==History==

Since the beginning of their inhabitancy of the [[Winnash Sandy Plains]], the Ghaz people have always portrayed themselves as being extremely powerful and dominating, as well as a very successful group, for they managed to turn the Winnash Sandy Plains into a hustling and bustling city, filled with international markets and plenty of houses and residential areas, as well as shops, clubs, bars, markets, and so much more. Overall, the capital – the city of Zygo – had been one that had evolved over many years to reach the stage it was now, and even be the hub of a nation that had managed to spread its influence on many other nearby regions, forming colonies and conquering new lands.

One of these nations includes those that resided in the mesa biome that was nearby, which consisted of the Cheaid’y people and the Inekim people. Using their powerful, mighty military forces, the Ghaz people managed to force themselves into the region and take away a lot of the land, claiming them as their colonies. This caused severe conflict at first, particularly for the Cheaid’y people who were not expecting to face such an altercation with a nearby nation. Furthermore, the Cheaid’y people were not the strongest in terms of combat, so were easily brought down and forced to become a colony.

After many decades, however, some signs of recovery could be seen as the Cheaid’y people chose to increase their trading at ports with foreign merchants due to their access to the Denytur Mesa Shield Lake. As for the Inekim people, their land tended to be very barren and due to the climate agriculture was very difficult, so the residents had to search for other methods that would aid the economy. Additionally, the Inekim people tended to be more against the idea of being colonised and tended to be more aggressive as well as rebellious, but for a formidable force like the Ghaz people, this was not enough.

Eventually, however reluctantly, the Inekim people submitted to the rule of the Ghaz people, joining their collection of colonies and being forced to cope with new harsh regulations that had been set. Another severe impact that the Ghaz people had on the Inekim people was causing further divide, by making it so that the Hendar Mesa Mountains became part of a group called the Geyd people. This then caused severe conflict where the Inekim people did not accept the Geyd people to be legitimate and therefore made attempts to restrict it from expanding, which they were sometimes successful in doing but often at times failed miserably.

Meanwhile, the Ghaz people started to shift their involvement in these conflicts away and cause all three nations – the Cheaid’y, Inekim, and Geyd – to war with each other, each state being foolish enough to blame to other for any troubles and start battles. To this day, the Ghaz people still stand mighty and strong, even as kin’toni, whilst those that they managed to would prevent themselves from rising above their colonisers by fighting amongst themselves.

==Psychology==

The people of the Winnash Sandy Plains were portrayed as being very joyful about their living conditions, with many enjoying each other’s company despite being in such an empty, barren land. Then, when Spiridor Abdil had a goal, the Ghaz people were inspired, as well as determined, and really wanted to let their society grow and become stronger and stronger – more and more dominant. Now motivated, all the residents worked alongside those who were proficient in their trade and at the top of the hierarchy to make consistent improvements and alterations to their previous way of life, leading the Ghaz people to reach the levels of advancement they are at today.

This process is continuous and still takes place to this day, with many coming from foreign nations to work in the Winnash Sandy Plains due to the opportunities and prospects found within it. Soon, the once quiet community were forced to adapt to a new environment of hustle and bustle, full of people migrating in and out of the region – especially merchants bringing in their products – and workers toiling away, resolute on their actions to improve the home of the Ghaz people.

For the residents of the Winnash Sandy Plains, there is also a sense of pride since the inhabitants feel that they are god-gifted and also very special, due to their capabilities of being able to make such a barren, empty, dull location into what it is in this present day – a hustling, bustling nation with many cities and towns, all linked together and working to become better and better and control large areas of Taerel outside their original region.
It can also be observed how the Ghaz people have managed to gain peace of mind through religion despite the busyness of their lives.

As they feel as though whatever happens to them is due to their beliefs in Enas or Him giving them a sign so that they can become better people. From many holy scriptures, the Ghaz people learnt how they should treat people and it is said that they should be very charitable, although it can be observed that not everyone chooses to be, and some are in fact very stingy and prideful – especially the wealthier people. Otherwise, the poorer members of the Ghaz people tend to be very caring and courteous individuals, who despite having so little still choose to give away and provide hospitality.

However, it is very rare to find people who are poor, and often the attitudes towards them by the rich are the fact that they likely get themselves into such a position through bad habits like drinking and gambling. In reality, many of those in poverty were just migrants who were unable to cope with the finances of the Ghaz people and hence fell down to such a state, especially since many foreigners found themselves paying high taxes or being unable to afford the high prices of basic goods like food and drink or even the rent for a house.

