==History==

It had been said that once the Kaxod kin’toni clan had found [[Ler'ther Bushy Grove]], that they had found the place that they thought was perfect to live within. They knew as soon as they surveyed the area that this place would be perfect for them to settle down and to build their society back up. They were a docile clan, believing that violence wouldn’t solve anything, and that just by sitting down and talking about their issues, that arguments or issues could easily be resolved. They chose to live a “vegetarian” lifestyle, training themselves to be able to go long periods without any blood.

They managed on a diet of roots, herbs, and water, finding a way to be able to sustain themselves and keep their strength this way. They shared this knowledge with other kin’toni clans, allowing them the option to choose between needing blood to sustain themselves, or to follow the “vegetarian” lifestyle for themselves. They first started with clearing the long grass in a field to ensure that they would have enough space to build their first buildings.

Ones that would house their clan members, and others that would be used to make their food, and store it so that the members of the clan could come and go as they pleased. As the buildings were being built, the Kaxod clan thoroughly spread them out, giving each other more than enough space to have their own yards, and their own lives. Because of how large the area was that they had decided to inhabit, many of the Kaxod kin’toni clan chose to live together in larger houses, so that they could keep the land open for them to farm on. The Kaxod kin’toni clan had many skills that they developed over time.

While they learned how to make the food that allowed them to be vegetarians, they also figured out how to cook it into a soup that was easier to eat, and made it so that it resembled blood as closely as possible. Other kin’toni in the clan had figured out how to farm the land there, using their own muscles and tools that they had built. All of this knowledge had become widely known amongst the members of the clan, and as they branched out and met other clans, they openly shared what they had learned and figured out so that other clans were able to figure out what they could accomplish within their own areas.

Soon it was known that the Kaxod clan held an immense amount of knowledge, and other clans would travel long distances to obtain some of it. While the Kaxod kin’toni were always willing to give their information for free, many other clans would bring offerings from their clans to offer as a way of thanking them for the information that was given. The Kaxod kin’toni clan became a very prosperous clan, many of them being able to live the lives that they had hoped to accomplish after The Shattering happened. They were able to build up large farms, houses, and even went as far as opening taverns to start offering their vegetarian food as clans would come to visit and wait to speak to some of the Kaxod clan to obtain information from them.

==Psychology==

The Kaxod kin’toni clan was a very intelligent clan. Even before The Shattering happened, they were routinely sought after for their knowledge. They had previously held jobs that allowed them to use their knowledge as they saw fit. Many were librarians or teachers, anything they could do that would allow them to spread their knowledge. Their eyes had always looked as though they were able to stare into your soul, pulling knowledge from what seemed to be thin air. While they weren't able to actually pull knowledge out of the air, they were able to learn quickly, just by watching the world around them.

Because of their heightened intelligence, the Kaxod clan was able to figure out many problems that they had, and make them better. Once they moved to Ler’ther Bushy Grove, they used the knowledge they had to make sure that where they were building their homes was safe to do so. They were able to easily remember which measurements that they would need to build which homes, and they didn't usually need to write that down. They passed the knowledge around amongst themselves, and were able to easily retain it. Many of the clan members had the drive to make sure that their knowledge was intact.

And so, many of them would participate in friendly debates, ensuring that everything that they said was factual and complete. Once the debates were over, they would sit down in large groups and would pass knowledge around so that each member had as much knowledge as they wanted to have individually. Each member would only take the knowledge that they felt they needed for what they intended to use it for. While the Kaxod clan knew that they traditionally held more knowledge within their clan than other kin’toni did, they remained humble about it.

They didn't seek to gloat about what they knew and that they knew more than others did. Instead they chose to remain humble about it, offering their knowledge to anyone who asked for it. They consistently wanted to ensure that anyone who needed something, would have access to it, and not have it kept from them. Some members of the clan had learned that if they sat down and meditated every day, that they would be able to retain more and more information, ensuring that they wouldn't run out of space in their minds to store any and all new information.

They believed that this was a gift bestowed upon them so that they could always help other kin’toni clans to gain enough knowledge to be able to rebuild their lives after The Shattering. They wanted to make sure that they weren't the only clan that was prospering and evolving over time.

==Biology==

The kin’toni of the Kaxod clan held beautiful pale green, almost transparent eyes. With these they were able to learn as they witnessed new things. They could figure out something within minutes of sitting down to figure it out, and they would immediately share the information. If you were to stare into their eyes for a long time, you would question whether their eyes were really green, if they were blue, or if maybe they were entirely clear. Their eyes always seemed to be changing with the light they were in, and depending on how many shadows were around them.

The Kaxod clan was composed of many small, lean kin’toni, their body size and shape being entirely caused by the vegetarian soup that they would consume. While it held mostly the same nutritional value as blood would, it lacked enough fat to keep the kin’toni from becoming more lean, so that is exactly what happened to the Kaxod clan. Their heads were larger than average, since their brains were larger, a trait that they believed was given to them so that they could retain more information within their brains. While this could reign true, the Kaxod clan took it to another level and believed that they were blessed with the larger heads.

