==History==
===Historical Overview===

Agever is a special expanse of land located within the semi-underground valleys of the northeastern [[Cazodma Hills]] border. Often described as a 'maze-like dungeon', it is built like an open-ceiling cave, with strands of rock passing overhead but not isolating it completely from the air. On the the ground, a small swamp-like biome has developed from the water trickling down the top. It has remained free of zu'aan until the Awakening Age, where a bunch of refugees fled to the semi-caves. Throughout almost the entirety of zu'aan history, Agever has remained desert, only populated by wild life. Records suggest that it may have been discovered as early as the Copper Age, but accurate dating is uncertain.

Due to its dangerous and hard-to-reach location, the zu'aan saw little to no purpose in colonizing the semi-caves, and they have remained like that through most of Taerel's history. In recent times before the Awakening Age, the place had gained a sort of popularity among travelers, adventurers and photographers as an aesthetic destination, as well as a mountain-climbling site for hikers looking for a different kind of challenge. Biologists also took an interest, due to the largely isolated and unique ecological system that developed in the swamp, and many temporary base-camps, whose remains can still be found, were founded. Outside of these areas, though, Agever remained somewhat unknown and a niche location for anyone outside of the surrounding lands.

As of the Awakening Age, many refugees sought to flee north, as they believed that the kin'toni would be weaker in the colder temperatures and that the mountains would serve as protection. A fair number of them found themselves in Agever after transversing the Cazodma Hills, and stayed due to its enclosed nature. Due to the fact that the places surrounding Agever are large arrays of attractive land that are mainly occupied by zu'aan, the vast majority, if not all, of kin'toni conflicts and attacks have occurred outside of Agever, and they have been, overall, very lucky. As of the Twilight Age, the zu'aan of Agever are suffering the effects of the northern chill like any other, as the colder seasons stay longer and longer and threaten to freeze the marshes that serve as the beacon for their entire ecosystem.

Normally, northern zu'aan colonies benefit from the Twilight Age in the sense that they have to deal less with kin'toni, as they tend to move south, issues with the cold aside. The Twilight Age, however, seems to have brought nothing but misfortune upon the people of Agever. Due to their location semi-underground, the cold has affected them less than it has affected those close to them, and so a considerable portion of the population has been steadily moving south as they remain in the same spot. This means that the surrounding zu'aan relative to Agever has been diminishing gradually. These zu'aans, incidentally, served as the main line of defense against the kin'toni, keeping them occupied and away from Agever.

So as more of them move out and grow sparse in the wild, the more leaks and cracks are there to be found for the attacking kin'toni clans. As such, the number of accidents and conflicts between the Agever zu'aan and outsider kin'toni during what little time there has been in the Twilight Age has already surpassed those of the Awakening.

==Geography ==

Agever is a maze-like partially underground ecosystem that exists in the northeastern border of Cazodma Hills. The hills in this particular zone turn very jagged and rocky, and fissures open within the earth. Over many years, water from Cazodma has trickled down within these fissures, and plant life began to grow, forming a small but life-welcoming swampy grove. Due to its lower location relative to the surrounding hills, Agever suffers the most from precipitation, as rain water will hit it directly and also flow down from the southwest. As such, Agever came to possess deep trenches of water within its grounds. Due to the fact that Agever is a semi-underground biome, light is able to reach it on various spots, where tree life has been able to grow throughout the ages.

As such, it is classified as a swamp-like biome. Luckily, rain and water currents have sufficiently eroded the rock, and anytime the water floods past its supposed limit, it is lost to the cavities on the cave. As such, actual flooding is fairly rare in Agever in spite of the large flow of rain water. Agever remains humid and cool through most of the year, chilling down during winter and fall and remaining temperate during summer and spring. Its location semi-underground keeps it very isolated from the surrounding climates, and it is able to remain balanced and, due to the large amounts of plant life, fresh. The dark and dank atmosphere sometimes causes problems related to insect life, but the overhead openings from which sunlight leaks through tips the scale in favor of an almost perfectly balanced ecosystem.

By zu'aan standards, it is a very comfortable enviromnent, putting the insect life aside. Agever stands in the location just south of the negative temperature line, meaning it does not suffer from snowing or even hail. Storms and strong winds are also fairly inconsequential due to its enclosed nature, and it does not suffer from any significant natural disaster. The main obstacle of living in Agever is the occasional rockfalls that come from above, as the rocky hills can become unstable with time. As such, the zu'aan try to avoid the edge of the ravines, and of the Twilight Age, as technology has managed to advance a little once more, preventive measures are taken to ensure the maintenance of the cliffs.

