The Zsreyur Battleground is located between the Valley of Kara, between the cities of Mehzar and Furta. Both the cities are located on either side of the valley, on higher grounds of the mountains. The river of Kara runs in this valley, which is a very wide yet shallow water body. This river sources both the cities of Mehzar and Furta, meaning both are dependent on Kara for their water. The city of Furta lies upstream and Mehzar lies in the downstream direction. The temperature of this valley are highly fluctuating, the day being warm while the nights freezing. The valley is known for its fertile soil and herbs present there, along with agricultural crops that act as food sources for civilizations across the valley. The entry to the valley is blocked during the winters as snow piles up and completely cuts the passage off. It is a busy and properly civilized valley with several villages lying across its great span. It has a very steep slope, often disallowing a direct exit via the walls of the mountains. The soil has excellent water retentivity and completely neutral pH that facilitates growth of almost all plants. It however does not sustain any major animal life. | The Zsreyur Battleground is located between the Valley of Kara, between the cities of Mehzar and Furta. Rilrt | '''Rilrt'''
Rilrt is a herb very popularly known amongst the villagers and cities for its medicinal properties. It has a very short, bush-like body and every part of the plant has some healing properties, the leaves having the most. It reproduces via sexual reproduction and releases spores under unfavorable conditions. While being short in height, its roots extend relatively deep in the ground for better anchorage. It requires very little water and can actually die in excess of water. During the battle, this plant was used extensively by the soldiers in order to survive and help with minor injuries and illnesses. This plant usually grows in the middle grounds of the plains, where the water is neither too much nor completely out of reach. Due to the constant movement on that ground and the blood, this plant's population in the area faced a scarcity, as it was used but not regrown. The alkaline nature of blood also affected the population by a lot.

'''Whoeck''' | |||
Whoeck is a tall crop, the adult standing at 4-5 feet in length. This is a crop plant that is used for food and farming. The grains contain high amounts of starch that help replenish energy and provide nutrition. It reproduces sexually and also asexually via budding, where the parent plant grows a new bundle of cells from one of the body parts and lets the bundle mature before completely detaching it and letting it grow into a new plant by itself. It is a highly resistant plant and requires a lot of water for growth.
During the battle these plants were used as a source of food and cut down as collateral damage of the war, leading to scarcity in the nearby villages and lack of ration. The alkalinity of blood did not affect the plant much but other components of it absolutely killed several plants.
'''Aget''' | |||
Aget is a kind of short grass that uses animals such as house flies and beetles for its sexual reproduction, having those insects carry their gametes to another compatible plant. They have a very bad odor to them, caused by glands present on their roots that release sulfur containing substances that contribute to the smell similar to rotten material. They usually follow obtain nutrition by water as they remain under the water, growing in the area of the river bank where the water remains relatively shallow.
Aget is found more in the side of the Furta's hills' side of the river. The army on the hills' side would often pluck these plants and throw them near the enemy's food supplies secretly during the night, causing insects to swarm their food and daily needs and polluting them, causing sickness and death.

The animals of Zseyur Battleground are scarce, often consisting mostly of insects and venomous animals that live underground or in the river. The area lacks any large carnivores or predators as prey is scarce and starvation is easy to fall into. The battle caused these smaller animals too to either go into hiding or survive the changes. | The animals of Zseyur Battleground are scarce, often consisting mostly of insects and venomous animals that live underground or in the river. Ahate are very small worms that live under the ground. The body consists of several circular ring-like segments and a scaly skin. They are hermaphrodites, meaning there is no distinction between sexes. They lack digits and eyes, and rely on touch and sound vibrations to navigate their surroundings. They feed on the soil present and them throw it back out after extracting minerals and nutrients from it. They have a very efficient digestive system that makes them highly productive in absorbing nutrients. They were eaten by the soldiers on both sides in large amount due to their nutritional value and dire situations. This affected their populations highly. It was important to heat them before cooking, as they relied on a poison release mechanism for defense, having killed a few soldiers in the early phases of the battle.

During rainy season, the valley remains at an extremely high risk of flooding. To counter this issue the cities of Mehzar and Furta along with smaller villages made a dam up the river to control the rainwater and prevent flooding and damage to the villages living there along with both the cities that would be adversely affected by the flood too. The area is flushed by the river but does not house a vast variety of animals. Instead, it grows many plants.
The villagers practice terrace farming in the slope of the mountains as despite its risks, it is a great method of agriculture. plants that require a lot of water are usually provided for by the river but terrace farming is widely practiced for herbs in the area and proves beneficial to the villagers on several accounts. This valley was formed by the collision of two minor tectonic plates, meaning it lies on the border of those two plates. This makes the area highly susceptible to natural disasters like rock falls, earthquakes, landslides, etc.
As it narrows down the risk of such events increases. Thus the dam has to be regularly repaired and maintained by clans, otherwise leading to breaking and extreme floods causing hundreds of casualties. The head of this valley has a very small opening caused by tectonic events that contains an active volcano that releases highly volatile gases and lava. It is a very minor volcano with low risk of eruption and lies very far from civilization for it to cause any harm. The walls of the two mountains on which the two major cities are located converge to form this valley head but due to landslides and erosion, such an opening was formed leading to the birth of the volcano.
Plants
The flora of the plains consists of medicinal herbs and food crops. These plants require moderate to high water for optimal growth and a completely neutral water pH and proper sunlight. They are highly sensitive to changes and can either enter dormancy or die completely. They are perennial plants, flowering only once a year. During the battle and as a consequence of it, the plants in the area incurred lot of damage and destruction.
Rilrt
