==History==

The Invernus clan's origins date back to the year 4E 24, back when clan founder Dyndra Norot was in her first few years as leader of the clan. She didn't have much experience in leadership capabilities, but what she lacked in leadership back then she made up for in common sense and logic. One day, in the year 4E 29, after not hearing from her brother Yrdynwa for over four years, she discovered that he, too, had been turned by one of her kin'toni, so after calling for her brother to step forward they had a candid and fairly lively conversation regarding their past as a family and what they would be able to do.

Moving forward; thus, a partnership was eventually made as she appointed her brother Yrdynwa to be the clan's vice leader or second in command. Strangely enough, as time passed the brother and sister kin'toni eventually discovered that their self-images were the most important thing to themselves and the clan, so they began to resort to what they called borrowing from other nearby regions to make their region more prosperous and tolerable, all while managing to get other kin'toni in the Invernus clan to turn zu'aan. Soon enough, all of the kin'toni in this clan would resort to this same tactic.

This was only because they had nothing of their own to make do with. So with that being said, they mainly peddled for resources and took things from other clans, scavenging whatever they could to do their part in making themselves live longer and become more hospitable to themselves. After the deaths of both of the Norot siblings in 4E 122 and 4E 125, respectively, the Invernus clan essentially broke down, thus not being able to handle the effects of losing their two most important leaders and role models; as a result of this, the clan became anarchy, and the clan's new leaders showed themselves.

They was a minority of thirteen figures, who revealed themselves as the clan founder's successors, thus referring to themselves as the Cu'ayzioa (or, the Chosen Ones) and believed that they and only they could be able to lead the clan into prosperity. From there on in, it all began to go downhill, albeit not exactly in a hurry. Over a period of nearly a hundred years, the clan began to destroy itself from within. Currently, the clan stands with a population of roughly three hundred kin'toni in total, supposedly as a result of the disastrous fall to become an anarchy. It is not known even today why the clan's population went to pieces so abruptly and so violently.

But some allies of the Invernus clan suggest that this was all a result of a grand delusion within the clan that caused most of the Invernus kin'toni population to begin to act in strange ways that would otherwise be considered illegal and even immoral in most other clans regions. Thus, the Invernus clan have essentially killed themselves from the inside, and with an Ice Age approaching, it looks like they may have to resort to moving to new regional territories in order to find a warmer spot.

==Psychology==

Psychologically speaking, the typical Invernus kin'toni does not like to spend time building things, and as a result, the Invernus kin'toni has become essentially selfish and only wants to serve oneself instead of contributing to other important things such as preserving their own. They spend a lot of time scavenging for things and stealing things within one's own region and of other neighbouring regions. Because of this, the Invernus Kintoni tends to complain habitually about things that he or she doesn't seem to have, then cries if one discovers that he or she has wasted a certain resource that they scavenged or stole from another region.

Which essentially makes them somewhat immature in mentality. The Invernus kin'toni are also quite greedy as more is never enough for them, so on and on they press their luck, hoping to get something bigger or something else like a tooth from an animal. Given that, it comes as no secret that Invernus kin'toni can be pretty sneaky as well, especially considering how a typical kin'toni of this particular kind and region is very good and very capable of defending oneself in a fight. Despite their pugilistic and otherwise obscene behaviours, most kin'toni in this clan typically have a lot of time on their hands.

They can not seem to think of anything better to do other than peddle and steal stuff. Because of the typical Invernus kin'toni's remorseless passion for collecting things one belonging to this region is also really good at hiding things in places where not even their allies can find them, and as a result most Invernus kin'toni have a way of hiding things that make them extremely cunning and very interesting. Because of this, it is generally suggested that the typical Invernus kin'toni keeps one's own collections in places where only he or she and certain others that he or she trusts.

When it comes to other psychological issues, some of the kin'toni in this particular clan have been prone to experiencing flashbacks of previous ordeals from their distant but otherwise not so pleasant past, which most would prefer not to think about in such a respect that they end up dwelling on common mistakes that they make. These do not include bribery, robbery, and even impersonations of authority figures and these things, which are generally considered immoral in most other clans, are considered normal in this one. kin'toni in this clan that is good at such things are respected to some extent.

==Biology==

The Invernus are adapted to the cold, windswept, misty Plxiau Moor. They are dense and medium-sized of build, with wide chests and deep lungs as to get the most oxygen intake in the thin moor air. The downside of this is being awkward in small spaces, and in many cases, being unable to fit. Skin is dull greens and browns in color. It is much thicker and darker than normal, being able to deal with the abrasive effects of the wind and rain. On their shoulders, back and forearms are patches of bristly, oil-coated hair to protect from the cold, damp environment.

This has the downside of being less touch and injury, leading to small cuts being hard to notice. The eyes are large, and reflective, and dark green in color. These eyes have an extra layer of moisture-retaining tear ducts, to allow for excellent vision in perpetual mist and darkness. The ears are short, and pointed backwards from the head. They have changed inner ears with modified balance mechanisms that are adapted for low-pressure instability and severe winds. This allows them good balance on slippery slopes.