The region consistent of the hills above Agever is considered to be part of Casodma Hills and is classified as one of its sub-regions. Otherwise, Agever is consistent of simple lake formations and swamp-like plant life, such as trees, water grass and reeds. It generally remains verdant throughout the entire year, and all of its water is freshwater. There are a number of ores that have been discovered by the zu'aan as of the Awakening Age, but due to structure stability issues mining has been kept to a minimum, and is typically performed far away from zu'aan settlements. The zu'aan have done their best to remain hidden while also constructing ways to make the wildly-jagged paths of the caves walk-able by their standards and as least dangerous as possible.
== Plants ==

Plant life in Ageve is somewhat plenty and varied. Here are some examples: Rehe'tanfei, a rare, tall plant that grows on the shores of the marshes. It is golden or silver in color, and produces an elegant triangular flower at the end of its thin stalk, adorned by a single large leaf. Composed of four to five petals, these spread themselves lenghtwise facing the few cracks in the ceiling of Agever. In the core of these flowers lies a silver round nucleus that shines like a mirror in the sun, and is capable of reflecting sunlight almost perfectly. These are used by each individual plant in symbiosis with one another, as plants who grow in shaded spots or do not have enough sunlight will be provided for by the reflecting light of the others.

Their ability to triangulate their reflective spheres so that they may hit the petals of surrounding flowers show an incredible amount of spatial awareness for a plant and has been widely researched. These plants exist in many other partially shaded spots. Strangely, perhaps because they would have many unnecessary adaptations, they do not grow elsewhere. Their petals are edible and used to make a sweet brand of tea. The Agever variants are particularly sweet. They flower in summer and spring, when there is more intense sunlight, and generally avoid the rainy seasons and focus on spreading their roots. They reproduce via seeds and pollen, which are spread during the warm months.

As there is a small amount of animal wild life in Agever, they are generally not consumed by any species other than zu'aan, which breed them carefully and avoid using wild plants. Uorra'uau, a type of reed commonly found around swamps and marshes. It is generally overlooked by zu'aan and not a very important plant, but the specific cultivar that has developed naturally within the Agever caves has grown to have some local renown due to its useful paper making properties. Certain chemical singularities present in Agever have made it possible for the plant to develop a slightly different, and yet very changing, change within their anatomical composition, making it so it is possible to create rudimentary sheets from their crushed stalks and leaves.

They have been mainly utilized by the post Awakening Age zu'aan to create basic forms of record keeping. There are a number of uorra'uau cultivation sites around Agever, artificially built by the zu'aan, as accidental eradication of the species was a concern. This reed requires very little conditions to develop, so creating vast amounts of cultivation grounds for them was very feasible for the zu'aan. They are not edible for zu'aan, and they are best for harvesting during autumn, and best for planting during spring. They are green in color and can grow very sturdy if left to ripen. They have an average thickness (9 inches) and grow up to three to four meters. Their leaves are pointed straight up and shaped like thin ovals.

== Animals ==

Birds that are light enough not to be stuck in the swamps dominate the Agever Lush Swampy Grove. More often, these places are visited from the surrounding regions. In addition, due to the lack of potential threats to both the birds themselves and their nests, many birds build their nests right on the ground in the vegetation.

'''Lind'''

Lind is a fairly large bird a head taller than a zu’aan. The bright emerald plumage is quite peculiarly combined with the colors of the grove, which is why the bird, even in the wild, is able to hide from prying eyes, despite its large size. Large, literally gigantic wings are covered with large feathers that delightfully shimmer in the sun. This bird feeds mainly on fish and various amphibians, which perfectly allows her to make her structure. Lind has a small body, a long neck and an extremely long beak compared to its body. Long webbed feet allow this bird to cope well with swampy terrain and crossing other bodies of water in search of food. As such, the lind does not have a tail; instead, this bird has many bright iridescent feathers.

In the past, during the dawn of the zu’aan, it was believed that the feathers of this bird could bring incredible luck to a person, and the bird itself could bring happiness, money and prosperity, so in the past, many rich zu’aan kept this bird in their homes. They live in small families, and build nests mainly near water bodies, they do not really like to leave those places where they live and only in extreme cold move south

'''Wakel'''

Wakel is a small blue bird that loves to live in the bushes. Due to its preferences, it is often confused with harva fruits. They have a rather fluffy short body, which makes them look rather round. The legs are short and usually close to the body, making them almost invisible at normal times. The beak is quite long, but thin, like a needle, its wakel uses to pierce the bark of trees. Feeds on insects and tree sap. It flies quickly and with sharp changes of direction, it is forced to attach itself to trees at night with the help of its beak, since its wings cannot be fully folded due to its rounded body. Otherwise, it will be constantly blown away by the wind.

'''Kalukai'''

Kalukai is a small fish that lives exclusively in local waters. This large population feeds on plants. Bright red fish lives in the upper layers of the water and in cold weather sinks to the bottom. It is the main food source for birds in this region. In the past, zu'aan was used as decoration

'''Selgrok'''

Selgrok - This is a small amphibian, also living mainly in the water. Since this species is widespread, there are an incredible number of subspecies of these individuals, but most of them differ in size, color and degree of toxicity. The smaller the individual and the brighter its coloring, up to colors that are completely unnatural in nature, the more poisonous the individual, the same thing and vice versa. The larger and more inconspicuous the selgrok, the safer it is. Selgrok feeds on insects
