The meadow beach of the Achusko region was once a place for the wealth and powerful to get away from the demands of life in the Xerea Empire and enjoy the beauty of the coast. They built temporary homes and villas for their brief holidays. They employed numerous gardeners and landscape architects to keep the location looking beautiful and clean. The place became a paradise for those allowed to visit it. The visitors and their guests induldged in their pleasures and vices within the secluded borders of their paradise. It is said the initial idea for creating super soldiers may have sprung from an event held in a temporary palace.

However the paradise getaway could not survive the events of the empire’s fall. The land returned to its untamed nature as the Empire crumpled and the kin'toni began sweeping across the continent. Several clans and settlements attempted to claim the region, but none held it for long. With each changing of who’s in charge, the identities and cultures of the prior settlers became lost to time and memory. The constant fighting and bloodshed changed the landscape as the vegetation swallowed the bodies and drank up the blood. Strange plants and animals started appearing.

As the remnants of the former cultures attracted different ecosystems to blend with the environment. Taking advantage of the turmoil, the [[N'vang Kin'toni Clan]] swept through and ensnared the zu'aan settlers and any clanless kin'toni they found. They took complete control of the region and it’s inhabitants. The borders were reinforced and watched while the main settlement was built near to the beach itself. There the clan began building its own civilisation and preparing for the likely repercussions that comes with taking control of such a desirable region.

They began cultivating the region to suit their tastes and lifestyle. Over time they established smaller settlements to house their other members and the zu'aan they raise to have a continuous food supply. Watchtowers and military bases began appearing near the land borders. While the Clanhouse became its own watchtower for the ocean coast. They tore out many of the strange plants and hunted the wildlife in the hopes of replacing them with things they enjoy. They attempted to tame the land and repair the damage that it suffer during the years of war and death.

And so the land began to heal and become once more a paradise for those who now control it. Now the N’vang clan lives comfortably in their Clanhouse and the settlements and bases. The rough hills where the corpses of the former clan were buried have been smoothed flat, the beach cleared of debris, the meadows groomed and lush, and the gardens near the settlements now look bountiful and vibrant. The clan is able to hunt and fish for food that suits their palates. However, they were unsuccessful in taking out all of the plants and animals left behind from the previous residents of the region.

And so they spend time hunting and culling the undesired plants and animals.

==Geography==

The beach meadow once was a paradise for the wealthy and powerful zu'aan of the empire with lush green hilly fields leading to a short cliff before a vast stretch sparkling white sandy beach. The rolling hills gave way to lovely flat fields of grass and flowers that reached towards the opposite border. The beach sunk into glistening clear waters and a coral reef before opening up to the depths of the ocean. To the south of the coast there was a jetty of sandy smooth rocks that broke off from a rising cliff face. To the north the beach curved around an outcropping before blending into the fertile lands of the neighbouring delta region.

When the empire fell the land was abandoned and the vegetation grew wild and the growth changed the look of the region as the small cliff ledge fell to the pressure of the plant roots and became a slanted slope with scattered tuffs of plants bleeding into a beach that has lost its sparkling white hue as the people who tended to it have disappeared. The cliff face to the south became jagged and sharp as more of it fell to add to the jetty. The water near the beach became clouded with debris from the forgotten temporary buildings. The hills in the meadow lost some of their rolling smoothness as their gardeners had all perished during the fall.

The wild growth twisted knots of roots and created places where the ground gave way and animals built dens and burrows. The animals took brief control of the wild meadows and their burrowing and tunnelling weakened the structure of much of the land and created divots and cracks in the flatlands and outcropping that hid caves and dens used by the more predatory animals.
When the zu'aan settlers and kin'toni clans came in hopes of claiming the land, the land became constantly transformed by fighting and hunting. New hills were formed as the groups covered the dead with fresh soil.

The beach became littered with remnants of battle and small destroyed buildings and tents. Several battlements dotted the cliff face and jetty, only to fall victim to the ravages of shifting tides. The coastal outcropping gained a wall of broken wood planks from the broken settlements and barricades. The waters became filled with dangerous debris and traps. With each new temporary owner, the land was introduced to strange new vegetation and animals. The N’vang clan rested control of the region and attempted to repair much of the damage done by the constant turmoil.

