==History==

The history of the Bel-nyusch tribal zu'aan is extremely simple in premise but does not exist away from all of the reality presented by the world of Taerel during the age it was set in. In the year 4E 413, a group of refugees from a crumbling tribe found themselves lost within the Orhon Thick Ominous Woods; hopeless and without many rations for them to cover the tracks, they settled within it in the same year, living off of simple hunting and gathering with the best of their respective abilities.

The group was small and receptive, often looking for help from zu'aan which passed by, and there were a lot of those. The Orhon Thick Ominous Woods was a hotbed for passing-by zu'aan, be it for scouting troops, refugees, or even simple individuals which decided to take walks around the place; and the Bel-nyusch tribal zu'aan decided to take this to their advantage and for the objective of the tribe, and this was performed mainly through one of the biggest pastimes of the tribe, that being gambling.

The members of the Bel-nyusch tribal zu'aan often partook in small-scale gambling after each did their respective tasks, creating various games that could be recreated with simple obtainable items, such as rocks and sticks, as a means to let luck decide who gets what—often times cycling more important items within their bets, such as food, more durable pieces of clothing, or even better tools. And, as their tribe grew more and more within their undeniable presence in the Orhon Thick Ominous Woods, they began establishing a proper currency which allowed them to turn the bets into something more speculative.

Those zu'aan which often passed by the Orhon Thick Ominous Woods also took some time within the games of the Bel-nyusch, which oftentimes led to quite a pleasant time; though, it wasn't a very profitable time for those other zu'aan which simply passed by the tribe. They often lost most of what they brought with the internalized self-promise to make it all back in a bet.

This is something the Bel-nyusch quickly realized and took great advantage of. As the years passed, these pastime activities began getting institutionalized and taking on the formality of the tribe's functioning as a proper economic sector; something which allowed the creators of the betting games and the people which regularized it to start utilizing the profits made by the now-formalized currency as a means to buy more and more of the tribe's territory. They built properly set-up casinos as a way to bring more attention from the other passing-by zu'aan.

These casinos were built internally with very small details that had the full intention of maximizing profits and the playing time of each zu'aan to guarantee the profits of the individuals which ran it, normalizing a tribe built on a system of gambling and alienation, which was quickly spread out to not only the zu'aan which came from the outside, but also the very members of the tribe who once took the games as simple activities.

==Psychology==

The psychology of the Bel-nyusch allows for quite a fascinating outlook into an interesting perspective of the overall functioning of alienation when proposed on a societal level, something which evolved from a simple pastime practiced on a small scale into something institutionalized as the very scope which bases their society and the style of their government: all around luck. This affects their mental framework into a matter where its base survivalist logic is fully shaped around the idea of luck, translating itself into most of the interactions of the members of the tribe.

Since their society, as has been established, is very much built around the notions which shape the mentality of a gambling player, their mindset has adapted itself deeply to such an existence, which is primarily observed in their relationship to loss, something which most members of the tribe have a heightened immunity towards. This differs them from many other zu'aan and their individual expressions within their own tribes; since for the usual zu'aan something such as the destruction of a landmark may lead to psychological devastation.

The Bel-nyusch often reduce it to something such as a "bust." This seems extremely odd for other passerby members who see their chillingly calm resilience towards any means of loss, almost as if they see it as something fully inevitable, and sometimes even necessary to draw a better hand. Another key concept which shapes the psyche of the Bel-nyusch tribal zu'aan is that of being highly observant and analytical to such a degree that it affects their relationship with just about everyone in their living spaces.

Since living in a society where your neighbor is your opponent has developed a sense within the members of the tribe of hyper-observation, they attempt to read just about any person they talk to. Being experts at remaining extremely suspicious at all times, members of the tribe often try to create analytical contrasts between a member's speech and their body language, be it from small shifts in tone, micro-expressions, or even small nervous tics, which makes things such as lying practically impossible.

In comparison to other zu'aan, the Bel-nyusch are extremely difficult to deceive, but it also makes trust a very rare component of their social bonds. They also developed quite a hyper-calculative mind, something which affects their social and labor functioning in just about everything the members of the tribe do, almost as if their entire set of survival instincts had shifted to what their tribe had institutionalized. This translates itself into a blur of the lines which place a distinction between work and actual bet-playing, making it so they often spend their days calculating odds and potential payouts.

Be it during hunting and gathering, or when actually managing their casino floor, always trying to look for the most optional manner to create loopholes or to rig the actions within their livelihood to their favor, always keeping in their head the logic that if you don't rig it for yourself, someone is going to rig it for themselves, or worse, against you.

