==History==

The Gisera clan was founded by a kin'toni who was exiled from his previous clan, the [[Kuvesim Kin'toni Clan]] clan, because of something that he was wrongly accused and convicted of; so, in an attempt to forget about his troubled abandonment and upbringing, he decided to dedicate his night to turning zu'aan and teaching them everything he knows, essentially taking them in as his own and raising them. Eldwer Iaen, as his former clanmates knew him by, decided to give himself an alternate nickname, hereby calling himself 'Yldyr' and going through the next phase of his life.

Within the next couple of centuries, he was able to turn more than zu'aan, and within another century his population grew to more than ten thousand. Which essentially led to his clan's Golden Age, which transpired in 4E 93. The Gisera kin'toni Clan lived through the fifty years of the Shattering by hiding in old bunkers light by gas lamps, for the bunkers were very dark. Many of them lived in nearby caves and ruins. In time, the food in the place around ran out and they turned to cannibalism. Only two thousand of the ten thousand who entered lived through the Shattering.

After the War of the Shattering ended Eldwer, being old, decided to hold a clan-wide election to determine his successor, and this election process lasted for roughly several years. In the end, he appointed one of his loyal subjects, a kin'toni named Ryzynao Ba'naal, as his successor, but immediately after declaring his successor, he suddenly began to suffer from cardiac arrest and immediately collapsed to the ground. His successor Ryzynao, who rushed by his predecessor's side, asked his clan founder for a wish as far as where he would like to be buried.

After a wish by the dying Eldwer was made, successor Ryzynao granted his wish as his fellow kin'toni carried him to his burial place and made a tomb and casket for him there. To this very day kin'toni in this clan look at this burial site as a site of reconnection and worship, often paying tribute to Iaen in a show of respect. Roughly four years ago an extensive winter ended up affecting the entire region in which this clan lived, and that killed roughly 40 per cent of the clan's current population, which was then at around two thousand, five hundred. Most of the kin'toni who died suffered from starvation and dehydration.

Currently, the clan's population is around four hundred fifty, and since the cold snap, many of the kin'toni in this clan have managed to find ways to look for food in unexpected places. But with a new Ice Age set to grip this region with an extreme cold once again, can this clan manage to survive this onslaught of freezing weather?

==Psychology==

Pragmatic and wise, Gisera kin'toni is a deep thinker who is slow to act. They appreciate everything thing done thoughtfully, and are stubborn and dedicated when they finally do act. They make the most loyal of friends and the most persistent of enemies. Pragmatic and wise, Gisera kin'toni is a deep thinker who is slow to act. They appreciate everything thing done thoughtfully, and are stubborn and dedicated when they finally do act. They make the most loyal of friends and the most persistent of enemies and given that a Gisera kin'toni is generally wise, pragmatic, and calculating.

One can also assume that this ethnicity of kin'toni is unusually patient and believes in being at the right place at the right time for the right reason; however, although this type of kin'toni is slow to anger, he or she normally tries to keep cool by engaging in profitable activities, such as drawing. In some cases, when a Gisera kin'toni is dangerously close to snapping or losing one's temper, he or she will walk away from the potentially violent situation and attempt to get some rest in an attempt to get their bodies to cool off. In some cases, when a Gisera kin'toni.

If dangerously close to snapping or losing one's temper, he or she will walk away from the potentially violent situation and attempt to get some rest in an attempt to get their bodies to cool off. In other words, when a kin'toni in this clan has to let off steam they generally sleep it off or draw inside their cavern walls. The Gisera kin'toni generally associates oneself with spiritual and physical guidance of the self. Turning to things such as herbal medicine to heal wounds sustained while engaging in a certain activity. This kind of kin'toni also knows what is right and what is wrong.

And often explains it through writings and other sorts of literature; subsequently, through persistence and self-respect as well as loyalty, a Gisera kin'toni thinks they can assure oneself a place in the afterlife as a benevolent soul through the vigorous and daily exercise of the mind. Given that, the Gisera kin'toniis is generally regarded within the kin'toni'ati realm of society as one of the most psychologically gifted and interesting clans in Terael, and as a result of that one can say that the Gisera kin'toni has a very high tolerance as well.

Because this kind of kin'toni has a high tolerance this kind of kin'toni is also very persistent and loyal to one's allies and friends and fellow clanmates, and that makes it all the more important for a kin'toni of this kind to work together with others towards a common goal. Given that, and even though most Gisera kin'toni aren't necessarily gifted in the realm of music, the Gisera kin'toni has a lot of potential both mentally and spiritually, often channelling its energy on various things, including art and writing. It is not known why the Gisera kin'toni has such a creative stronghold.