Nose is adapted to have structures that can filter dense moisture from the air to minimize water loss and aid smelling in the thick fog. This has the downside of them being sensitive to dry heat and low humidity.] Teeth are thick, and alongside with much larger jaw muscles, adapted to crush the dense bones and gristle of of their local prey. The claws are thick, broad and flat for gripping into rock that is often wet, mossy or icy using an dense, abrasive surface. These claws are not so good for fine manipulation.

The finger and toe bones are very reinforced as to protect from crushing damage from falling rocks or heavy objects. These fingers are more rigid, and struggle to use small or complex tools. The feet have specialized, dense pads and internal musculature to allow them to more without sound on uneven, waterlogged peat and gravel. These feet are susceptible to fungal infections and slow-healing sores if they are not cared for properly. The circulatory system is modified with extra valve points as to allow for blood flow to the brain within the low oxygen, high-altitude environment of the moor.

Lungs have an adaption to allow them to maximum oxygen from the thin mountain air. This is bound with an efficient, high-capacity version of hemoglobin. The downside of this is that they suffer from oxygen poisoning if they go down to lower altitudes without acclimatizing. The digestive system's filtering glands are adapted for breaking down and neutralizing toxic lichen and acidic waters that are common in this landscape. As it is optimized for these specific toxins, it does not work on biological poisons found in lowland environments.

They also have highly insulating, fat-like tissue, interworven with their muscles as to keep them warm and hidden for hours in freezing puddles or rain-soaked mud without losing core heat The body is better at regulation in the severe temperature drops during the night or foggy hours, stopping cellular freezing. Downside of this is a much higher energy expenditure than other Clans. This means they have to drink more blood to counter the energy expenditure.

==Culture==

Invernus kin'toni has a very strange culture about them, which make them very awkward in nature when compared to other clans. Given that, it comes as no secret that the typical kin'toni in this particular clan has a way of expressing one's own desires and ambition in life, especially when in the presence of others, usually their own clanmates. Because of this, they have a tendency to make themselves the centre of attention and it makes them quite rambunctious and very attention-seeking, which makes them not like most clans. And as far as how they go about their daily routines, most of the typical Invernus kin'toni also have a strange urge to steal things.

Fashion in the Invernus clan is quite simple. If one chooses to stay warm all the time, then one typically will wear a full-length cloak that covers most of one's own body and sometimes, one's feet. If one has a tendency to be cold-natured, then one can choose to wear just a loincloth during times of warmer weather. Either way, the fashion within the Invernus clan is interesting, with some of the kin'toni in the clan being warm-blooded and choosing to wear heavy clothing and others being cold-blooded and choosing to wear light clothing. It is rare for a kin'toni in this clan to not wear clothing at all.

Generally speaking, the Invernus kin'toni clan like to make their own games and have been known to make the rules as they go along, which lead some to question how the game is supposed to be played. During these so-called games, a lot of time is taken in trying to determine the best way to get the most outing of playing a certain way, and in some cases playing strategies are determined by way of old-school catch-as-catch-can wrestling between one kin'toni from each of the opposing sides, where the winner will get to use the most effective playing strategy along with their team and the losing grappler will have to use a slightly less effective strategy.

Most of the Invernus kin'toni have a tendency to hoard different things, especially in terms of determining where to put these aforementioned things. Part of the reason is that they are quite a bit dumber than most clans, yet have a lot of street smarts and common sense, supposedly enough to last several lifetimes. It is not entirely known why the Invernus kin'toni like to engage in hoarding, but some of their allies suggest that either: one, they don't seem to know any better, or; two, they have a huge problem trying to determine what's right and wrong in certain given situations, especially in situations where the typical Invernus kin'toni sees something that he or she wants.

==Government==

Since the clan became a tribal hierarchy following the death of their clan founder and her brother and co-leader some 140 years ago the clan is run by thirteen rebels whose main focus in their time as leaders are to serve the clan's overall agenda, which is to scavenge things from afar and get whatever they can get in life to restructure their region. Given that, it comes as no surprise that this particular agenda is very much supported by the vast majority of the Invernus kin'toni population, especially when it comes to scavenging for things and making do with the things that they do have as much as they are possible.

Either way, when it all comes down to it the rebels that lead this clan supposedly speak for the clan itself. Strangely, there is a tribal hierarchy within the leadership that rules over the population of the Invernus clan and its region. The leaders with the least power, referred to as the Myrzrans, are also the ones who have the most influence in what legislations are passed and what legislations are struck down; however, the leaders who also serve as the next-in-command, referred to as the Kuazrygons, are also responsible for maintaining and leading the Invernus clan's military, which is known as the Zuza'ru.

The three leaders with the most power, though they don't have too much of a say in what laws are passed or struck down, are known as the Hizerarins, and they have control over how the clan's alliances and rivalries from afar are managed. Vacancies within the group that rules this clan are determined by many factors: first, a vacancy in the group can occur if a major offence by a member of the clan's government is committed and ends up doing more harm than good to the clan as a whole; second, a vacancy can occur if a member within the government suddenly dies, at which point the rest of the group would appoint the wisest of the rebels not yet in the group to replace him or her.

