== History ==

Massive tectonic activity throughout the ancient period resulted in the formation of the hills, with shifting plates of the earth's crust producing soaring peaks and deep valleys. Nomadic tribes that wandered the grassy plains and scant woodlands that encircled the hills were the first people to live in the area. They left only a few fragments of stone implements and some simple engravings in the stones that littered the area as their only traces of existence.

New tribes moved into the region as the Bronze Age began, attracted by the abundant copper and tin deposits that could be found in the hills. These people started to build a sophisticated system of agriculture and animal husbandry, as well as permanent settlements. During the Iron Age, the Neuson Stone Hills became a major center of trade and commerce, with caravans of traders passing through the area en route to far-off lands. The people of the hills grew wealthy and powerful, forging alliances with neighboring tribes and developing sophisticated systems of governance and law. In the Ancient Age, the hills were ruled by a powerful empire that stretched across the surrounding lands. Its rulers were known for their architectural prowess, and many of the most impressive stone structures in the region date from this period. 


Temples, palaces, and civic buildings dotted the landscape, their walls adorned with intricate carvings and inscriptions. The Neuson Stone Hills were immersed in chaos and warfare throughout the Middle Ages as warring tribes struggled for control of the territory. The hills were strewn with castles and fortresses, each a stronghold of a powerful lord or chieftain. Battles were fought on the hills and in the valleys, and the population of the area were always afraid of raids and marauders.

The Neuson Stone Hills were immersed in chaos and warfare throughout the Middle Ages as warring tribes struggled for control of the area. Each castle and fortification on the hills served as a stronghold for a powerful lord or chieftain. The population of the area lived in constant fear of attacks and marauders as battles were fought on the slopes and in the valleys. 


Around the beginning of the Rebirth Era, the wealthy merchant class that had emerged in the nearby cities began to commission works of art and architecture from the most talented craftspeople in the region, which led to a cultural and aesthetic revival in the Neuson Stone Hills. The slopes were lined with beautiful homes and gardens, and art, painting, and music were all in style.The Neuson Stone Hills were crucial in the advancement of modern science and technology during the Early Modern Period. 

Some of the brightest minds of the time, who worked in areas ranging from engineering to astronomy, called the area home. The brilliant devices and equipment created in the workshops and labs of the hills were instrumental in enabling many of the most astounding scientific breakthroughs of the time. In the Awakening Age, the hills were controlled by the Ak'noth Tribe, who had fled from the kin'toni in their home regions of the Ilir Plains. In the Twilight Age, the [[Nalny Tribal Zu'aan]] took over the Hills after a war with the Ak'noth time that drove the Ak'noth into the nearly Pa'rish Forest. 




== Geography ==

The Neuson Stone Hills are a natural wonder, characterized by their rugged terrain, towering rock formations, and sweeping vistas. Located in the heart of a vast, untamed wilderness, these hills were a haven for those seeking solitude and adventure alike in the pre-Awakening Age times. The Neuson Stone Hills' terrain is defined by high cliffs, deep gorges, and craggy, rocky outcroppings. The hills are mostly made of granite, a strong, resistant rock that has endured the effects of erosion and weathering for millions of years. 

Wind, water, and ice have etched intricate patterns into the rock throughout time, creating breathtaking natural formations that appear almost unearthly in their magnificence. The vegetation of the Neuson Stone Hills is sparse and hardy, with only the toughest and most adaptable plants able to survive in such an unforgiving environment. Scrubby bushes and stunted trees cling to the rocky slopes, their twisted branches reaching out like gnarled fingers. Moss and lichen grow in profusion on the shaded faces of the cliffs, their delicate fronds adding a splash of color to the otherwise barren landscape. 


Despite its harshness, the Nalim Crag is home to a surprising variety of wildlife. The crag is home to several species of raptors, including the soaring aiya and the fierce vaisi that glide high above the cliffs in search of prey. nahai and varika can be found on the steepest and most inaccessible slopes, their nimble hooves allowing them to navigate even the most treacherous terrain with ease. The stealthy predators like the tenyu, acyvir, and night ekish skulk through the rocky gullies, their keen senses alert for any sign of food or danger.  

A diversity of aquatic species may be found in the rivers and streams that flow through the Nalim Crag. The sleek bodies of the silver fins and the rainbow glimmers rush through the rapids in search of a spot to lay their eggs as they spawn in the cool, clear waters. Iakc, yao'ka and dih'tya construct their homes along the banks, their sleek bodies gliding through the water with ease as they engage in play or go on food hunts. Despite their remote location, the Neuson Stone Hills have played an important role in the history and culture of the surrounding region.


The hills have long been a source of inspiration for artists, poets, and writers, who have sought to capture their rugged beauty in words and images.  The indigenous peoples of the region have also long held the Neuson Stone Hills in reverence, viewing them as a sacred place imbued with spiritual significance.In the Genetic Age, the Neuson Stone Hills was a popular region as a destination for hikers, climbers, and explorers looking to test their abilities and push their limitations. 

