==Geography ==

Geographically, the Belarage Lowland was initially a small and desolate land. There was next to nothing within the lowland, and that caused it to be unappealing to anyone or anything that wanted to live there. While there were things that did live there, many were either skinny, or they knew how to survive. Since there wasn’t a lot that animals could thrive on, even after the river was created, many of them would come and go as they pleased, but many of them wouldn’t stay there as they wouldn’t be able to prosper.

Belarage Lowland was surrounded by rocky plains that would suck the life out of the lowland and would also cause it to be unnaturally hot there. The temperature was always hot, and because of this as well as the lack of proper running water, there wasn’t enough to keep the lowland flourishing.
Since the river was formed by the Essildsul clan, more animals had come from the rocky plains to visit the lowland and to drink from the river. This brought more organisms that were able to help grow the grass and add other plants there.

Some of the animals that would come there had defecated and left seeds there for plants to grow in various places. Because of these seeds, there were new plants that had produced berries for other animals to eat. As this happened, the seeds were spread and the plants began to pop up in other places, allowing for more animals to come to the lowlands. As there were more and more plants and trees that grew in the lowland, the land there had begun to truly prosper as it was now more able to nourish any life that decided to make its home there.

The berries that were found there attracted many different species in from the rocky plains surrounding Belarage Lowland, and while many of them didn’t make their home there, they would venture back so that they would be able to enjoy some more fresh berries. Along side the animals that came for the berries, there were the predators of those animals that would follow them in off the rocky plains in hopes that they would be able to catch their next meal. The lowland began to prosper so well that the grass was no longer yellow, the trees were no longer rotting, and the life that had taken hold there for so long was now flourishing and prospering as it should have in the beginning.

This was all thanks to the Essildsul clan, as they had embraced nature and had decided that Belarage Lowland needed some tender love and care. The lowland flourished because of the love and effort that the clan had added to it, and the animals there were grateful for the increase in food for them to enjoy.
While the lowland wasn’t by any means perfect, there was more than enough to go around for each of the inhabitants of the lowland. Many no longer had to worry about their next meal as food was now more readily available to them.

== Plants ==

There were the trees that had always been standing there, and while the trees stood tall, there were no leaves on them, as well as the trees themselves being rotten and soft on the inside, seemingly only standing because of the thick bark that coated them. Once the Essildsul clan had moved to the area, they had built a stream that they had needed to sustain their villages. Eventually there was enough water flowing that the stream had turned into a river that now flowed freely through the lowland. While it was a beautiful stream, it couldn’t sustain enough life until the water flow was great enough to turn the small stream into a flowing river.

Once this happened, the lowland started to receive more than enough water, and the plants there had started to prosper. When animals had come to visit, they had brought seeds with them inside of their bodies. When they defected, they would drop the seeds from the fruits that they had eaten, and those, with a little luck, would grow into fruit bearing plants that would be able to sustain animal life there. The seeds did end up growing small berry bushes that were scattered throughout the lowland, although they were more bountiful towards the sides of the river where there was enough water to keep them healthy.

They were small dark blue berries that were diamond in shape and had a rough skin covering them. They had a sweet seedy center that many animals loved, and they had been names circaberries. This name came from the fact that they seemed so oddly shaped and uniquely delicious. Aside from the berries, the only vegetation that grew here was the grass that filled the lowland. The grass was initially coarse and short, not having a lot of water to help it grow, but once the water began to flow, the grass turned into a beautiful green. After the river had been placed, the grass around the river grew longer and darker, softening the grass so that it wasn’t as coarse.

The grass grew tall along the river, overtaking the banks to hide it from sight although you could clearly tell from looking at the better growing grass that there was a source of water there. The grass was sweet, and it drew more animals to it, as many ate grass as their primary meal, and fresh grown sweet grass was the optimal choice. Sometimes, there were leaves that could be seen growing on some of the trees around the groves that were there. These leaves were usually small and dry, and oddly triangle shaped. The tip of the triangle was what came out of the branch, and it gave the trees an interesting look.

== Animals ==

Since there was next to no water in Belarage Lowland before the Essildsul clan had moved there, there hadn’t been too many animals that were there. Before there was a constant source of running water, any animals that would visit there were just passing through and wouldn’t be looking to stay there for long periods of time. The lack of animals had initially caused the lowland harm as there wasn’t anything eating any of the food there.
However, once the river was reestablished, animals began to pass through in large quantities, and the food supply grew to meet the rising need.

Some of the animals that had been passing through were some large cats, as well as animals that looked like wolves. While these were not the names for them, the clan that had decided to stay there hadn’t named them for quite some time. As they saw the animals that looked like large cats moving through, they had decided to call them kiabels, this to them signified the large cat like animals, and warned them that they should likely go and hide so that they wouldn’t be eaten.The kiabels looked as though they were larger than the kin’toni themselves, although most of this was due to the fact that they would puff up their coarse fur so that they could appear larger.

The kiabels were covered in a deep red fur that had them standing out against the plain beige of the lowlands and made it very easy to spot them coming. They had bright yellow eyes that could spot their prey moving from long distances away. Another unique feature of these cats was that they had webbing between their paws so that they could swim easier in the water. They were not afraid to swim and had actually learned to swim just so that they could have a wider variety of food that they could eat, especially while they were travelling and weren’t near their usual food sources.

The other creatures that often frequented Belarage Lowlands were animals that looked as though they had the head of a wolf and the body of horse. Their heads were elongated and filled with sharp teeth that they could be able to use to fight of predators as well as eat their food thoroughly. While they may look as though they would be the predators, these animals, often referred to as harses were usually the prey where they were concerned. Since they were so small in stature, the harses had a hard time finding food for themselves, as they couldn’t run as fast as the other animals that they usually live around.

While they were omnivores, the harses would choose to eat grass and other foliage as this would be easier for them to get to instead of running after other animals in hopes to catch and eat them. As well, the harses were a natural food source for the kiabels, and since the kiabels had moved to Belarage Lowland, they had driven the harses there as well.