Even so, some of the members within the group have been known to quit or resign because the best. and because of that one could be appointed to replace him, and in some cases, a lack of loyalty has caused one to be admonished from the group. If the need of a special tournament is desired to elect the new forthcoming Hizerarin, this will typically result as a result of the previous Hizerarin choosing not to run the clan for another term or the death of the previous Hizerarin as a result of old age or something related to some form of a mysterious illness. This tournament the wisest and strongest battle in a martial-arts tournament bracket.

And the winner of the tournament gets to be coronated as the new Hizerarin as their time of rule will then begin; the losers, however, will still get an opportunity to participate in future tournaments in the event of a future vacancy within the government that rules over the Invernus clan.

==Military==

Typically the military is run by the five Kuazrygons from within the clan's government and since the year 4E 164 the Invernus clan's military has been referred to as the Unvyrkularu'sygru (or, the Empire); previously, from after the death of the clan's first two leaders until roughly 4E 164, the clan's military had been referred to as the Sygrunvyr (or, the Empire of the Invernus Clan). The reason for the name change was mainly because of the fact that the clan's military name, according to some, had revealed the identity of the clan, which was later proven by one of the clan's allies.

In order to apply for the Unvyrkularu'sygru one has to have undergone a full transformation at most five weeks after being turned into an Invernus kin'toni; this means that anyone who is still undergoing the transformation process more than five weeks after being turned into an Invernus kin'toni cannot apply for the clan's military until they are around 100 years of age. Generally speaking, anyone that has been fully transformed within five weeks after they were turned can join to be a soldier in the Unvyrkularu at any time, but they are not always considered to be the favourites as the five Kuazrygons.

That run this particular military as they don't necessarily like to pick favourites because everyone is equally vital. Because it is urgent for soldiers in the Unvyrkularu'sygru to display a sense of great pride, honour and loyalty to the regime that runs the Invernus clan most of the soldiers would generally recommend several hours of rigorous exercise each night and about fifteen more minutes of vigorous exercise during the day for a fast metabolism. Given that, it comes as no surprise that most of the soldiers in the Invernus kin'toni population have a lot of good health habits in addition

To their general seven-hour-a-day schedule, and also shows how a lot of the time the typical Invernus soldier has a lot of muscle and a big appetite at times. There are several ways one can be discharged from the Unvyrkularu'sygru: for instance, one can be discharged (dishonourably) if one were to commit an act of treason against one's own fellow soldiers or goes AWOL during the battle; in another related example, one can be discharged if one has served at least 2,000 years in any one of the clan's five military branches, each of which is governed by a Kuazrygon from the clan's government. Finally, a person can be discharged with a certain honour if one were to die in combat.

==Religion==

When it comes to religion and other such things the Invernus clan are very religious, although not entirely. The typical Invernus clan member is usually a firm believer in a religion that the Invernus clan and its anarchical government commonly refer to as Zworynsaxd'so (or, Practice of Unity), and all that believe in this religion are generally considered by most or all of their allies as agnostic and somewhat devoid of religious allegiance. The Invernus clan themselves dispute this claim made by their allies, however, suggesting that their religion is not a choice of whether or not to have faith in a higher power.

But a choice of whether or not their higher power actually exists in their mind instead. Several of the primary leaders that control the Invernus clan's way of life referred to as the Efosdsa (or, High Priest) and the Oosdfnsa, respectively, are the basis and foundation of the clan's religious spirituality. They attend every religious service and mass in the largest cave in the region, where it is members of the clan are also present during said services and masses to preside over these meetings and lead in prayer. Because of this, one would generally participate with one's own fellow Invernus clan members in a series of chants dedicated to the inevitability of their death and the precious value of their livelihood.

This is followed by a sermon, which closes with a prayer before the crowd disperses. When it comes to other such religious activities a typical Invernus kin'toni will normally pray just before going to sleep for the day with simple cleansing and absolving of their sins through prayer. Some say that this is because of the fact that most of the Invernus population are immature and don't seem to know the difference between having faith in religion and choosing not to believe in a religion at all, but most of the Invernus population suggest that their religion is a direct result of their being able to connect with each other's religious beliefs and individual faiths.

And combine all of the clan's religious beliefs together with an added mixture of atheistic subliminal messaging. Given that, most Invernus kin'toni prefers to pray once during the day before they sleep and once before they head out into the open to conduct their nightly activities. In general, most Invernus kin'toni believes in the faith of Zworynsaxd'so because it helps them embrace their mortality as kin'toni and the abundance of life; furthermore, this religion was created by the religious and spiritual leaders of the Invernus clan's government in the year 4E 165 as a direct result of many of their allies shunning them for being agnostic.

And it has since evolved into a regional religion that most Invernus kin'toni has come to accept as their religion of choice. Although there is no legitimate religious book for this particular religion one is currently in the works, which covers the ancient history of their descendants and offers insight into certain beliefs pertaining to vanity and partial emptiness. When completed the tome of poetry will be stored in the Invernus region's largest cave for those within the clan to see.