==Culture==

One of the biggest influences on the culture of the Ghaz people is religion, as they take their beliefs in Enas very seriously. The first most observable factor is the fact that in every neighbourhood or local area a temple can be found where believers are able to go and worship Enas – these buildings tended to be very large and well-built, and within poorer places, it can be seen how much more effort, money and resources had been put into their construction than its surroundings.

Whilst its original purpose was for the faith of the people, it could be argued that the extravagance of these temples was also intended to benefit the Abdil family, since it showed how religious they were as well as powerful due to the fact that they would take so much care in the building of these structures. Additionally, festivals were another tradition and became very popular to commemorate the divinity, with religious leaders also being able to work out auspicious times and hence when it would be the greatest opportunity to offer prayers.

The religious leaders would wear some of the richest clothing in the whole of the Winnash Sandy Plains, which would consist of expensive fabrics like silk that would be dyed golden or infused with saffron, and also sown together into an outfit using costly golden thread. Sermons and services were also usually very popular, where readings of holy scriptures would take place that would cause people to be more inquisitive and thoughtful, leading to the fact that there were many philosophers in the region who became very famous and started their own schools of teaching.

In relation to schools, there were also plenty of educational facilities made by the Ghaz people which meant that their population was extremely intelligent and could go on to have careers in science and jobs involving advanced mathematics. There were also many other jobs that would be taken such as investing and trading as the Ghaz people became more and more globalised, with the residents of the Winnash Sandy Plains being a part of the hustle and bustle that kept the nation alive. At the many markets all across the land, foreign traders would be able to come and import their goods or those who owned a section of land in the many colonies the Ghaz people had across Taerel could come to the central hub – the Winnash Sandy Plains – and sell their supplies for a profit.

Additionally, many goods from the Winnash Sandy Plains could also be exported and sold for a profit, such as glass and other products like food and drink. Relating to food, the Ghaz people would often consume dishes from many cultures since they were able to have access to them due to the relations the Abdil family had with other rulers, As for drinks, juices were very common beverages and proved to be very refreshing against hot climates, and it was believed that it was very rare to find alcohol since it was heavily disliked by the Ghaz people due to its intoxicating nature.

==Government==

Within the Winnash Sandy Plains, leadership could be argued to be the single most important factor in the success of the Ghaz people. Starting off as a small community in the Winnash Sandy Plains, an individual called Spiridor Abdil felt that there would be a way to make such a barren environment into a thriving land, and went to work bringing together many people who could help him achieve this goal: these ranged from skilled merchants, traders, financial advisors, politicians, soldiers, generals, farmers, architects, engineers and much more, all of whom would be the most proficient in their trade.

All working alongside each other, these people were able to help Spiridor Abdil in achieving his aim, and soon the blueprint was made and there were the foundations of a new age for the Ghaz people – one where they would be prosperous and thrive, as well as become one of the strongest nations in Taerel. In all aspects, the Ghaz people were able to thrive since architects worked with engineers to create useful systems that allowed society to function, whilst politicians could work on social aspects and form relations with foreign nations.

Meanwhile, merchants and traders, as well as advisors, could work in unison to aid the finances of the nation. With Spiridor Abdil in power, he chose to form a council and begin a dynasty of the Abdil family, whose descendants would rule for many decades and possibly centuries, although the lineage has gone through many issues in the past, so it is likely that the link has been broken. The most common issues were uprisings, where many made an attempt to challenge rulers at the time through protests and in some cases violent riots. Furthermore, there was a desire by groups to have the ability to vote in leaders rather than have rulers based on the dynasty system, so many would join together and try to bring down the Abdil family.

However, most of these were unsuccessful, and the Abdil family showed how they would not tolerate such actions, punishing those who were incarcerated for treason by public torturing and then execution, using them as examples to others who dared challenge them, and ultimately as a form of retribution that put them in power for such a long period of time. Despite many being against their rule, the Abdil family were able to let the region be prosperous, for they took many actions that benefitted the Ghaz people, such as by making it so that those who worshipped Enas (the most commonly worshipped deity in the region).

Would have to pay very small tax so long as they were citizens and had also not committed any crimes – this put many off of doing anything bad or against the rulers. Furthermore, their colonisation of many foreign lands meant that residing in the Winnash Sandy Plains could have access to resources from many other places in Taerel, and the formation of alliances with other nations allowed for the Ghaz people to feel a sense of security – rulers of other nations could also request to form a treaty with the Abdil family and therefore receive protection.

Therefore, the Abdil family were rulers that ultimately made the Ghaz people more connected with the other places in Taerel.