On one's own personal and social life. The Gisera kin'toni, although slightly arrogant, has an easygoing personality, but only among other clanmates.

==Biology==

The Gisera are adapted to the dark, cold, windy [[Wytal Boreal Forest]]. They are broad, compact and low slung of build. They are adapted to have the maxim volume for internal organ protection and insulation against the harsh cold. The downside of this is that they have less in the way of speed and agility in wide open space chases. Their skin is tough, thick, and white in color. They have an double-layered coat of thick, shaggy, white fur on their entire bodies.This fur gives superb insulation and camouflage in snowy conditions.

In hot conditions, the fur often leads to overheating. The eyes are large and amber colored, with an thick, clear membrane that limits light entry during bright, moon-lit nights. The ears are small, with heavy fur, and positioned low on the head. This is to lower surface area exposed to wind and cold as to avoid frostbite. The noses has adaptions to find prey, even under snow or permafrost. This is done by an enhanced, internal sensory gland that detects minute geosmin concentrations. The teeth are heavily reinforced with an iron deposit in the enamel.

The teeth are wedge shaped for biting though frozen flesh and the dense bone of carcasses. The teeth are less able to make clean, quick punctures in live prey. Claws are short, thick and highly durable, for chipping though ice and frozen earth to find hibernating prey. The claws are dulled rapidly by this, making them bad for climbing or as weapons for combat. The feet and limb bones are adapted to be lighter and flexible at the joints, so they can have quiet movement across shifting snow and uneven forest floors.

The downside of this that their bones are fragile against hard blunt force impacts. Their feet are densely furred, wide and with an spring-like joint mechanism that distributes weight and dampens noise. These two factors lead to almost completely silent movement over crusty snow. The blood vessels are able to rapidly constrict, allowing them to make an insulating barrier beneath the skin surface. This lowers heat loss in under zero temps, but makes them easily able to overheat in water environments.

Feet have specialized pads for detecting low-frequency vibrations passing through frozen ground. This means they can track the movements of heavy animals. Downside of this is that the vibrations of large loud percussive sounds can overwhelm it. In the liver, there are are glands that produce a few types of specialized, complex lipids that act as high-efficiency fuel storage. The lipids are stored in large sacs in the torso, and allow them function for long periods between large winter feeds. To produce this lipids, they have to eat the fat and marrow with every blood meal.

For communication, Gisera use high-pitched, piercing whistles that carry long distances though the air. They are able to slow their breathing and heart rate to near-dormancy in order to conserve heat and vanish in the snow, but it leaves them slow to react if they are found. They are also able to go into an deeper torpor state to save on food, by fattening up and then hibernating. The heart rate and breathing slows even deeper then in their hiding state. If they are found in this state, they are helpless.

==Culture==

They all wore black robes and live in the depths of the woods and small wooden houses. Although many would assume that these kin'toni live secluded in the depths of the woods and reside in abandoned wooden houses others would suggest that they are comfortable where they are, with most of the Gisera clan admitting that this has been their home for as long as they have been a clan. Generally speaking, most of the Gisera clan considers the trees and their roots as their spirit relatives, their bloodline. Some don't realize it when studying this clan or notice it right off hand.

But after studying the clan for at least a couple of days it is clear to see why they are such a reclusive clan, to begin with. They have lost most of their own in battle while trying to fend off their enemies. What is most interesting about the Gisera clan is that they often sing in one tone acapella like a Gregorian chant crew when they gather in their masses during worship time in their cave. They almost always demonize their rivals in such a way as to hide from them and survey them. With a new Ice Age set to grip this forest region again with freezing weather and extremely cold temperatures.

The Gisera clan are doing everything they can to prepare, going as far as to make their protective clothing for in case it gets cold; in addition, they make their clothing from the fabric that they smuggle to their region from other places. The Gisera clan has a unique quality about them when they gather for worship, especially when they share stories about their past; in some cases, the strongest kin'toni in the clan (in this case, the leader of the clan's government) will share his past with his community of fellow Giseraans and try to explain his or her plan for a prosperous future.

Given that, all are allowed to tell stories inside the cave, and these stories are often told while a candle is lit in the middle of the gathering. During the worship ceremony, everyone will get an opportunity to tour the massive cave as the leader of the clan tells stories of his or her own about what these particular drawings mean to him or her. But for the most part, though, these gatherings inside the cave generally occur once every few weeks, with a mass being held once every three meetings. However, when a mass is held at every third meeting.

