==History==

Lor'tanu never really thought much about her life as a zu'aan, but when she founded the Falyir clan with a group of other kin'toni she was destined to make something great of the clan, so in the year 4E 21, she and her group moved to a forest-like plateau region known as Balataeuai, where she would then form her clan's government and designate various people in her group to lead the Falyir clan's military, church, architecture and financial sectors. She then discovered that the region she moved to had been previously inhabited by a now-extinct clan known as the Wyrosdao clan.

Over the next nine thousand years, she and her government officials ruled over the clan and disciplined its inhabitants with honesty, determination, heart and tough love. What the Falyir government said went, and thus the Falyir kin'toni were obliged to abide by their rules. A key example of this was the Battle of Red Night, which took place close to the middle point of the Shattering. Lor'tanu insisted that her clan's military go forth and defend their land from invaders, but when her military commanders refused for history's sake she replaced them with a group of military leaders.

That we're not afraid to lead the charge, which might explain the clan's surprising victory over the much-larger Aw'drai army, which did come with the price of Lor'tanu, who died fighting in the battle. When it was discovered that Lor'tanu wasn't able to name a successor before her death the Falyir government held an open forum debate to determine who would be her successor. In the end, after many kin'toni came forward to prove their worthiness of leadership in vain, one fortunate up and comer of the name Zirna'al Kasha-da stepped up to propose a campaign to build a bigger military.

At which point the government was essentially won over. After a determined Kasha-da gave his seven-minute speech he was almost immediately appointed to serve as the next Falyir clan leader, and the plan to build a bigger army was set in stone and took effect right then and there. Today the Falyir clan are among one of the most populous kin'toni clans in the part of the world they are in, but their military is only a third of its past peak size. The reason for this is simple: in the year 4E 219, the Falyir clan's region experienced one of the hottest summers in recorded history.

Many died from a lack of water and heat exhaustion while others scrambled to find a safe cave to hide in. Eventually, the heat would subside and the cold weather would soon come in, but by that time it was already too late, as roughly seventy per cent of the clan had been presumed dead or missing as a result of the sandstorms that transpired during this hot summer. However, the clan is optimistic that they will thrive moving forward.

==Psychology==

It does not take much motivation to inspire a Falyir kin'toni to work his or her best. A typical Falyir kin'toni is often inspired by many things, including the beauty of nature, the sea, and certain kinds of land and sea animals, and that is where they become filled with determination to be at their best every day. How a Falyir kin'toni function is quite complicated, however, for sometimes a Falyir kin'toni has been known to have a somewhat pessimistic outlook on things in addition to their optimism because, according to them, you can look at something one way and not look.

At that same thing the other way. When it is discovered that a Falyir kin'toni has failed at a certain task he or she will often think about what went wrong for a moment and deliberate over what should be changed in their approach before trying again; needless to say, they don't believe that giving up is an option and that giving up on something is indeed the true failure. The typical Falyir kin'toni does whatever it takes to get it right, even if one has to try many different times to get it right or succeed at something, and the Falyir kin'toni has a lot to gain in having this particular mindset.

Especially considering one's mindset and mentality. Because the Falyir clan no longer has a government that controls and governs itself Falyir kin'toni are finding it somewhat difficult to adjust and adapt to a sans-government life; however, they all work together as individuals and are often considered by each other as a part of themselves, meaning that they rely on each other and work together with one another on a common goal or set of goals to survive. A kin'toni in this clan needs to be independent and live freely, according to most Falyir kin'toni.

Because self-reliance and alliance building is what keep this clan going day in and night out. Like always, they typically meet the Tiess clan every three years and come as an entire population to discuss with them the future of their alliance. They have also, since disbanding and dissolving its government, become more determined to speak their minds individually now more than ever before in their history, but they almost always let courtesy greet them, often giving the leaders of the Tiess clan a chance to speak before they allow themselves to speak again.

Given that, a typical Falyir kin'toni is not one to shy away from engaging in conversation with his own or other kin'toni, but given that they (the Falyir kin'toni) are now more outspoken than ever they seem to have an immaculate memory on almost everything that is said, making them quite nosy and somewhat hard to handle at times.

==Biology==

The Falyir are adapted to the high-altitude, rocky and windy [[Tului Plateau]]. They are stocky, dense, and barrel-chested of build. They have an build to have maximum organ protection and internal thermal mass. This is to be able resist the cold and powerful high-altitude winds. Due to this, they are poor swimmers and slow runners. Their skin is extremely thick and leathery, and is deep slate-grey in color. It is adapted to protect from abrasive rock. The hair is patches of dark, coarse fur, on the shoulders, back and the crown on the head.