==Military==

Since the beginning of its inhabitancy, the Winnash Sandy Plains has always had a strong and almost unstoppable military force. The Ghaz people were known for their heavy emphasis on making sure that their armed forces were the greatest, and it could be argued that the Ghaz military was one of the greatest in the world of Taerel due to how many members there are and the influence they have. Troops would have a variety of uniforms depending on where they had been deployed so that they would be able to easily camouflage with the environment they were in.

However, the uniform of the soldiers who were within the Winnash Sandy Plains would have coats and trousers that were a tanned, sand-like colour, with a cap that would have a badge representing the many ranks in the hierarchy of the military forces of the Ghaz people. As for weaponry, the Ghaz people had managed to trade with foreign nations and gain access to a myriad of weapons of the best quality, made using metals that would be scarce or could not even be found in the Winnash Sandy Plains; the same could be said for armour, which would then be customised in the Winnash Sandy Plains to fit the needs of the Ghaz forces as well as personalise it to them.

However, in order to become a part of this strong force, it was required to go through rigorous testing and then training. The initial test would eliminate many members, which often involved tests that were both physical and mental. Those who passed would be able to go onto the second round where they would then be given two choices – they could either do a booster course where they would constantly be assessed but then they could become an army member quicker or go through intensive training for many months and then slowly but surely become a member of the forces.

The former was known to be extremely difficult and was known to break the minds and bodies of many, whilst the latter was often preferable, but still difficult. Passing this second round would be an impressive feat and could garner the respect of many, and ultimately most troops would fit into this category. However, there was also an extra stage, which could be applied for and was necessary for getting experience in different fields and becoming specialists; for instance, those who wanted to be trained in using pyrotechnics could do a special course where they could learn how to make explosives using different chemicals and oils.

It can also be noted how the Ghaz military managed to gain so much strength due to the expanse of their ruling over many colonies that they had formed across Taerel, giving them access to many different biomes and hence a myriad of options for resources that would not be native to the Winnash Sandy Plains. An example of this includes how the Cheaid’y people and the Inekim people were colonised – nations that were very close to the Ghaz people geographically. The Ghaz people also formed alliances with many nations so would be able to become more powerful by working alongside the forces of other foreign nations.

==Religion==

For the Ghaz people, faith is one of their most important factors in their society, and this can be seen particularly by how many cultural features and traditions relate to religion. The most accepted faith of the Ghaz people is one that is monotheistic, and worships a god called Enas. It was said that due to the Ghaz people being lower than divinities, they would be unable to see Enas without being destroyed due to his omnipotence, and hence He is said to be in the place after death, where only the spiritual form of the Ghaz people would go that could survive such power.

Yet, many still believe that the lives they live are signs of the existence of Enas, for only such a godly being could be possible of creating everything and that Taerel did not come into existence by chance. Enas was defined as being the only word to describe Him, and that His name could not be translated into any language within Taerel because it is so divine, although some managed to come up with terms that describe certain properties He had, such as Him being the most-just, most-merciful, omnibenevolent, omnipotent, immanent, transcendent, and much more.

To worship Enas, the Ghaz people would carry out ritual prayers and elect religious leaders who would lead this, although these forms of worship were only common for liturgical worship where readings of holy texts and sermons would also take place. As for non-liturgical worship, there would be singing and dancing as well as shrines made to commemorate Enas, although many saw this as blasphemous and decided to separate these believers into a different denomination, who faced severe persecution for their beliefs. Many conflicts would take place and hence this denomination was in a small minority – close to a percent.

And even local governments were shameful of them, allowing those who pleased to inflict harm on those who dared have such beliefs. Hence, visiting temples and reading the official holy texts as well as offering prayers were seen as the way to worship Enas. However, there were also many other faiths that were followed by foreigners that had migrated into the region. Therefore, the places of worship for many other faiths can be found within the Winnash Sandy Plains and believers were allowed to freely practise their beliefs, with their festivals even becoming more traditional to the Ghaz people and celebrated throughout the year.

Eventually, there was still an issue, which was the fact that those who worshipped Enas found it unfair that disbelievers were allowed to live in the Winnash Sandy Plains so would do the same they did with the smaller denomination of Enas’ believers. To handle the possibility of increased tensions and a possible civil war, the leadership of the Ghaz people chose to implement a tax that had to be paid by disbelievers if they hoped to stay protected from any radicals, which would normally be at about ten percent of earnings. Additionally, this law would also mean that radicals were punishable, but this did not stop these crimes from taking place.