==Culture==

The culture developed by the Bel-nyusch tribal zu'aan creates a very interesting contrast, as it developed within its logic a paradox between the underlying decay of the entire world around the tribe due to the effects of the Shattering Age and all of the displayed glamour they try to display within their games and pastimes; which is very clearly displayed with an extremely shiny gambling center placed right within the perpetual shadows created by the Orhon Thick Ominous Woods—something done to such a high extent that this gambling aesthetic shapes the complete lifestyle of the members of the tribe and their culture.

One of the core displays of the contrast the culture of the Bel-nyusch tribal zu'aan has developed is that of basically having an architectural obsession with the ideas of displaying bioluminescent artifices and apparatuses within the gloomy surface provided by the Orhon Thick Ominous Woods; something which creates not only a clear beacon of light amongst the darkness, but also something poetic, which is a thriving and shiny existence against the world's proposed nihilism by the possible consequences of the kin'toni plague.

To guarantee their source of light, the members of the Bel-nyusch tribal zu'aan often take to cultivating a rare set of light-emitting fungi that is then spread amongst walkways, entrances, and signs, favoring any sort of artistic expression that is flashy or brightly garmented, allowing for visual loudness to become not only something unique to the tribe due to its rare nature, but also a statement against the state of the world. Their oral and communicative tradition is also deeply affected by all of the developed metrics around shaping society around betting concepts, although their society is fully made to be a living representation of gambling.

Everyday communication is not only dominated by things simple such as gambling slang inserted within more casual and informal settings, but also the evolution into a vast array of jargons that affect how they see seasons, or the way in which a harvest is declared according to productivity, or in their interpretation of luck; and even things as simple as greetings turn into a somewhat competitive setting, reinforcing much of their psychological alienation into what is naturalized as the image of the ideal player.

Furthermore, and going back into their internal architecture, many things, that may range from the organization of their settlements to the building of their various casinos, oftentimes try to express psychological manipulation into a vast array of tiny details to ensure the "house always wins," something that is seen as crucial to keep outsiders within the scope of the tribe's objectives. Halls are built almost as though they are mazes, with winding, windowless corridors, extremely shiny and attention magnets just about everywhere.

And the removal of any time-marking technology; all designed with the fair objective of making sure the individuals within those casinos lose track of time and the world outside, leaving them more prone to making bad decisions and ensuring the profits of those property owners.

==Government==

The government style of the bel-nysuch tribal zu'aan follows a set structure with acn only be best described by the system developed within corporations and their means to structure control chains, hierarchies where political power is indisguinsuishable from the authority you hold within your placement amongst the forementioned ladder, basically allowing for the bel-nysuch to establish a society which basically gets rid of the notion of citizen and instead replaces the same with the idea of employees.

Allowing the entire tribe to function as a firm, which justifies itself by presenting the idea of a constant fight every individual can fight to climb such ladder. Standing within the summit of their class division is what is formally known and declared as the executive board, which is an extremely small circle of known individuals who are placed with the task of operating the highest level of tribal management, owning a vast majority of all the means which allow the gamblinmg houses to remain functional.

Be it from their territory to individual resources or just a vast amount of the bel-nysuch's currency; they represent the ultimate decision makers and are able to decide resource allocation within a large scale and the external policy of the tribe towards others, often being the ones which place orders with the non transparent objective to turn the betting games into more addicting activities, be it with all the fire lights or the very architecture of the casinos. What follows right below that executive circle is what can be best described as the middle management of the tribe.

Which is known as the actually administrative engine of the Bel-nysuch, each of these may be placed within the scope of authority under popular consensus, but they often follow more orders from higher ups than those they impose on the positions below theirs, many times even being forced to have their policies tracked by performance indicators as to guarantee their governing is done in a manner which represents the objectives of the bel-nysuch elites correctly; this class also is put into the responsibility of overseeing many other things, such as social stability and daily logistics.

The majority of the members of the bel-nysuch don't inhabit either of the previously mentioned classes though, instead they lay within the general workfroce, members often classified within the group of associates, encompassing the vast majority of the members which have managed to not only work within their disposed positions, which mostly give wages which alow them to live within illuminated sectors and to even save enough to partake in the games the tribe is so famous for, all seen as a way to contribute with the economy's movement.

Something they also do via their work at gaming tables, scouting around the Orhon Thick Ominous Woods, or doing other types of services, most likely as a way to dream into reaching the management position.