An entire population of Gisera clanmates will participate in the ritual through an interpretive dance routine, with a few musicians in the clan using custom-made drumsticks and mallets to bang on the cavern walls and floor. When the dance comes to an end, they then go outside to build a bonfire and dance around it; this is their way of paying tribute to their clan founder, as it embodies what they believe the kin'toni'ati spirit represents.

==Government==

The Supreme Giseraan, which rules over the clan as a whole, has a council that consists of eleven Elites that must answer to him, and the Elites, who often accompany the Supreme Giseraan in searching for invaders and intruders and such, are responsible for cornering and killing any kin'toni that the Supreme Giseraan deems as inferior or an infidel, and that includes anyone that dares to question the Supreme Giseraan. The election process is very simple for the Supreme Giseraan. He scoured his territorial region in search of those who are strong of body, mind, and spirit.

And those that he deems to be fit enough to serve as one of his Elites shall be granted the responsibility of accompanying him on various missions and hunts. In and around the region and sometimes, in some such cases, beyond these parameters. The leader has a huge old throne made of the wood of the biggest and oldest tree from the woods. Their leader watches everyone and everything that happens in the woodland. He has spies to tell him what those he rules over are planning to do if any of them plans to come against him to challenge him.

Once his eleven-kin'toni Council of Elites is complete, he will designate them as leaders of the Giseraan Army, which is referred to in their native language as the Kaa'rla Fu'maiara, even so, each of the eleven Elites' responsibilities is very determinable in deciding which Elites will stay in the Supreme Giseraan's Council and which ones end up getting crossed out. If an Elite is discovered to have committed things that are considered by the Supreme Giseraan to be illegal or immoral and untrustworthy they will be tried by the Supreme Giseraan and the other Elites will serve as the jury.

If convicted, the accused will be kicked out of the clan's government and be forced to live independently although the accused will still be a part of the clan. The only way that the accused can reclaim a part of the Supreme Giseraan's Council after being convicted of an immoral or illegal act is if they can make up for it by going on a journey to do a series of good deeds for each of the Elites; once that is done to the Supreme Giseraan's satisfaction. The Council will then hold a reinitiation ceremony for the rejoined and formerly accused, which is led and commenced by the Supreme Giseraan.

After the ceremony, the formerly accused will then regain access to all of the initial benefits that he or she got before the initial conviction. The accused will then be regranted his or her place in the Council of Elites. Their clan allies try to visit them every once in a blue moon to attempt to communicate with them, and sometimes the Gisera clan can communicate their thoughts to their allies, often admitting to them that they like being alone in the forest where nobody can find them; however, although they interact with their allies well.

==Military==

This particular clan has a distinct army made up of over half of the clan's population; this military, which is referred to by the Giseraans as the Giseraan Army, is ruled and presided over by the eleven Elites that consist of the Supreme Giseraan's Council. It was founded during the Shattering by the clan's founder, Eldwer Iaen, and anyone that was a member of the clan was also a member of their clan's Giseraan army; for many centuries leading up to Iaen's death, this was considered standard that all kin'toni of all ages be automatically initiated into the clan's Giseraan Army.

But after Iaen named his successor and especially after his death, the Giseraan Army was refounded. Not too long after the restriction was put into place, Iaen's initial successor assembled with a custom-made obstacle course that involved the skills of dexterity, sprinting, crawling, and jumping. Although those that were able to complete the obstacle course in a given amount of time were initiated into the Giseraan Army most have speculated that this obstacle course is one of the most arduous designs. For that very reason, this standard of practice involves an obstacle course.

Such skills have continued to prove useful to the Giseraan Army's leaders and enforcers. t has since undergone several revisions to change it each time it got too easy. The initiation process begins precisely two years after a zu'aan is turned into a Giseraan kin'toni. Once a kin'toni in this clan has been given two years to transform from a zu'aan to the present state they are allowed to enlist in this clan's military, at which point they would be given up to three months to practice for the obstacle course that awaits them. Once they have practised enough to take on the obstacle course.

They will be given several chances to complete the obstacle course within a given amount of time to be determined by the Supreme Giseraan. If they are unable to complete the obstacle course in the given amount of time determined by the Supreme Giseraan they will not be able to try the obstacle course again for another five years. If after five years they attempt the obstacle course and manage to complete said obstacle course in the given amount of time determined by the Supreme Giseraan and to his and the Council's satisfaction, the enlistee will then be initiated into the Giseraan Army.