A network of paths and routes winds across the hills, offering everything from leisurely strolls to strenuous climbs that demand specialised gear and highly developed abilities. The Neuson Stone Hills was one of the few areas that would have truly provided a wilderness experience for those seeking it. Due to the kin'toni outbreak, the outdoor adventure places are abandoned, only the  Nalny Tribal Zu'aan live here now, in camps built from local stone and with turf roofs. 


The Neuson Stone Hills are noted for their magnificent geological structures, in addition to the plants and animals that live there. The hills are made of an old kind of granite rich in minerals and crystals such as feldspar, quartz, and mica. Weathering and erosion of these rocks have formed an awe-inspiring and intimidating environment of jagged peaks, deep gorges, and rolling valleys over the millennia.


== Plants ==

The Neuson Stone Hills are home to a rich array of plant life that has adapted to flourish in the region's harsh and rough terrain. The vivid kx'wyi, a tiny shrub known for its brilliant red and orange blooms that bloom profusely during the summer months, is one of the most prominent species. Because of its deep root structure, which allows it to tap into underground water sources, the kx'wyi is a resilient plant that can live even in the driest and most parched environments. 

Aside from its eye-catching beauty, the kx'wyi is regarded for its medical properties, as its leaves may be used to prepare a relaxing tea that is supposed to relieve a range of ailments. The yoa'tor tree, a tall, thin tree famed for its vivid yellow leaves that gleam like sunlight, is another well-known species found in the Neuson Stone Hills. The yoa'tor grows out in bunches all over the hillsides and can reach heights of up to 40 feet. The sun's rays are reflected off the tree's tiny, scale-covered leaves, giving it the energy it needs to survive in this hostile environment. 


Many of the surrounding species depend on the yoa'tor for food since birds and small animals enjoy its tiny, delectable fruits. The iurala'ah (crystalline-tree), a delicate climbing plant that thrives in the shade of the rocky outcroppings, is one of the most remarkable plant species discovered in the Neuson Stone Hills. The iurala'ah gets its name from its transparent leaves and stems, which are supposed to twinkle like priceless diamonds when exposed to sunshine. The plant can take nutrients from the nearby rocks and its roots can go through even the hardest stone. 

The iurala'ah is a favourite of the neighbourhood craftspeople, who make exquisite and elaborate jewellery out of its leaves. Numerous types of mushrooms, moulds, and other fungi thrive in the moist, rocky soil of the Neuson Stone Hills, which also supports a diverse array of fungi. One of the most amazing of them is the iktra mushroom, a fungus that produces a soft, bioluminescent light that illuminates the forest floor like a field of stars.  Another fascinating fungus found here is the dannih, a robust, woody mushroom that grows on the exposed roots of trees.


It absorbs nutrition directly from the rock itself. The Neuson Stone Hills' flora is just as diverse and fascinating as the area's fauna. From the vibrant kx'wyi to the delicate iurala'ah, every species has adapted to this harsh environment and has become a vital part of the distinct ecology that exists here.


== Animals ==

Numerous species that have adapted to the harsh, rocky terrain can be found in the Neuson Stone Hills. The pashrik, a tiny, agile mammal with powerful hind legs that enable it to leap tremendous distances, is one of the most remarkable creatures that call this location home. It is nearly hard to notice the stone leaper due to its mottled gray-brown coat, which nicely matches the rocky environment. A remarkable additional inhabitant of the Neuson Stone Hills is the sfaynu, a lean and elegant predator that prowls the cliffs and crags in search of food. 

The faynu is comparable in size to a large house cat, but it has longer limbs and a sleeker, more muscular body that makes it easier for it to scale high rock slopes. With tufted ears and a long, tapering tail that helps with balance, it has rich black hair. taeroih, a sort of enormous, magnificent bird that can remain in the air for extended periods of time without beating its wings, may be found in the sky above the Neuson Stone Hills. The gliders have up to fifteen-foot wingspan and sparkling, iridescent blue-green feathers that catch the light.


They catch food on the ground far below using their excellent eyesight as they graze on the plentiful thermals that rise from the rocks warmed by the sun. Finally, the rocky outcroppings and crevices are home to a wide variety of insects and arachnids, including the ikut'poa a fearsome predator that is covered in sharp spines and uses its powerful jaws to subdue prey. The ikut'poa is a master of camouflage, blending seamlessly into the rocky surroundings until it strikes with lightning speed. 

The troa is a huge, lumbering animal with a thick, sturdy, muscled body. Its head is covered in a pair of long, curving horns, and it has thick, greyish-brown fur. The troa is incredibly nimble and can move at a startling pace when necessary despite its size and heft. With the help of its strong claws, it digs out roots and tubers for food. Overall, the ecosystem of the Neuson Stone Hills is intriguing and distinctive, and it is home to a broad range of animals that have adapted to the hard and unforgiving climate.
