, so there were only a few kin’toni in their military.

On average, there were two dozen consistent members, these being the ones that would wear the armour and ensure that the rest of the clan was safe, and there were another two dozen that would blend in with the rest of the clan. They would wait until they were needed, as they had the jobs such as stopping animal attacks, as well as accompanying Giycla when she needed to travel.While the Kin-ver clan didn’t have much in the way of rules that they had to follow, the military always had to make sure that they were in top shape and always ready to defend their clan until their last breath.

Although it didn’t happen too often, there were times when the military would have to step in and stop battles on the edges of their borders, or they would have to scare other clans away. Since this didn’t happen often, and there weren’t any clans that truly knew how many members there were of the Kin-ver military, they were able to scare off the other clans with ease. Occasionally, when Giycla was travelling to meetings, rogue kin’toni would see her as weak and they would take the opportunity to try and attack her. While it would be scary for other kin’toni to have to deal with this, Giycla was also trained like the members of the military were, and so she was just as able to defend herself, as they were to keep her safe.

Often times, she would end up defending herself and scaring off the attacking kin’toni before her guards were able to properly get their armour on, and Giycla would spend the rest of the trip teasing them about it as she thought that it was a funny way to pass time. She would spend much of her time back at the village training with her guards so they could all be on the same page when it came to their fighting techniques and which weapons they liked to use.

Usually, the kin-ver military would use short swords and shields, opting for the basic approach as they never truly intended to use their weapons, but when they did have to, they would have as much protection as possible with it.
Giycla herself would carry a dagger on her hip so that she would always have a proper form of protection should she need it.

==Religion==

As ever, the Kin-ver clan didn’t have a true belief in a set god. They weren’t sure if there was a definitive god that ruled over Taerel, and so they wouldn’t believe in anything specific. However, religion had always been something that they would spend their time thinking about and trying to figure out as it was something that they didn’t truly understand. Because of their curiosity, when Giycla would go to her clan meetings, she would be asked if she could talk to the other clans about their religions so that the Kin-ver clan could gain some knowledge from it.

This was something that she would do happily as religion was something that she had always strived to figure out. As well, she had always thought that there should be a religion that they would be able to follow together, but she wasn’t sure which one they should choose, and so instead she wouldn’t bring up that desire to any of the other members of the clan. Sometimes there would be heated debates about the topic of religion, and these would lead many members of the clan into becoming confused or divided about their beliefs. Since each of the members had their own knowledge when it came to what they should believe, they all decided together that they wouldn’t have a religion.

In doing so, the debates about religion had gone down for a while, but every once in a while there were members of the clan that would try and push their knowledge and beliefs onto the members of the clan. They did this in hopes that they would be able to have their religion reign supreme, but instead they would be told that they can’t do that as there was never enough information to back up all of their claims. Sometimes, members of the clan that had specific beliefs would go around and spread their beliefs to other members of the clan in hopes that they would pass them on and spread the belief through the clan until it became the one that mist of the clan believed.

However, this did not become the case, and instead the knowledge would be lost along the way as word of mouth would end up jumbling there knowledge, and eventually they would come up with other religions instead of keeping the same ones that other members were trying to spread. Once, there was a time when the clan had decided that they would try out different religions, but this ended up being stopped as the clan didn’t seem to be prospering under the religions that they tried. At first they thought that the issue was because they were following the rules to the letter, but even after they had replaced them, they noticed that they still weren’t as happy.

So they went back to the ways that they had before they tried the religions, and it was deemed that this was better for the happiness of the clan