And must then report to the military base in the largest cave in the forest the following night. A fledgling in this clan's military can rise the ranks and even become a guardian of the Council of Elites if their willpower and determination and self-discipline are sufficient enough; however, they are not immune to demotions or penalties. As any violation of the Giseraan Army's code of conduct amounts to a day spent in the shades, where they must stand in the forest all day being the Supreme Giseraan's eyes and ear

==Religion==

Their religion of choice is called Astralism, this religion is rather new. Astralism is the existence of their clan founder's spirit as it travels both throughout the known and unknown cosmic plane. Astralism is a strange religion as most of the kin'toni in the Giseraan clan are generally devout in their religion of choice, although a very small minority of the clan population choose to be atheists. Because of the Giseraan kin'toni's choice of Astralism as their religion, it is hard to determine whether or not they believe that their spiritual selves are a part of them.

Especially when one considers the complex structure of this religion. After a serious accident caused Eldwer Iaen's vision to fail him, he eventually decided to convert to Astralism, choosing the belief in a spiritual self that could travel the cosmos as compared to the previous religion he aligned himself with. The concept of Astralism is quite complicated. For one to be considered an Astralist one would have to believe in the theory of an afterlife wandering the universe through their inner selves, or spirits. Through this theory, one can choose to become one with the universe and praise its creator.

Who the Gisera clan refer to as Az'wyr, or the Wise One. Some say that this particular form of Astralism is, according to most kin'toni of this clan. There are several different ways that a spirit is thought of being able to reach the end of its cosmic journey: first of all, if a spirit has led a good enough life on Terael and was loyal to his or her elders, it would most likely enter a dimension of peace and tranquillity, where one can essentially be at solace with oneself all day and night without any worry. The second of these endings to a spirit's cosmic journey could be that of the spirit.

Ends up in a dimension, that is full of darkness, where one cannot see and everything is foggy and constantly getting worse; this results when a spirit has not proven itself to be loyal to its elders in life on Terael and always ended up in trouble with said elders or caused trouble to everything and everyone else. The last of these endings is a result when a spirit that lived as a kin'toni on Terael in a past life has done neither bad nor good, choose to live as a neutral, a nomad, and a self-reliant spirit; this results in the spirit entering a dimension that is neither good nor bad.

Where everything is full of contradictions and every part of the dimension is a double standard. In time the spirit eventually realizes its ultimate goal. One does not truly know for sure if such a religion is real, but since Astralism is such a popular religion amongst Gisera kin'toni and some other clans, it's no surprise to anyone that it is quickly catching on.

==Miscellany==

When Giseraan kin'toni draw they usually draw with a custom-made marker that they make out of scratch, with their blood serving as the ink; generally speaking, their cave drawings are a form of blood art because it is made out of (their own) blood. Once one starts to think of an idea the first thing that a Giseraan kin'toni will do is sink their fangs into their right or left arm and then let go as the blood slowly spills out of their arm, and that's after they have constructed their marker from scratch. From there they will then get a container from the forest.

And let their arms bleed into the small container before the wound heals up; usually, this only takes a few hours. The typical Giseraan kin'toni painting is generally complex and thin in outlining because a kin'toni in this aforementioned clan uses a slightly thinner-than-usual paintbrush. For that reason alone the painting could usually take all night to complete, but by the time it is finished the wound will heal up. Sometimes when the painting needs time to dry off the kin'toni responsible for drawing the painting will usually leave the cave to search for food if it is still dark out.

After a while, the kin'toni will come back into the cave, and by the time he walks back into the cave the painting will have dried out, thus creating something that most clans would call both morbid and magnificent at the same time. A small minority of Giseraan kin'toni are also gifted in the realm of music. Some can even build and play instruments. For example, a popular and well known Giseraan of modernity is a kin'toni of the name Ze'byryn Da-kaa'ru. He spends his nights making instruments for his clan. Ze'byryn is well known for his microtonal melodies, which may range in between several different octaves.

One of his more traditional instruments, the Wnzayik, is a piano-like instrument with many different keys, both in sharps and flats. He was seen by the Supreme Giseraan as he overheard Ze'byryn playing his Wnzayik in his cave and it is said that the Supreme Giseraan once ordered him to play in front of the Council of Elites because his instrument technique was so unique and original; after performing in front of the Council, the Supreme Giseraan was so impressed that he decided to name Ze'byryn the Council's official musical instrument maker and tester.

Another important bit of information that is not very often considered as it pertains to the Gisera clan is that most Giseraan kin'toni is turned with an enhanced and advanced sense of smell. But with a new Ice Age approaching their advanced sense of smell could soon be their biggest weakness of all.