The makeshift carns were destroyed as the bodies were removed and buried deep into the flat fields. Much of the strange plants and animals have been exterminated and replaced with ones that the clan finds more pleasing. The beach as been cleared of debris and a massive Clanhouse has been built near to the outcropping while the battlements along the cliff and jetty have been refurbished and made water safe. The borders and hilly fields are now dotted with watchtowers and small settlements and bases.

==Plants==

While much of the meadow is covered in grass and basic weeds, the constant shifting of controlling factions have changed the vegetation until there were unique variants and new strains of plant life that are virulent and un moved by the efforts of the N’vang clan. The beach is almost barren save for a few shrubs and weeds, but also now sports a few bushes and short trees as a border between the sand and the meadows. The corral reef is home to many sea plants and seaweed. While the jetty is home to a few tuffs of succulent shrubs.
One of the strange new plants that grows amongst the grass fields of the meadows is the bre vath plant.

The bre vath is called such because of the light blue tinge on the petals it uses to attract insects. The stem is bulbous and long and bends in a slight s shape like the snake it is named after. The stem is also hollow and filled with a slight acidic agent, and near the pedals it has bright green barbs that hide its opening. When an insect lands on the slick petals or on the barbs, the bre vath will close its petals around the unsuspecting victim and the barbs retract forcing the insect to fall into the hollow stem where they are slowly broken down by the acidic agent.

Another of the variants that reside in the region is the ghamu or morra'she. These blood red flowers have black under petals and purple bulbs attached its stem. The bulbs of these flowers can be used to create a powerful addictive drug that can induce deep sleep in heavy doses while in smaller doses it can relieve pain and give the person a sense of euphoria. It was originally planted by one of the forgotten lesser clans in the hopes of using the bulbs to help catch zu'aan and as a medicine for their warrior. However, due to the blending and melding of different plants.

This variation also causes slight paralysis in the lesser extremities if taken in moderate doses. When the plant is in pollinating season the matured bulbs may detach and be carried off by the breeze. Thus that season can be dangerous to breath through ones mouth in case of accidental ingestion. One of the plants that the N’vang cultivated in the beach meadow is the he weeping violets. These pale violet flowered plants are pleasing to the eye and nose as they look like miniature willow trees and smell sweet and refreshing. They have introduced these lovely little plants into the fields near the settlements.

And the petals are often seen fluttering in the air during windy days. The plants have another interesting benefit in that their scent acts as a deterrent for particular carnivorous insects. This has led to many of the clan members using this scent as a perfume.

==Animals==

After the fall of the empire and during the warring period much of the wildlife overtook the region and larger animals appeared. The different settlers introduced several of their own preferred animals and significantly altered the fauna over the years. One of the new additions to the wildlife of the region is the keara-daar iterl. These iterl are known for their savage extended canine fangs that protrude from their snouts. With these large fangs they have been known to rip through their prey and even pierce through some forms of light armour.

They have a coat of mottled grey and brown fur with black markings that are noticeable around the face. They are only slightly bigger than the largest iterl in the area and prefer to live in dens underneath many of the larger hills. Another of the imported animals from the forgotten settlers is the the haurkl irua. This large shorebird has light blue plumage with grey markings and white undercoats. Their bill is serrated and long to allow them to catch fish and break through the shells of crustaceans. They have a six foot wingspan and stand at four feet.

Their stalky legs end in three curved talons on each foot that prove excellent for gripping the smooth surfaces when standing on the jetty and the cliff while offering balance on the sands. Dangerous fish now live in the corral reef. One such example is the nathial. Though called a fish this animal is really more of a small lia. It’s bright Orange scales cover the the top of the lia, while pale red scales cover the underbelly. They have bright yellow markings on their fins and snout. Seven rows of razor sharp teeth fill their maw and they are known to bite through bone and most armour.

While somewhat docile normally, if they are surprised or feel attacked they will instinctively begin biting at their presumed attackers until there is no more movement near them. The N’vang clan brought many animals they enjoy to keep and to hunt when they took over the region. One such animal is the gohar ate adara. This serpent is almost completely black in colour with crimson markings in the shape of a skull on its hood. It’s eleven feet in length and prefers to coil in grassy burrows to hide from its prey and any larger creatures. It is extremely venomous and a single bite from one of these snakes can cause sweating and nausea before vomiting blood and eventually death.