==Military==

The military force of the Bel-nyusch tribal zu'aan is responsible for serving a role within specialized divisions assigned to the defense of many of the assets that an economy-based tribe needs to keep protected from potential attacks, thus avoiding many of the common theses of shaping armed forces around patriotism; instead, it is a sort of enforcement branch which represents the will of the top of the corporate ladder, keeping the physical integrity of casinos and of the individuals which partake in them in constant check, also to prevent any attempt at presenting loopholes or attempts to get away with debt.

The frontline which represents the armed forces of the Bel-nyusch tribal zu'aan is composed of a set of hyper-vigilant units which are equipped with heavy sets of armor and weaponry, and they are colloquially known as Bouncers due to their constant presence in places which are related to gambling and its spaces. Their mission is expressed solely within a defensive and territorial scope, being placed where the illuminated perimeters meet the pitch-black atmosphere of the Orhon Thick Ominous Woods.

There, they are responsible not only for keeping track of potential indebted people which attempt to flee without their consequences being done, but also to identify and observe potential groups which approach the tribe, be they kin'toni or rival, indebted tribes. They are legally allowed to utilize heavy and blunt weaponry to dispose of such threats, while the Bouncers placed within the internal regions of the tribe often carry less heavy weaponry but are also very well-equipped and trained.

The Bel-nyusch tribal zu'aan also composed an incredibly highly skilled team of members responsible for extracting any attempts at fleeing with debt, being allowed to scout outside of the tribe's territory in search of an indebted individual who refuses to pay the "house" properly; these Elite Trackers are trained and specialized in navigating the incredibly ominous regions of the forest. They are oftentimes bloodthirsty in their hunt and can also be used as guns-for-hire in certain scenarios when individuals choose to seek their debt in murdersome ways within the interior of the tribe.

This sector of the military force is fully authorized to seize physical assets, livestock, or even the very lives of individuals when employed by the Executive Board of the tribe, and their trials are also lessened in situations where they kill individuals improperly, since they aren't fully made aware of the nature of their task when they're employed. The military is seen popularly in a very divided fashion; with many members within higher economic rankings seeing it as a necessary force that allows for their financial freedom to be fully secured and to express itself at physical levels.

As for the class of individuals which encompass the workforce or that are indebted, the outlook towards the military is certainly a more oppressive one, considering that many members can often be under threat by simply taking too long to pay a debt they haven't fully realized they had.

==Religion==

The religion of the Bel-nyusch tribal zu'aan focuses much on the ideal of socially gluing individuals within the tribe with their fundamental notions needed to run their firm-functioning of society and for the betting games run by elites to thrive internally and externally. This allows for their theology to act as a strong means to bridge the gap between all of what the developed status-quo had become and the necessary indoctrination over tribe members to keep them under the needed trance to live in the conditions they are put in.

The goal of said religion then becomes to personify the ideal of luck as a mathematical force which justifies the alienation of the tribe. The nature of such a necessary deity follows the core concepts around random number generation, basically creating a core for the worshiping of luck and of the endless possibilities that can be achieved from nearly impossible scenarios. This deity is seen as the one responsible for all of the possible scales and outcomes which are possible from a play.

Instead of being a properly conscious being which decides what happens, it presents its responsibility as something natural instead of a properly made choice. This already rejects within the tribe the idea of an all-powerful "good" god, instead preferring the cold comfort of probability, allowing for the divine to roam the earth in the various expressions the game may possess. Furthermore, the entire religious dynamic of the tribe often relies on accepting a cold reality presented by the universe instead of attempting to challenge it in manners such as placing a "god of the gaps" argument in much of the unknown things within the world of Taerel.

Such accepted coldness comes often in divine revelation for the members of the tribe via the manners in which they can exist within such a contrasting and cruel world with a stance of passive endurance; this is utilized as an argument to justify that their manner of living is the only pure one left, the one which tells the zu'aan to remain in the game regardless of the given hand. Thus, being sacred within the religion of the Bel-nyusch tribal zu'aan is to remain unshakeable in the face of loss, which allows you to prove you yourself stand strong against the presented odds of the world.

The layout of the whole tribe not only serves feelings of alienation and emotional manipulation as a means to concentrate even more wealth around the elites which own the means for casinos and games, but also around their entire religion, which some argue is a manner to strengthen the harmful lifestyle kept up by the members of the tribe. We often see omnipresence being expressed in extremely tiny ways, such as contrasting the background around a playing table, meeting such a shiny and clean game with a more gloomy and sad background.

Although it stood alone in a manner which allowed livelihood within such a challenging world. Furthermore, this makes it so much of their worship is expressed through material means, such as by cleaning the same tables or by simply playing and accepting defeat even despite good odds.