That they were a gift to them so that they could make sure that their purpose was retaining and then spreading knowledge around to as many kin’toni that they could possibly reach. Because of them being so small, many of them usually needed assistance with things like carrying certain things, or walking long distances. They would usually have to rely on each other to carry out larger tasks that for the most part, only one average kin’toni would be able to complete on their own. Because of this, they learned ways to get around needing to burden too many other kin’toni with having to help them.

They invented base level objects to help them with tasks such as stirring the large pots of soup, building and renovating their buildings, and combat. While they were a self-proclaimed docile clan, the Kaxod kin’toni clan knew that they would have to make sure that they knew how to fight, ensuring that should the need arise, that they would be able to defend themselves. They held a firm understanding that being able to fight in packs would yield better results than if they were to try to fight on their own. They took their knowledge into account here, and added it into their fighting techniques, learning from other clans to make sure they could do what they needed to do.

In being so small, they were able to move faster than many average kin’toni could. When they moved around it was almost as though they would scurry around like mice would. Their legs moved faster, and took significantly more steps than average kin’toni would. They used this to travel faster around their compound, getting to places faster and thus more efficiently.

==Culture==

It was widely known that the Kaxod kin’toni clan had essentially built themselves on knowledge. Because of this, they wouldn't spend too much of their time on cultural events, especially if those would take away from the time that they would spend learning new things. Although one thing could be said, no matter what the Kaxod clan was doing, they would do it in groups. They seemed to feel the need to share everything with each other, and then they would share that with even more of the clan, before sharing it to other clans.

Because of their thirst for knowledge, they were always holding study groups and debates to ensure that anyone who wanted to learn more, or was missing a piece of knowledge was caught up. These groups were always open to the public, ensuring that anyone could join, and they would be happy to have them. The Kaxod kin’toni clan had classically very good manners. It seemed that they were always thanking each other for things that were done for each other. They knew that they could always ask another clan member for help and they would receive it, before promptly thanking them to make sure it was known that the deed hadn't gone unnoticed.

As well as that, they were always apologizing to each other, even though sometimes it could be said that it wasn't needed. The Kaxod clan always held their manners to a high standard, ensuring that anyone who entered their clan would follow the same set of manners. They made sure that everyone felt appreciated, and wanted within the clan. If there ever came a time that someone didn't feel wanted and/or appreciated, they would gather and make sure that this member knew they were as loved as everyone else. This would ensure a strong community setting among the Kaxod clan, something that they would pride themselves on.

Since they had so much extra knowledge, the Kaxod kin’toni clan had some of the best medical training that they could ask for. They were always searching for new and better ways to expand their knowledge of various medical practices. Because they were so apt to learn new things, many of their citizens would allow them to learn while they were receiving medical treatment, knowing that their companions knew what they were doing, and that this new knowledge would go towards saving so many more lives. Once a new skill was perfected, the Kaxod clan would quickly share it with other clans as soon as they could.

They would offer to have anyone needing medical attention brought to them so that they could demonstrate their knowledge and thus teach new clans how to care for their wounded members more efficiently. Many of the other clans were highly appreciative of the efforts of the Kaxod clan, and would thank them profusely for passing on the knowledge to them that would allow them to aid their own clans better.

==Government==

Since they were such a docile clan, the Kaxod kin’toni clan didn't feel much of a need for excessive laws. Also, they didn't feel the need to appoint anyone as head of the government. Each and every decision, law, or practice was brought before the entirety of the Kaxod clan so that they could vote on it and debate over the details. This would ensure that everyone understood the laws that were put into place, and that no one was confused about the details. The debates would always last at least a full day so that any and all concerns were met and accounted for.

Although the laws and regulations that were put into place were there to ensure the safety of the clan from outside forces that could bring harm to them. Because of their penchant for safety, any time they held a study group or meeting that was open to the public, they would make sure to thoroughly screen any kin’toni that entered that wasn't from their clan. As they let them in, every member of the clan always wanted to ensure that their other clan members were kept safe from any attacks that were planned. They would confiscate any and all weapons that could be used to harm another kin’toni.

And they would keep it in another house that was guarded so that no one would be able to enter until a kin’toni from the Kaxod clan was able to come and retrieve the weapons and they were released back to their rightful owners. Even though they didn't feel the need for one amongst themselves, the Kaxod clan did appoint an army that was used mostly for ensuring the safety of the clan. They were considered more as bodyguards than they were army. They consisted of as many of the strongest Kaxod kin’toni they could find, and it was ensured that they were trained with the best fighting techniques.