It is an adaption to protect from head loss and to some degree, frostbite. It means they are prone to overheating in warmer environments. The eyes are deep set, small and with an heavy orbital ridge. They are dark grey in color. The eyes are adapted to be protected from the wind, but with an reduction in exposed surface area that limits their peripheral vision. The ears are small and close to the skull, as to lower risk of frostbite from high winds. The downside of this is that they have an lesser ability to localize subtle, low-volume sounds.

The nose has complex, elongated nasial passages that act as an natural heat exchange to warm the cold and thin inhaled air before it reaches the lungs. Teeth are adapted as thick, blocky molars, as they are adapted to crushing hard exoskeletons. The canines are short and fine, adapted for draining the blood from small lifeforms. Claws are short, robust, and spade-shaped. These claws are adapted for quickly digging shallow dens into frozen or rocky ground. The claws are dull enough to be bad close combat weapons.

Legs are short and powerful, with feet that are wide and sturdy. These feet off superb purchase and stability on uneven, rocky, and inclined surfaces. On flat ground, they are slow and awkward. On their feet, they have specialized sensory pads for detecting detect low-frequency seismic vibrations. This means that they can sense distant movement. The circulatory system has evolved so it can move blood from extremities to the core in freezing conditions, protecting major organs. The downside of this is being prone to frostbite in fingers, toes and other extremities.

The blood has oxygen-binding proteins to use the limited oxygen available in the thin high-altitude air. Their bones are very dense and heavy, to act as ballast against strong winds. These bones also allow them to have much better structural integrity against falls on rocky terrain. The downside of this is that their bones are too heavy for them to swim or climb things more fragile than rocks. They have an unusual adaption that rate to generate internal heat to resist the continuous cold. This means they have to hunt and consume blood more frequently than most other kin'toni clans.

This leads to an biological imperative to come down to the lower lands to hunt large prey. They can store store energy primarily as glycogen in dense muscle tissue rather than fat. This allows them to have quick, anaerobic power bursts in low-oxygen environments. The downside of this is that it is depleted rapidly, and they soon tire.

==Culture==

The Falyir kin'toni structure their culture around their theologies as well as their military, which, needless to say, is a structure in which was made by the Falyir kin'toni themselves to prove that they are the superior kin'toni'ati clan, that they are better than any other kind of kin'toni. This enormous hubris and great pride have led to some very interesting but inescapable scenarios for the Falyir kin'toni in the past, and at one point in their history their unwillingness to surrender when they were on the losing end of it all nearly led to their extinction; however, they have won battles in the past.

They often make all kinds of obstacles courses for themselves using whatever they have in an attempt to distinguish themselves from other clans. The Falyir kin'toni also have a habit of playing interesting games with one another, and these games have served as this clan's particular pastime. Because this is true, one might suggest that most Falyir kin'toni like to test their strength and stability a lot, so in some cases when a group of Falyir kin'toni are bored they will typically try to play a balancing game where two stones serve as distant edges and a long but thin log is placed on top.

The log is placed on top of the two cinderblock-like stones while a ramp is set up to allow a certain Falyir kin'toni to try one's luck on attempting to make it to the other end without falling. The first to fall while trying to get to the other end is designated as the one to scavenge for food for the night. Most Falyir kin'toni also like to race one another, especially when it comes to their flying capabilities and their desires to one-up each other or show off. Typically if one Falyir kin'toni wants to race another Falyir kin'toni in a flying sprint across the local sector.

That they happen to be in at that particular time, then a group of Falyir kin'toni will gather on both sides of the local sector that they happen to be in at the time and there will be a designated timer to record the race, at which point the person in charge of the race will typically be an elder. Once the race is complete, whoever comes out to be the winner that finishes the race first will get, at the very most, bragging rights and respect, and the loser will simply recognize his or her loss. There has been known to be cheating in this race and it has been known to turn violent sometimes.

==Government==

Because the Falyir clan is not run by the normal government a simple fact is often overlooked: the Falyir clan is ruled by its military, which consists of a council of five leaders, including a primary commander-in-chief and four local sector corporals who dictate everything that the typical Falyir clan kin'toni has to do to survive on one's own. Typical commands are given by the commander-in-chief of the clan's military and enforced by the four local sector corporals, and all missions are carried out by the local sector leader whose local sector within the region is the largest in the entire region.

All Falyir kin'toni must obey the leaders of their military at all times, especially considering how their first government had dissolved several thousand years ago. The Falyir clan could be considered as a special kind of military dictatorship, but compared to other clans this one is one of the harshest and strictest of all and for that reason, this clan's government is more of a military than it is a council or a parliament. That being said, not many people in this clan fall out of line with the leaders of this clan's military dictator but when they do punishments are often given out of humility and discipline.

To teach those who fail to abide by the rules in which they were given the lesson of which they should not disobey. It is often said that the five entities or figures that rule the clan are savage, In the time that it has taken for this clan to evolve without a governmental parliament to pass and enforce legislation the Falyir kin'toni population have been witness to several different attempts by several so-called "rival" clan governments to take over this clan's dictatorship. But each of these attempts failed as a result of the self-discipline and motivation of the majority of the clan that believes in the dictatorship.

What the military's five main leaders say goes, and these leaders have a low tolerance for disorderly conduct and disobeyers. The leaders of the Falyir military dictatorship encourage retaliation against those that have hurt the clan, and treason along with many other crimes e.g murder and heresy, are punishable by exile or death by crucifixion and that doesn't even count the fact in which loyalty is sometimes rewarded. About ninety per cent of the current Falyir population are loyal to their dictatorship due to a lot of brainwashing and propaganda and the few have gone against the dictatorship's commands, are spirited away in the middle of the night and are locked up and used for hard labour in horrible conditions.

==Military==

The Falyir kin'toni clan's military, which essentially governs and dictates the enforced laws of hospitality, honour, loyalty and the like in the Falyir clan's region of residence, is also a military that's full of kin'toni that come from all walks of life, and as a result, it is suggested that this military is also one of the most bizarre and eccentric in the kin'toni'ati world. New soldiers often are forced into the 'live by the sword, die by the sword' mentality that the vast majority of the Falyir clan consider being just and right, and the leaders of this military also bear the responsibility.

Of carrying out missions to nearby clan regions. The leader in this clan's military is often considered to be the Axlai, the head general. The commander-in-chief often has a strange way of disciplining certain wrongdoings, and he or she also doesn't tolerate lying. If you are caught by the Axlai and lie about the wrongs that you are accused of, the punishment is humiliating and requires a lot of durabilities, something that not many soldiers in the clan's military have, and if the punishment task is not done to the Axlai's satisfaction you will be forced to repeat this task until you can do it.

This is in an efficient enough manner that satisfies the Axle. However, although it is generally suggested that the punishment or consequence of an incorrect action is infra-dig to many of the kin'toni in the Falyir clan, the reward for being loyal, perseverant, dedicated, obedient and ruthless is more than enough to guarantee a reward. Those that are faithful to the leaders of the Falyir Military Empire and do as they are told are often rewarded with an opportunity to travel with them on certain trips, such as meetings with other clan entities on their home turf and, as many of the kin'toni.

This is in this clan hope for every day, an outing with the leader of the clan's military as one hunts for food with the said leader. Another important thing to consider in being a part of the Falyir military is that it is often viewed as being one of the most surprising militias in this part of the world (and, in some cases, one of the most daunting in terms of how much responsibility one is given). The reason why this is the case is that those that aren't prepared to be in the Falyir Military will probably find it hard to do so-called 'regular' tasks that would otherwise be slightly difficult.

To accomplish at first, but once certain tasks are done methodically and systematically any kind of good can be expected, for most don't fully consider the benefits of accomplishing certain tasks.

==Religion==

Several thousand years ago a new religion was created by the Falyir military commander and local sector generals in an attempt to instil some spirituality in the population of Falyir kin'toni; this religion, referred to by the Falyir kin'toni themselves as Xug Pa'qulu (loose translation: Ancient Animal Worship), is the theory that all animals of their early history, some of which have gone extinct, are to be praised and worshipped for their unique and individual appearances. Because this is such a strange religion to most clans the majority of the world claim that Xug Paqulu is nothing more than a lie.

It is said to be a direct attempt to become more like their animalistic ancestors, and the Falyir clan's rivals agree to this conclusion. The concept of this supposedly strange religion is not so simple: in addition to the military-enforced worship of ancient ancestor animals such as the bat-winged being, commonly known as a Zagu, the typical Falyir kin'toni must also drive themselves to become more like another extinct species of animal, the Yulazu, who, surprisingly, was anthropomorphic and rather slender. Part of the reason why this is an order enforced by the Falyir military's leaders is that.

The clan founder once owned a Yulazu, supposedly one of the last ones left in existence. Another noticeable trait of the Falyir kin'toni' spirituality and religious beliefs is their belief in which all animals who are seriously maimed or terminally ill should be put out of their misery and sacrificed in honour of their ancestral animal gods, so once a kin'toni spots a terminally ill or injured animal in their region it is immediately taken to a local veterinarian kin'toni, usually an elder, and after taking up and discovering the issue with the Falyir clan's religious advisor a sacrifice.

Is then ordered by the high priest, who blesses the terminally ill animal and gathers a group of witnesses to bury said animal underground. Now while it is important to note that their belief in the terminally ill or injured having to be put out of their misery to avoid further pain down the road, they also believe that an animal can be cured of certain illnesses, so once the infected animal is spotted by a religious advisor to the clan it is then taken (very carefully, mind you) to the local sector healer kin'toni, who then participates in the blessing of the animal along with the religious advisor.

And then injects a strange serum into the animal. The serum, of course, is believed to be the blood of an ancient, but extinct species of animal whose blood has been preserved over an extended period by many generations of high priests.