These bodyguards would be used to guard the weapons when there was a study group going on, they would guard medical supplies that they thought would be stolen by other clans that needed them, as they understood that other clans weren't as docile as they were. The Kaxod kin’toni clan held many partnerships with neighbouring clans as they were always sought after for their growing knowledge in various fields. Many other clans would seek them out to gain knowledge from them, and the Kaxod clan was always happy to help them. These other clans would bring their wares and goods to trade for knowledge.

This would ensure that they had a nearly constant stream of supplies that they could use and master before passing them on to other clans. They would distribute these amongst themselves first, allowing for their clan members to take what they needed before they would send them off to other clans that they thought could also use them. Because of the way that they always made sure not only they, but other clans were taken care of, the Kaxod kin’toni clan was very highly respected and valued.

==Military==

As it had been previously stated, the Kaxod kin’toni clan didn't believe in partaking in violence. They believed that conflicts could be resolved with words and kind actions. Regardless of this, the Kaxod clan understood that there were many other clans that didn't believe in talking it out. In light of this, they decided to appoint their own army. One whose sole purpose would be to ensure the safety of the clan. While they were an army in name, in nature they seemed more like bodyguards. They were there to keep their clan safe from anything that could cause harm to them.

The guards were chosen from the strongest people within the Kaxod kin’toni clan, and it would be made sure that they knew of their duties, and what they were required to learn before they were officially made into guards. There were a few training exercises that the Kaxod clan learned would teach them the best fighting techniques for them to use. As the guards grew stronger each day, other clan members set to work forging weapons for the Kaxod guards to use should they need them. There were bows, arrows, spears and shields made for their use, and each guard learned quickly how to use them.

They were well versed in their techniques long before they were officially appointed as guards, and this was to make sure that they knew everything they needed to, to be able to protect their clan. They were also taught as many medical practices as they thought were needed, so that should the need arise, they would be able to provide medical care to anyone, regardless of what type of injuries they had. Because of the lack of need for every member of the military to be present at all times, groups of them would travel to other clans and offer to teach their fighting and weapons techniques in return to have their allegiance.

While they knew it wasn't guaranteed, they trusted the clans that they helped, knowing that if worst came to worst, they hadn't taught them everything they knew. And that they should be able to diffuse any situation. This way they could be sure that they wouldn't be attacked by any of the clans that they had taught. Also, when there came a time that the army would have to set out into battle, they would have any alliances that would help to protect them from any type of harm that could come to them. When there was a need for battle, the Kaxod army would stay behind, providing medical care for the wounded, and only a few of the best guards would participate in the battle.

The Kaxod army was usually one that would be called on for negotiations, or to work out a peace treaty amongst the other clans that had decided to do battle. Their intelligence was used to deduce the fighting patterns of their enemies so that they could overtake them and win the battle quicker so that no more people would get hurt.

==Religion==

The Kaxod kin’toni clan had always believed that knowledge in itself was a religion. They believed that when the infection happened that turned them into kin’toni, that they were chosen to have exceptionally large brains and heads so that they could absorb as much knowledge as possible. While they didn't overly believe that there was a higher power that had granted them their powers, they did believe that the infection had caused the thirst for knowledge within their clan. This allowed them to set out on their pursuit of knowledge almost endlessly.

It was as though they worshipped knowledge itself as a god, bowing down to the endless amount of knowledge that they could gain in their everyday life. They were essentially drunk with the idea that there would always be something new to learn. The Kaxod clan believed that they had been chosen by the virus to live out their days collecting knowledge and living a fairly prosperous life in Ler’ther Bushy Grove. Since they were always in the pursuit of knowledge, they let any clan who wished to share with them, teach them about whatever religious ways they had.

Many clans would share the knowledge that they had, teaching the Kaxod clan everything they could about their religion as they wanted to be sure that they passed on more than enough information. They would ask for their feedback to see if one of the most knowledgeable clans thought that their religion was well founded, or if it was a ridiculous notion that didn't have anything to back it up.The Kaxod clan, always having the need to test out all of the knowledge they came across, would always spend time testing out the other religions that they had learned about, wanting to see what the appeal to them could possibly be.

They each took the religion and added it into their ways, fully immersing themselves in it before deciding whether they thought the religion was worth it, or if it truly didn't make any sense to them. While most of the religions held no real belief system for the Kaxod clan, they would still pass the knowledge on, ensuring that it was available to anyone that wished to access and understand the religion for themselves.

The Kaxod clan wouldn't discriminate against anyone based on what they chose to believe in, and if a clan was to believe that someone they couldn't see was the one that put them on Taerel and set the infection about them, then they allowed them to believe that. At the end of it all, once they had evaluated every religion that they had come across, they decided to take some religious practices, such as gatherings, and dinners into their own clan, using them to further the bond between their clanmates, they knew that to them, nothing would come above the pursuit of endless knowledge, and that no power in their world, or any other being would take that away from them.
